I think the weather is crazy everywhere. It is supposed to stay fairly warm the next few days then get cold again the middle of next week. I am waiting for a freak snow storm like we had last year that left me at home and even closed our office for a couple of days. I just wish Mother Nature would make her mind up. Between this and the stress of the holidays I guess my body just couldnt take it. I used to never get sick when I was active and this is the second time in 6 weeks so it just motivates me more.

The weather has been crazy. If you're feeling better today, don't overdue it. Give it another day or so. Last year I felt like I was coming down with a cold one day, felt better the next plus the temps were in the 50's (in Jan) so I went out for a nice long walk wearing just a hoodie. By the next day, I was majorly sick and it lasted a good week. I felt horrible. Plus the weather had changed back to cold again. Listen to your body. You'll know when it's time to get those workouts in! Hope you feel back to normal really soon!

Feeling tons better today. Thank goodness!!! Still a stuffy nose but nothing a kleenex can't take care of. I think its just really this stinking weather that keeps going from warm to cold and wont make its mind up.

Misty - some great suggestions below. I would add if you don't feel well enough to do anything at all, it may be more serious than a cold (perhaps an infection) and I would suggest seeing a doctor.

Hi, One hot momma - It's Linda and I can offer a few suggestions. First use the old saying about chicken noodle soup. It really works. Second for the earache(next time) use a heating pad or a warm cloth and put it to your ear. This soothes the inflammation. And lastly do some simple walking around the house, or sit and do some chair exercises. Or use a strap while sitting in the chair. Hope these help you and you can get back on your feet. Take care and Good Luck.

I am fighting a dang cold that just wont go away. I had a horrible earache over the weekend but that seems better but I just dont have any energy. Do you guys push through, take a break or somewhere in between? I really want to get back to working out but dont want to over do it.
