My favourite is 200g low-fat plain yogurt, 55g dry-pressed cottage cheese (11 g protein!!), 0.25 cup oats, and some sort of fruit mixed in.

I've fallen back on the protein bars around this time of day, too. I try to avoid it, but I find they also help to fix the chocolate craving I get sometimes in the afternoons.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

I really like your's NancyAnne. I am finding that I am reaching for protein bars and shakes or nuts and I would like to steer away from those and eat more whole foods.

This is my hungriest time of day. I usually do something like a second mini-lunch: A small salad with turkey and whole-grain crackers, or a couple of slices of double-fiber bread with plenty of meat and veggies between them, or a bowl of veggie and meat soup, emphasis on meat.

what about something like English cucumber slices with hummus, or plain Greek yogurt with blueberries or strawberries?

I am struggling to fill the time between lunch and dinner with foods that are appropriate, filling, but also will allow me room to still want to eat dinner.

This is my hardest time of the day. I like to get cardio in right when I get home from work (3:30-4:15), eat, then play with my son, and then eat dinner (around 2.5-3 hours later).

Any suggestions? Thank you!!
