1 banana
1/2 cup fat-free Greek yogurt
1/2 cup skim milk
1 tsp honey

Makes 2 generous servings, and it is absolutely delicious.

The protein powder is certainly not a requirement, many people use milk, yogurt etc. emoticon

To make a smoothie do you have to have protein powder? Or is it just something that people add in? I have never made a smoothie but I would love to try one. So keep the recipes coming!

low fat/non fat yogurt sweetened with splenda if needed
serving of ovaltine
strawberries
thin out with milk to desired consistency
(for extra yumminess put in some chocolate syrup!)

My daughter loves this and it has a chocolatey-strawberry flavor plus the nutrition from ovaltine or a like chocolate flavored nutrition powder.

For the coffee freaks out there...
I use soy protein powder, 1 cup of cooled/yesterdays coffee, one packet of Taster's choice instant coffee, and sugar free vanilla and hazelnut flavoring. Blend it up in the Magic Bullet and chill. Yumm caffine and protein!

I also use soy protein powder, 1 cup of water and 1/2 cup of frozen/thawed bluberries (or fruit of choice. Again blend in the Magic bullet!

My favorite is a banana, some frozen berries (whatever I have on hand) some h2o and peanut butter. I don't really like milk, so I always use banana for creaminess over milk.

skim milk (can add fat free/low fat yogurt for thickness)
1-2 tbs natural peanut butter
banana
Blend in processer, blend with ice cubes to make bit thicker without extra calories.

I am falling in love with smoothies. I am looking for recipes. I have protein powder, skim milk, organic FF yogurt, frozen blueberries/strawberries/peaches, Odwalla green Superfood, carrot juice, and skim milk...my fave so far is 1 C blueberries, 1/2 C skim milk, 2 oz Superfood, 2 oz carrot juice, and 1 scoop protein powder.

I am looking for pretty low cal, I see the calories from juice and/or fruit can add up. But oh, I love those frozen blueberries. I think I may turn into one. Anyone have a favorite to share?
