I planned a surprise birthday party for hubby yesterday (his 60th birthday is tomorrow 1/15). I think I did pretty good ... My niece and her 2 kids were there, my son, his wife and their daughter, my daughter and her boyfriend, my daughter's son (my grandson lives with us - he's 20), our 2 friends (hubby has been friends with Harold for over 30 years), his sister (they just started talking again last November - took 20+ yrs for that to happen), hubby daughter and her husband and hubby's son, wife and their 3 kids. Only one who couldn't come was my son, his wife and their 2 girls (the girls were sick)

Yep we had a houseful - I planned a brunch .... patting myself on the back

Kitchen is the last room to finish up. It's painted but we're putting in a new floor (the linoleum that is there has to be from when the house was built in 1961 !! Once that is in the all new appliances need to be installed. Dishwasher has to be plumbed, as does the refrigerator. Have the above stove microwave but done have the stove/oven unit yet - that's a 40" opening and have been holding off :)

I do have plenty of boxes to be carried from the basement to the upstairs and put away - any takers ?

No, not the name "Mia" .. the term Missing In Action. That has been me lately - since purchasing the other house over a month ago it's been a comedy act to get that one ready to be lived in and trying to get this one packed up, moved over THEN unpack

Amongst all that I joined Curves ... am I INSANE ??? The lady who DETESTS exercise, who hates to be told what to do (isn't that I did when I signed the contract - someone telling me I have to go 3 times a week to move my body so fast I work up a sweat ? )

I'm still here, still checking in every day ... sorta !!! Wanting to get back to posting more on SP - hopefully that will come soon !!
