went on a 5.something mile hike today with my dad. We started doing a hike once a month three months ago and it's been great. I love the time together. When i was growing up my dad was always doing triathlons and marathons. He entered me in all the kid races until i could do the adult ones. He was my trainer. He doesn't run races anymore due to some health issues, and i obviously stopped doing them. But some of the best times i ever had with him was out runing so it's really cool to be doing something like that now. For a few years our relationship was strained, why i have no idea nothing really happened but it was like we just couldn't find anything to talk about. So i'm really glad that we are making time for each other now.

Great job Jamie!!! Keep the momentum going! Abagail, I hear ya! I didn't do very well last week with trying to catch up on sleep from DH and Lillian being sick. I hope to accomplish some good things this week though...and pray that everyone stays healthy!

I ran on the treadmill at lunch time and am hoping to do Turbo Fire tonight.

didn't get to the gym at all this week. combination of issues with sleep and kids. moved them to the same room and that kept me up much later at night and gave me a ton of extra stuff to orgnaize, put away, etc. this week should be better but dr. apt on tuesday is already going to cancel that gym visit out.

Way to go Abigail on getting in those workouts!

We've known since around September that a move was in the works so we've been ferrying back stuff with anyone who came down and took 6 bags at Christmas as well so it isn't just 6 bags in all. We are going to have to get a bunch of new stuff but shipping from down there was crazy so we decided that it wasn't worth it. We've sold almost everything so we have made some money off of it all.

We are now officially back in the US! It feels so weird and I'm pretty emotional about it right now. Tomorrow I have to make sure to establish good healthy habits and start the day with a run!

Great job girls!! I didn't do anything on my lunch break today because I had to pick up Lil at school. She is sick...so hopefully it'll be an extra late night tonight on the treadmill. :)

Katie - how many suitcases have you packed? I can't imagine having to choose what things to take with me that would be able to fit in a suitcase. Good for you!

Hey Jules, next time you think binge..think treadmill...or think..water....wait...if you still feel that way...go do something else..reprogram your thinking. We've had to do that in our house...stress=alcohol...uh no. Its hard to unravel a behavior that is so ingrained to our thought patterns. They say all you need to do is watch your food and exercise, well its not only that but habits are hard to break. You can recognize your triggers and thats good! Putting in a plan is next when you do recognize xoxooxo Keep chin up and keep on moving !*HUGS*

I havent exercised this week, I had a job interview that was I gearing up for yesterday...so I am hoping tonight is the night I can do Jillian or P90x again...been eating perfectly though and at least that's saying something! LOL

The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself. All the rest is a piece of cake ; )

Great job on the run! I ended up having a binge session yesterday and I know it was caused by stress. Lillian has had a bad cough and elevated temp the past couple of days. I was stressed because it is really hard for me to take time off of work, so the unknown of "Will she be well enough to go to school tomorrow...will she be up all night tonight...is this bronchitis...blah, blah, blah" was enough for me to go running to the pantry. I hate that. At least I can recognize what triggered it. I just should've gone to bed. I plan on getting in more treadmill time tonight...and eating less.

Yay! So happy to hear everyone is revved up and ready to go! I squeeze in 1.5 miles on the treadmill on my lunch break and will do more tonight. At least you've tried to make an effort to get to the gym Abby, you certainly have your hands full. Now its back to better planning and making it happen ; )
(Just saw your posting..GREAT JOB!!)

Awesome job on the running girls, keep it up!

I was informed last night that this is the week that we make it happen lol...so no alcohol during the week, exercise and eating healthy...we are going to DVR our shows during the week that we like to drink to and watch them on the weekend. No need to go overboard with the drinking on the weekends but when we were really good during the week with some leniency on the weekends, we did awesome and lost a lot of weight...alcohol adds up even with diet coke....so that's what works for us. Total restriction does not do it for me.

Plan plan plan everything. I didn't make my lunch last night and if I hadn't had the extra time before I left for work this morning I wouldnt have this awesome chef's salad that is waiting for me to eat and crunchy carrots to get me through the 3pm boredom feed time...I need to keep on target with making them ready the night before. I have enough to worry about in the morning let alone that, which I still want to get working out in the AM soon.

I have to work until 6pm tonight, DH is going to help me when I get home and put the little guy down for me and I'll go do my Jillian for 30 mins then we'll eat dinner. He is pre-preparing tons of chicken so we can use "whenever"....I feel good..this is good.

****20 pounds to lose by June 26th folks! Its on like Donkey Kong!****

i agree- its much easier to eat healthy (for me) when i am not at home. i would pack lunch and snack and that was all i could have till dinner. i even prepped my breakfasts ahead of time so i could grab it in morning. just made things more structured. now, being home all day and being in kitchen like 75% of my day, feeding kids and cooking all the time, it makes it harder for me to resist my hunger (or boredom) since food is right there.

for me- getting back to gym after having like 3 weeks off :( i thouight i would go last week but all the classes were early and i was having hard time getting us all up and ready in time. earlier bed times for me this week and better planning to be i make it there when i should!

I am hopeful that getting out of the house will help me get away from the constant eating just because it is there.

Great job getting in your C25K! Yesterday I did a run all by myself. I've had a running buddy for so long now that it was really weird doing it alone. When we move back though I won't have my running buddy. I went so much slower and had to do a lot more motivating to try to keep going! This morning I met up with my buddy and did a 4 mile run which was much nicer! :)

Katie, if you get a job where you have to commute, it might help you make more conscious decisions. When I had to go into the office I would pack my lunch each day and only pack super healthy food. I lost a lot of weight that way. Now that I work from home I struggle a lot too.

I did the C25K training again today.

Yay for getting in your workout yesterday and having a plan in place for today!

I did a 3 mile walk with a friend and Arianna. I'm really struggling with eating right now though and need to really get that on track. Tracking all my food has helped me become more aware (like it always does!) so now I can see where I need to make changes!

Yeah it can be downright depressing...I try not to let it get to me...I just keep moving forward and try to come up with different ideas on how to do things.

I havent implemented my exercise in the AM just yet..but I have been getting up early so I can get used to it first and get into a routine. I want this to work. I have a beach wedding come June in Florida that I need to drop these 20 pounds for if you know what I'm saying!

So last night I was able to get home somewhat early and was able to do Jillian's Shred, thank god for DH watching the little one for 30 minutes..felt awesome..my legs were crying this morning...dang you squats with weights!! and tonight I am going out dancing with the girls and plan on burning some serious calories doing that..I cant wait!! I need a night out like that.

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!

I have to get my workouts down in the morning. I have no motivation the longer the day goes! I do find that once you get the routine down and follow it every day (including weekends) it gets easier to do the early mornings. I'm worried about keeping the routine when we return to the US because I'll be back at a regular job instead of working remotely! I can't imagine how hard it would be to balance it all, Natalie!

Before I had Lillian, and even when I was pregnant, I would wake up around 5:00 or 5:30 a.m. and get a good workout in. It really set a good tone for the rest of the day! I ate better, had more energy, etc. Well, now I am the point where I can't drag my butt out of bed in the morning because I have not been on a good sleeping schedule in 2 years. You totally have to retrain your body. Back when I was getting up that early, I would usually be in bed by 8:30 or 9:00 p.m. Now I stay up until 10:30 or 11:00 and never know what the night holds.

Great job ladies...ya'll on FIRE!

I need to revamp my plan...working late hours has me totally beat by the time I get home, then I want to spend time with Joe and its just not fair to me rushing around and not fair to Joe for not having mama time and all of that.

SO I am going to try for the first time in my life to get my workout in the morning...I am not a morning person and I value my sleep above all ahhahah BUT I value looking good and losing 20 pounds and keeping it off...so sacrifices I guess. If I can get 30 minutes every morning with Jillian or whatever, it'll be done and no matter how late I get home, it'll still be done. If I can get in extra time in the evening to do it great, but I think its going to have to be mornings for me.

Working 40 hours a week + squeezing in 5 hours mandatory overtime + 30 mins to drive to work in the AM and 30 minutes to drive home..I'm spending 10 hours on time not spent at home...its seriously exhausting.

When do you work out?

The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself. All the rest is a piece of cake ; )

Wow, ladies! Great job. I haven't done anything yet, but gave myself a lecture, so will definitely be working out tonight. Keep it up, and I think walking on an incline is a great idea Jamie. I ran a half marathon a few years ago and kind of slacked on training toward the end, but was walking the golf course with my hubby several times a week and there were a lot of hills. It improved my endurance so much, and was the best half I ever ran.

Awesome job getting in some treadmill time!

I slept in this morning so the 6 mile run I had planned was scrapped but I did get out and walk Arianna to the playground.

did two miles today on my tread mill some running but mostly walking at a 10 point incline which is all my treadmill will go up to. I just found out that i'll be able to do a spartan race for free this year so i'm planing on doing the one that's closest to me. it's not until august but the course is on a ski slop so i plan on doing a lot of training on hills this year. Maybe a slower pace with and incline will actually work out better for me in the long run since i always seem to hurt myself running.

Yes, I made it. A pre-diabetic drink in a cup. You mix lemonade, O.J, Green tea, water, sugar, and brandy in a bowl and freeze it. Then after you scoop it into a cup, you add lemon lime soda. Drink up and get drunk. Then say a bunch of stuff and wonder if you are annoying your neighbors...

I was hoping to wake up with a renewed sense of motivation in the new year, but I did not. I think I'm still hung over. Will be starting tomorrow with the C25K and some Spark videos.

OH NO!! The house of the sick! I hope you all get better soon! : (

Eating has been good because Monday night was not...lol...I ate real good yesterday on my recoop day, had a bagel for breakfast with a nice chef's salad at lunch and shrimp scampi for din din. I'm still bloated though, I can feel it...I gotta get my water in today to keep flushing this out. I certainly don't bounce back as fast as I used to!! My goodness.

Joe does better at my parents then he does at my in-laws. My parents have a 2 story house so all the noise they make is pretty much buffered when he is in the spare room sleeping. They can still fit him into a pack n play..which is NOT going to last very long soon...I'm surprised he hasnt put a leg over the side yet.

We did get an email from one of our neighbors who asked us if we'd like to take her sons old toddler car bed that he doesnt use anymore. Since we have the toddler rail for Joe's crib, I figured the car bed can go to my parents. My in-laws house is a 1 story used to be a summer beach house. EVERYTHING is heard and unfortunately the spare room is right off the kitchen...he doesn't sleep very well there which bothers me so most often he goes to my parents to stay overnight. The only thing I dont like at my parents house is the fact that my father has a booming voice and heavy lead feet..he stomps up and down wooden stairs like nobody's business...its ridiculous. Do you really need to wear shoes going up and down the stairs? LOL...our house is so quiet at night and we have carpeted stairs too so Joe is just not used to it. He definitely doesnt do well sleeping at someone else's house like if a friend is having a party..forget it..so frustrating...so we often leave him at home or he stays at my parents and 1/2 the time we dont go anywhere cuz we have to find a babysitter.

I wish we were louder when he was a baby so he was more used to noises but with just the two of us....it just happened to end up that way...

I'm glad you had a great time. DH watched the game while sitting in front of the TV shivering with his coat on. He is sick now too! Lillian has had a mild fever, but I think (and hope) that it could be due to teething. I'm still very stuffed up. Eating and exercise have not been very good this week.

Hopefully Houston got the wake up call they needed!

How does Joe do at your parents house overnight? Do they have a crib there for him?

We had a fantastic time...while we were waiting for our tickets from DH's cousin...it rained off and on for like hours, totally thinking we were gonna have a wet game....but by the time we went to walk up to the stadium, enjoyed the game and walked back, there was not 1 drop.

At least we were ready though, appropriately clothed w/ponchos and warm socks so we didnt get wet. The game was awesome!!!!! 42 to 14..are you kidding?! Patriots cleaned up something fierce against Houston! emoticon

But I'm hating the short amount of sleep, swollen feet and hands and general tiredness, thank god Joe stayed overnight at my rents....I forgot how much late night games affect me and I really didn't drink THAT much, just tiredness gets me down. Sure not doing one of those for awhile lol...I'll stick to my 1pm and 4pm games. I gotta rinse myself out with some water today. Tailgating food and alcohol...yee haw. xooxox

OH NO!! I hope I didn't get you sick! hahah ; )

Weekends are NOT my strength. Not sure how to fix that. Like I mentioned in one my other posts, I do so much during the week to get in my work, overtime, exercise, etc that my chores get left behind so the weekends I'm stuck catching up on laundry, putting things away, cleaning up the house and organizing and spending time with the little one that I completely disregard any concept of getting in exercise. Then when he goes down for his nap, I take one too cuz working 9 hours a day x 5 is wicked tiring.

Tonight is no exercise cuz we are going to the Patriots game...yeaaaaah in the pouring rain..but its free and that's for me! lol I'll just bundle up something good....hopefully I can come up with a plan this week to do it to it!

Oh, I feel so bad for you Natalie! I hope it is not a serious illness. The influenza virus is in full force this season. I know getting the flu shot is controversial, but I got mine just because I can't afford to be off of work. Don't beat yourself up for not getting a workout in. Your evening sounded very fun and relaxing. There is nothing to regret about that. I was planning on doing a Supreme90 DVD but was so exhausted, so I walked on the treadmill instead. I walked about 4 miles but now my hips are crazy sore. I need to foam roll. I got my steps while shopping today and did an S90 arms video. Rest up and don't try to push it.

UGH I really really tried to muster the strength last night and I just couldnt do it...I was tired..I've been working 9 hour days and I didn't get home until 620pm....and I was just exhausted. I was even supposed to go to this 31 bag/purse party in the neighborhood but there was just no way. So instead of working out, we finally put up lights and decorations on the tree which has been sitting on our living room since Saturday when we got it. I know by doing this, it was healthy for me to spend time with the baby and hand him ornaments to put on the tree and have DH get the lights all up. I needed a "break" and now our tree is complete. But I didnt get my exercise in.

Now I woke up this morning with a sore shroat and the only one to describe it is a "heavy" head...kinda like when I turn my head...it just dont feel right...like a mini head cold? UGH. this sucketh!

I am going to do my best to suck it up tonight and at least do JIllian for 30 mins...I dont want sickies to derail me...I'm doing soo good! I don't want to fail !

I bet you could find some local hoopers near you that make them so you don't have to pay for shipping. I know there are a few groups in RI and NE...there's a TON of youtube videos of ppl hooping..the tricks they are do are RIDONKULOUS!..One girl had about 50 hoops around her body ALL going at the same time..yeah..diesel. No wonder she was in shape!

Yes, I think it will be okay because at least I am admitting that I am having a hard week, instead of not even signing on to the website and being in denial like I used to. I will still workout today, do the best I can in the eating and drinking water dept for the rest of the day and get some good sleep tonight. Tomorrow will be a better day.

I just emailed my DH and told him I want a hula hoop for Christmas. Heehee. I sent him the link that you provided Natalie. He's going to think I'm cray-cray. :)

Aw honey, I wish I had known you were having a rough time..reach out anytime!! Or I'll just bug you everyday instead : )

Don't forget....they all say that your weight can vary depending on how much sodium you intake and how much water you may be retaining or how late you've eaten..its all related. TOTALLY don't be ashamed of yourself, you aren't doing anything wrong. I personally have never had the "formula" work me that they advise us of....it'll be 3 weeks until my body is like.."OH so you want me to lose weight"...so please don't stress, you probably have the same issue I do..just keep working out, keep drinking your water and eventually it'll all be right as rain..! At least its Friday tomorrow! : ) *SUPER BIG HUGS*

my exercise has sucked this week but i did do two miles yesterday. lucky i have been staying on track with food and making more meals ect. so maybe net week i'll be able to put it all together.

You guys are doing really well!!
Jewls don't get discourage it's far too soon for that kind of thinking.

I too have a weighted hoop. I'm really bad it it but i was told the the heavier ones are actually easier to learn on so i got one. i went to a concert once and there was this girl that was hooping the whole time. It was amazing and I've always wanted to be able to just hoop for one song. A lot of people do it for exercise i believe there is a team for it in here too. it's not that great of a work out for me since i'm so bad at it. There was this 3 year old at Marley's gymnastics that could do it better then most adults, I have no idea how her parents showed her how to do that at such a small age. it was neat.

Okay, the past two days have not gone very well. I think I got discouraged when I hopped on the scale and it went up a pound and I thought "WTH, I have been tracking my calories and wearing my BodyBugg and having about a 300 calorie deficit each day, so how is this possible?" Then I had a pity party. My water intake has really increased, but have not been able to stick to 1 gallon each day. Work-outs are still going strong, I just need to eat less. I'm not really eating anything too bad, but everything just adds up quickly. I'm burning around 2000 a day so that means I need to be consuming about 1500 each day. I'm not giving up, but I'm a bit ashamed of myself...but also proud that I haven't gone off the deep end which I would have done in the past.

Natalie, I think it is so cool that you used to be eccentric with your activities. I really hope Lily does that. I didn't really do any activities when I was younger because I was the 4th child and my parents were tired and stressed by the time I came along. I want Lil to do what she wants, but I would be super excited if she marched to the beat of her own drum and did things that are not main stream. Hula hooping sounds fun, but for some reason I really stink at it...but now I want to buy a hula hoop. :) Keep it up!!!

FOUR times a day!! HOLY MOLY!! LOL you are gonna float your drinking so much H20 LOL

Hubby has been working w/his cousin the past couple of days doing some intense manual labor so he definitely wasn't into working out with me last night, which was fine, I figured that was going to be the case. But if we were to do Cardio X tonight together, I didn't want to do it 2 nights in a row. So I was thinking of what else would be fun to do that would take 30 mins by myself. Then I looked to the corner of our room that we workout in and I've completely forgotton about my hoop. YES a real big hula hoop made out of PVC that weighs like 3-5 pounds and is 40 inches around.

Before I got married, before I pregnant and when I was younger, I used to be quite the eccentric with activities, I used to bellydance, hula hoop and do burlesque. Yup. You read that right. I was good at all of them too. Well this hula hoop has been sitting in this room for yeaaaaaaaaaars. According to internet searches, 10 mins of consistent hula hooping (not the chinsy kid ones) burns off 110 cals and does wonders for your hips and waist. So I turned on youtube and cranked my dance/house/techno music that I like to listen to when I go running and I hooped 15 mins one way with it and 15 mins the other way and wouldn't you know....I was warm, sweaty and my abs felt awesome! I think I may have found a new workout on Wed nights and this is way better than any crunches I would be doing and way more fun!

If my hoop starts getting too easy, I may have to make myself a heavier one or buy one!...the amount of pounds I could lose from a heavier hoop! YEAAAAAAH! If you care to check them out, you can make your own, here are some guidelines : )

Tuesday: Jillian Shred-DONE!!

I ran 2 miles on the treadmill, walked a bit, and did an S90 video. I know what you mean about *yawn*. I'm glad that you were able to have some time to get in a workout with your hubby and recharge your batteries while you parents watched Joe.

Jamie - that stinks about your scale. I guess if you don't get a new one for Christmas, most of them will be on sale after the new year.

Today is my day off from S90, so I plan to do treadmill time while I watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer DVD's. I think this is my 4th or 5th time watching the series all the way from the beginning. That show never gets old!

Natalie - I have a 32 oz big cup that I got in the hospital after I gave birth. I use that and fill it up 4 times a day...which reminds me. I need to fill that thing up right now and get started. The day is a wastin'!

*yawns* Uncle Tony kicked my @$$ last night. DH and I both actually stopped at the 45 minute mark we were so just DONE. I guess its better to know your limits than hurt yourself and that's what we did. But we got it in and Plyo X ran me over like a train and the shower afterwards never felt better! Great wake up call to keep at it so we aren't hurting so much, consistency is KEY!

Tonight, doing Jillian to switch it up a bit...I love her motivation..she definitely wakes you up to keep on going : )

Thanks! Great job yourself on your workout streak! I look forward to changing my attitudes on the weekends regarding working out...its all a step in the right direction.

Are you using a big jug with lines so you can see how much you've drank or are you literally just using a gallon jug? I'm routing for you!!!

Keep pushing forward! : )

I'm glad you are still going strong, girlie! Way to go with avoiding overdoing it at the wine tasting and it is amazing that you didn't have a headache the next day.

I am still continuing my work-out streak, although I know what you mean about it being very hard to do over the weekend. I kept putting it off yesterday, and waited until the last minute last night. Today I begin my attempt to drink one gallon of water a day. This used to be so easy for me to do, but is sooo hard now. I don't know why. However, I feel so much better when I am fully hydrated. Yesterday, Lil and I went to brunch with Santa with my brother's family. It was at a Country Club, so the food was amazing and plentiful. I REALLY overdid it with dessert and do have some remorse, but will pick myself up and trudge on. Lesson learned...

Have a great week everyone!

OKAY so this past weekend was my old lazyness kicking in, wine tasting or not. I'll admit I worked out pretty awesome last week except for my sickly little one night but I should be able to at least get in a workout on Friday or Saturday. It is SO easy to just say..."forget it, it's the weekend"..I'm going to do my best to change that thinking around. There's just so much to be done on the weekend around the house with chores, laundry, cleaning..when you finally sit down you just don't want to move.

So last week's results:

Monday: Plyo X-Done!
Tuesday: Cardio X-Done!
Wednesday: Sick Little one-Mommy Time
Thursday:S90 Total Body
Friday: None-Slacker!
Saturday: Housework
Sunday: Rested as planned

I would say 90% of this past week I got in 8 cups a day of water..thank you crystal light lemonade and my calories were mostly in range. Even the day of the wine tasting, I was so busy with housework and then bringing Joe down to my parents to babysit and back, I didn't have time to snack and sit around. When we got to the wine tasting, we hadn't had any dinner and I had a very small lunch. Munched on some appetizers that were brought and I was SUPER good with these ridiculous dark chocolate ghiradelli brownies they had later in the night. Cut 1 brownie in FOUR pieces and took only ONE piece and walked away. Yup. Go me. Little victories my friends even slightly inebriated! I was even particular about certain wines, if I didn't like them after my sip, I dumped them out. Why drink it if its gross? After we tasted all of them, I went back and took full glasses of the ones I did like..I'd say I probably had about 3 full glasses altogether. Not going to even track it...but I had no massive headache the next day. I honestly attribute that to the 8 cups of water I had before it started.

What do I want to do this week? My Jillian videos came in, those will come in handy when I need a short kick my @$$ workout this week to mix in with the S90's : ) I love the way she talks you through it like Uncle Tony does in P90x I think that is what is missing in the S90's...sometimes you just need someone to tell you that you aren't going to die...just suck it up and do it.

Here's to this week!!! Come on ladies, its December and we got a heads up on the holidays...lets keep pushing!!!!!

Monday: Plyo P90X
Tuesday: Jillian Shred
Wednesday: Cardio P90X
Thursday: Jillian Shred
Friday: S90 or Kenpo X
Saturday: Yoga P90X
Sunday: S90-Cardio Challenge

(wow that was long..sorry! HAHAH)

Awesome job, girls! That is great that y'all got work-outs in. Jamie, good job with the cooking. I did an S90 arm workout yesterday and did the Cardio Challenge workout today. It's Friday night and I'm so flippin' tired that I can barely keep my eyes open. A bittersweet feeling. :) My diet has not been as I'd hoped this week, so I wonder if I will just maintain my weight. We shall see on Sunday. Next week I am going to attempt to begin a streak of drinking a gallon of water each day.

Natalie, I know what you mean about that blonde chick on the S90 video and you will also notice that she will adjust her too-tight workout shorts to be on her lower hips. This is a work-out video people!!!! There is no need to be sexually suggestive! LOL.

It does go super fast, I probably don't get all of the reps in, but at this point, my muscles are usually jelly by the end of each set anyway.

HAPPY FRIDAY!

S90 last night, total body workout...first video I did..not bad, seems almost rushed but now I get why they do that. I like they at least show you what they plan on doing next so you can either catch a breather or drink your water. I think I'll have to warm up to this guy after knowing P90X so well. Uncle Tony just BRINGS IT and can be rather silly which this guy is so serious LOL..and what is up with the blondie...don't ya just want to scream when they show her in plank position with her fake boobs hahhaah but man does she have some abs that I know she worked for..talk about striving for something.

I gotta real challenge with the Wine Tasting Saturday night...I gotta try and get in a workout tonight and Saturday morning and I had planned on resting on Sunday anyways. I am doing my best not to try and come down with Joe's cold he has..I can feel it already trying to creep in me, so I am drinking my water, taking my vitamins and getting in my workouts....I'll see how long I can make it! xooxoxo

so all i did for exercise is run about 50 circles around my house with Marley. I live in a wicked old house and there's an chimney in the middle of our house so it's great for her to run loops in for some reason she thought it was soooo funny today. I did cook 3 meals which is a huge success. as i've been trying/wanting to cook more. tomorrow i'll run on my treadmill.

I like that thinking Jules! baby steps right? we all have our strengths and weaknesses...and last night was one of mine. I didn't workout last night, I needed to perform mommy duty. Joe has got some weird throat thing going on where he sounds like a 90 yr ole smoker and a fever and he wanted his mommy. So by the time I picked him up from daycare, got him home, got him some dinner and put him to bed, I was exhausted. So I told myself, its okay to take a rest, just get back on the saddle Thursday night and I will. I just hope the feverish feeling I am getting today here at work goes away. I think I'll take some Motrin and drink lots of water or something. I don't want to catch whatever he has and I want to work out and I love that feeling!! I'll report back later my success! : ) xoxooxo

Great job Jamie. I think your idea of getting the exercise part down and then start tracking is a good idea...as my eating has not been very good the past two days. :( I think if I break it down in sections and not try to conquer all of my demons at once, then I'll have a higher chance of success.

Last night I did an S90 video and walked on the treadmill. Since I started exercising 4 days ago, I have been exhausted when I go to bed. It's awesome! I plan to do an S90 video tonight and get some steps in.

Great job Jamie!!!

Yeah I am sure once the routine of you exercising gets going and you stick to your guns, he'll admit defeat ; ) and let you do what you gotta do cuz he knows how important it is to you and how much you need it. Otherwise...life could become very miserable if somebody doesn't get their way! hahahaha just kidding! It's all about compromise...

Make sure you stretch stretch Jamie!! and water water water...You don't want to cut short your momentum because you worked too hard and didn't warm up and cooldown. Lets be good to our bodies, we want to succeed and go into the New Year with our resolution to commit already in the works! : )

so yesterday I did a mini core work out and today I ran/walked 25 min

it's been such a long time since i ran that my calf's were all balled up by the end of it. it's going to take some time to get back to being able to run 28min straight which was the longest I've been able to run ever. i really would like to reach the 30 min goal i set a long time ago.

you guys are doing great!!

I'm not tracking yet either. I'm spending the first two weeks just trying not to eat tottal crap then once that is over i'll start tracking.

i'm having less of a guilt problem this time around and more of a husband problem lol.
he's having to pick up the slack so that i can get a work out in and hes acting pissy about it 'cus that cuts into his very limited free time. It's frustrating not having the support. it's hard enough for me to get my butt going without having to fight with him to help out more. I'm sure it will change once it's more routine but it's a rocky start so far.

Thanks chickie!!

I think its awesome that you are getting in exercise too, we are in this together! Don't worry about the tracking for now..as long as you find the time to get your body moving..that's key. Once you get that into the routine, then tracking will be a piece of cake.

I had to let go of the guilt of not spending time with my son..before I would come home, put on my lounge clothes, sit with him and play before he went to bed, then after I put him down and read him a story, I'm all tired out..so I would go downstairs, snack more and eat dinner and do nothing and sit around

Now I come home from work, change into my workout clothes, go right to the workout, hopefully finish before he goes to bed and rock him and put him to bed. Or he comes in with us and "works out" until he gets tired and then DH puts him down and I finish up. Or when I come home, I spend time with him, then right before bed, DH puts him down and I go workout. Or I come home, spend time with the little guy, put him down for bed, go downstairs and get in a 30 min workout. I know I need to do this for me and for Joe, so I suck it up and keep at it. Sometimes I tell myself I am being selfish...but am I really? In the long run, I need to be fit so I can be active with my little one as much as I can. There has to be some way to work it out, otherwise, its just way easier to say "forget it" and for now this is what works and you gotta work on it together if you can...and NO I am not a morning person..there is no "5am workout" for me and never will be..hahahah

xooxoxox

Great job Natalie! You are totally on fire this week! I ran/walked on the treadmill yesterday, about 3-4 miles. I haven't been tracking my calories yet, and am still probably eating too much, but I don't think I am out of control. We'll see what the scale says on Sunday. Tonight I plan to do S90 Tabata Inferno which is high intesity cardio.

I forgot about the S90 videos and did my Cardio X last night instead cuz it was shorter at about 45 minutes...I need to start using the S90's...DH was supposed to go to his friends house to do MMA training and I didnt realize what time it was. Unfortunately it was too late for him to go and I need to remember that Tuesday nights are HIS days, he was wonderful enough to let me finish my workout and take a shower and cook dinner..so yeah I can suck it up and do something when the baby goes down or do the S90 before he leaves on Tuesdays...he deserves to stay motivated too

I think tonight I'll focus on either a core workout or do the shoulders and back section, my legs are getting sore and I dont' want to do any damage and cut my momentum short.

Monday: Plyo X-Done!
Tuesday: Cardio X-Done!
Wednesday: Shoulders and Back? or Core?
Thursday:
Friday:
Saturday:

Water intake is going great and calories aren't too bad, not totally restricting but not being too restrictful if that makes any sense but staying within range...I like what I got going on ..YAY!

HOW is everyone else doing?? xoxoox

Nice job Jules...yay for consistency!!!!

I did Plyo X last night for almost an hour, I'd say 45 mins total...whoa mama the legs were all jelly afterwards...I had to go down my stairs last night afterwards and I had to hold onto that darn rail LOL but this morning not so bad. Slept like a baby and woke up bright and early...who knew!? : )

I think Yoga X will be perfect tonight to stretch out my quads and my calves from last night's Plyo : ) xoxooxo

I wanted to me more active outside over the weekend and try to get a run in but it was extremely windy out and I am a total wimp when it comes to the cold outside, even with UnderArmour on. Though driving into work this morning there was frost on the grass, frost on the car and a woman was running in 25 degree morning weather...I was in awe and kinda embarrassed I didn't want to go out in 45 degree weather over the weekend hahah..oh well!

I also had to work 4 hours overtime on Saturday so I wasn't as active as I would haved liked this weekend, I just need to be more focused on finding the time and sticking to it....even when I want to make the excuses..

The "kinda" plan:
(everything is always "you never know"...so here goes...)

Monday: Plyo P90X
Tuesday: Yoga P90X
Wednesday: Cardio P90X!
Thursday: S90?
Friday: Kenpo P90X!
Saturday: Jillian?
Sunday: Day Off

The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself. All the rest is a piece of cake ; )
