Plateaus

I keep going in circles.... I hit a plateau... then get frustrated... then tend to put on some weight... then I loose it again... then the cycle begins again....

I am confident... things will be better this year now that I am aware of what is happening

two things - snacking on left overs (I try to put things straight into the fridge to avoid cutting off just a tiny second bit of that quiche/spoon of that stew etc and another and another etc), and working time in for exercise around mine and my daughter's schedule (lifting etc)

Hi there!
I have recently recommitted to following a healthy lifestyle, and I am working hard to get at my goal. I joined Spark Coach about 2 weeks ago, and it is really helping.

My biggest obstacle is at work, and in my car. I work 3rd shift, and my co-workers are always bringing in high calorie snacks. The doc we work with loves ice cream, and treats us often, I try to bring healthy snacks, but all too often, I give into what looks so good. I will continue to take good and healthy snacks to work, and I am really trying to resist the temptations of the food they bring.

In my car, I tend to like to get a fast food breakfast. I know this is not good. I need to have a good breakfast with me, so I'm not feeling hungry.

I am serious about my goals, and I am working hard to get there. This looks like a good team for me, and I'm glad I joined!

I have two major hurdles: time management, and bad knees. Both interfere with my life in insidious ways, generally right when I don't want them to. But I'm still making progress, if slowly!

I have enablers in my home but the worse of it all is that I have lost my appetite and have been having trouble eating. Last night we went to a restaurant and all I ordered was a salad and only ate 1/4 of it. This is the 5th day in a row that I have been like this. I think that it is stress but I know it isn't healthy...

i try to work out every morning. I watch either "The biggest Loser" or "Dancing with the Stars" to motivate me while working out on my elliptical and I actually really look forward to it every day now!!

My biggest obstacle right now is motivation. I am definitely motivated to get healthier, but the motivation to exercise is the hardest thing.

As of today I am bribing myself by allowing myself to watch a movie or dvd AFTER or DURING exercise. Hopefully that will get me off my backside emoticon

Emotional eating is my biggest battle! Even though I've been doing this for a year and a half, I struggle with it from time to time. My jobs get sooo stressful, and I have to look for other ways to handle that other than eating! It's a tough one! One day I will fully overcome it! :)

Last Monday started Tredmill and stationary bike 2-3 times a week and the other days except Sunday working out at a gym! I'm 59 with 8 Grandchildren and it isn,t easy I work hard from 5:45 til 1:45.... Then gym right after work or I would not exercise.... But feel110% better knowing I,m not just sitting and getting bigger and bigger! emoticon

I am a big snacker, mostly after 6pm. I crave sweets, crunchy foods. I have been better, I dont ring the food I like to snack on in the house. But my husband does and I try to avoid it. But sometimes I just have to have chocolate or ice cream. It's like I cant stop myself.

I read everyone's on this whole page and I have to agree with so many of you...
Mine is I'm home alone in this new town... my husband is out of town alot with his job.. I HATE winter and love to walk...worry about money even when I don't have to... didn't get our house we tried to buy... and I have Vertigo which is HE** ... so I have gained 3 pounds back...if I get up to do anything, I get dizzy and have to lay down, which has made my eating habits horible... sorry for all this but there is more than one and I'm feeling it.. maybe if spring sprung.. it would change my blues to happier thoughts and ambitions!!!..

Try adding a slice of cucumber to your water. You will be surprised by the taste, I start craving it that way and more often than not will end up drinking 12 glasses of water. I also add lemon on occasion. Another thing I did was I got a 32oz. water bottle and tell myself I can drink two of these. I hope this helps emoticon .

try to cut back on things that are not supposed to be in your diet . if you want something then by all means have a small serving of that "thing "rather then eating everything else and then eating the whole pie .
