You have to write the amounts as a decimal. For example 1/4 = 0.25, 1/3 = 0.33. Took me awhile to figure that one out! There should be a note in the directions on it.

I've been trying to work with one one from SP ... but it doesn't let me lower the count, such as it puts in 1 cup of sugar but I can't find a way to put in 1/3 cup of sugar, or 1/2 cup of vinegar .... I got so frustrated last night - i had to put the pc away before I thew it (HEY would that have been a cardio exercise ??? lol)
