Starting out pretty simple. This is only my 2nd day. My first tactic is to go to bed early since my overeating is typically triggered at night. So far that has helped me greatly. 2nd tactic is to start moving, doing what I love... going down to brush the horses and gardening. Doing these tasks and anything else that keeps me happily busy and moving. Drinking more water, and making a list each day to help me keep accountable to what I want and need to do each day. Keeping procrastination away. Oh, and getting in Spark time. That really helps start the day well. Hope I meet some new Spark friends here.

Zumba is fun. I think you will enjoy it.
I put my headphones on, and listen to my media player songs, and dance in one spot. Not the same as going out and dancing, but good enough. I get in a lot of steps dancing.
I did a bit of gardening today. Tomorrow I should get rid of some weeds.

I am here in Mankato, MN and finding that with the food more to my taste it is hard to stick to my fasts. Even today I had a cookie because my niece was baking them and they smelled so good. But I did stop at one. I only did partial fasts on Wednesday and Thursday both to make up for not having a complete fast on Wednesday. I hope to see a change downward on the scale tomorrow. It is hard to job hunt for me, but I will do that too.

I still feel cold on my fasting days even with the house being warmer on hot days outside. It is cooler on cool days outside, but being cool helps me with losing weight. I will be going back to Minnesota soon.

I am still fasting three days each week and losing weight almost as fast as when I was in Metairie.

I am back in San Antonio now and finding the food far more interesting to eat. I have been doing my fasts three days a week, but today I ran into a problem. After fasting all day we went out to eat and I had far too much to eat. So tomorrow I will do a fast all day with no misstakes.

I am still doing my fasting with green tea and not eating over the top on my eating days. The fact that I feel cold most days here at my nieces house may be part of the reason for a loss.

I am doing some walking lately and that seems to be helping me with my weight loss. Fasting works for me too, waking on a fasting day makes for a good combo.

I think that the green tea I am drinking has had a big affect on my weight loss. I am not even hungry on my fasting days with green tea to kill the hunger. I have known about green tea for years but did not like it until my Mother made some and I tried it. Now I steep it at a lower temp so it is not bitter at all.

You have a lot of willpower if you can stick to Johnson's UPDD diet! I tried it and loved the results, but could not stick to it for very long! My best friend continues to do it though, and loves it!

I blogged today on my daily eating routines. It seems to be working for me!

I am on the Alternate Day Diet but I fast on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I am drinking Green tea everyday now too and I think this is making a big difference in my progress.

I'm curious to know what all we natives are doing to lose weight. We are all here on SP, and hopefully tracking our food and using Sparkpeople's other wonderful tools. But are any of you following any specific lifestyle plans to lose weight?
Weight watchers points?
Paleo Diet?
Alternative Day Diet?
Jenny Craig, Nutrisystem?
Medifast?
Adkins?
South Beach?

Or.....???

Let us know what you are currently trying, have tried, and how it's all working for you!!

ME: Basically, eating high protein and low carb. Consuming no more than 1,200 calories a day, and shooting for 90 to 100 grams of protein daily, with equal or less carbohydrate grams, and around 30 grams of fat. I try to eat every 2 to 3 hours, very small amounts so that my blood sugar and insulin output remains stable. It's working! I"m 15 pounds from goal!
