Okay Ladies- we've been a bit scattered, so it's time to regroup. Challenge starts Wednesday. 21 days again, with a check in on our goals every time we check in here on the board. I'm creating a new thread as soon as I finish up here- so let's give this a go!

Sheli- Hope your weekend was lovely! Mine was :)

Nicole- Yikes! Viruses are no good. Hope everything ends up working out and you get all caught up.

As for me, I had a GREAT weekend with the boy :) Now I have a dilima, though. One of Daniel's BFFs, Audrey, needs a roommate, and offered a room for November after I'm done with my tour. I love Audrey to death, and I'd LOVE to be in STL for a while and actually be around Daniel for longer than a couple days at a time, but I don't know how practical it is. I was thinking about going back to KC for a month, and then going over to Brussels to visit the parents for a couple weeks. I've got a job basically waiting for me in KC (the restaurant wants me back), so that's good to go. If I went to STL, I'd need to find a job, and I don't know how to do that for only a month. Needless to say- I've got some thinking to do. Yikes.

That's all for now, I've got some catching up to do myself after a weekend with the boy :)

Happy Monday all!

xoxo

Hi Ladies!
So I'm thinking the next challenge will either start Saturday the 1st or Monday the 3rd. What do you you all think? Let's decide and get it going!

I'm super psyched. We're ending the week in Northern, TN so I'm going to drive up to STL for the weekend to see the boy... ahhh! :)

Other than that- I'm looking forward to this next round. I've been thinking really hard about my goals, and I have a couple ideas that will hopefully kick me into gear for real!

Sheli- I'm sorry about the Thai food :( I always hate it when that happens! Hopefully you'll figure out how to make it the "Right way" soon :)

Chat soon! Bye!

xoxo

Erin - We had a lovely day thanks! We went to the Viking centre, the Minster, and wandered around the city, and saw an owl demonstration which was cool! I was a bit disappointed though, because we went to my favourite Thai restaurant, which I have been dreaming about for months, and they have changed the way they cook my favourite dish :( SO I don't like it any more!! Boooo. Oh well, I'll just have to learn how to cook it myself at home and make it the 'right' way!! :) And you definitely need to visit, I would love to show you around all of the cool places around here.

So, when are we starting our new challenge? I'm getting all fired up!! Will have a little think about what I want my goals to be this time around, and I'll dig out my sewing tape measure so I can track my inches as well as my weight...

Shelli- Hope you enjoyed your day in York! I need to visit soon... for sure. I'll probably be in Brussels again during the Holidays this year... maybe the weather will behave enough for a visit this time around! I'm glad you're having fun doing the Lindy... it can be hard to relax at first, but you'll get it! Remember- even the mistakes burn calories!

I like the idea of measuring and what-not at the beginning and end of the challenge. Let's do that for sure. Measuring, and checking up on our goals in each post. I know that will help keep ME motivated at least!

Let's see... we ended up in a hotel with really rotten internet today- which is annoying. Daniel and I (STL boy) have gotten into the habit of using the video feature on g-chat to "talk" each night. We end up typing more than talking most of the time- since joe doesn't want to hear my conversation after all. It wouldn't be so bad, but the phone service here is wretched too! GRRRR.... oh well, two nights, then perhaps a surprise visit to him on Friday... I'm still working out the details. It would be a lot of driving this weekend (about 11 hours), but I'm thinking it may be worth it. Am I crazy? Very probably.

K- All for now!

Nicole - Good luck with sorting out your hubby's man cave ;) Haha! Craig has a similar room, but unfortunately, we live in a tiny flat!! We are looking forward to moving early next year so we can get a house with a garage to put all his crap in ;) He is a bit of a hoarder... has loads of stuff which will 'come in useful one day' or 'be worth money some day' haha!

Erin - That sounds like a great weekend! I can't wait until I have a proper job and can save up enough to come to America. I've never been, but there is soooo much I want to see!!! Yep, Lindy is AMAZING fun, and it definitely gets my heart rate up! Not so much during the class, as we're taking it slow and learning new moves most of the time, but during the social dancing! I'm not great at that yet though - I worry that I won't know the moves the guys are leading and try to guess what they want me to do instead of just relaxing and letting them fling me around! I'm getting better though, and even when I mess up it's still great fun!

So, I'm back home in Leeds now. Craig has a few days off work, and I think we're going to head into York today for a wander. May as well make the most of having no job to go to...

Wow, I can't believe the challenge has nearly finished already... I did okay... things have started to slip a little towards the end though!! Updating the goal progress when we check in sounds like a good idea Erin. I remember we used to weigh and measure ourselves at the start and end of every challenge too... I may start to do that again, so I can actually see if I'm making any progress or not!!

Xxxx

Shelli- Lindy Hop!!! Too much fun! I'm sure that will be a great way to get some cardio in... that can be really fun and crazy at the same time, I'm jealous :) As for the job situation- keep your head up, you'll find something- it just takes time (which is awful, because I can be impatient too!!!)

Nicole- Thanks. BBQ was good- Joe (the partner) and I shared a meal, so that was good. Yay for tackling the basement! Good luck.

Let's see... as for me, I had an awesome weekend. Joe and I met up with 3 other tour teams in Nashville and it was AMAZING! We had so much fun! Saw the Nashville Parthenon, stumbled upon a arts and crafts fair, and went line dancing! Then last night, I met up with another NTC friend of mine from a previous tour in Dickson, TN. Unfortunately with all of these things put together- I spent Waaaaaay more than I wanted to this weekend. I'm cutting myself off for at least a week and a half. Nothing but food- and no going out to eat! Yikes, that gets expensive quick!

Other than that- our challenge is coming to an end! How did everyone do? I did well with the working out, but the other two goals really need work. What do you want to do for the next challenge? Shall we try another 21 days? If so, let's update our goal progress everytime we check in so we can try and be more accountable. Any other thoughts? Let me know!

Okie dokie- that's all for now, I've got lots of random things to accomplish today, and this is the time to do it! Hope everyone is well! xoxo

Erin - I got a dancersise DVD and 2 Davina DVD's The Power of and 30 Minute Workouts. I'm not thinking much of the dance DVD - it incorporates all kinds of dances like ChaCha and Jive, but before each routine the instructor goes through all of the moves one by one which takes about 10 minutes. It's boring! And then the routine starts and I get confused... I think it's one you can only be good at after you've done it a zillion times and learnt everything off by heart. I'm too impatient for that!! The Davina DVD's are good though, I did the boxercise 30 Minute Workout and it was great! Lots of cardio intervals and punching! :) I enjoyed that one!

Well, not much to report at the moment really... Nothing happening on the job front :( But I'm trying to keep my head up and just keep applying for things.
OH my lindy hop classes started again last week, and I had a great time going dancing! I'm going to be going every week again now the summer break is over so maybe that extra activity will help me drop a few pounds!!

Have a great Monday everyone! xxx

Nicole- Aweseom job at dinner. BBQ got postponed to today... yikes! I think my tour partner and I might share something, so that would be good. We'll see... yikes!

Sheli- Good job being prepared going to your Mum's! I'm sorry it didn't work out as well as you planned, but the fact that you are already thinking ahead like that is a good sign. Yay for new DVDs!!! What did you get? Anything fun? Let me know- I'm ALWAYS looking for new fun DVDs :) I hope your "camping" trip date is a fun one... maybe you can even make s'mores or something like that in the microwave (not too long, the marshmellows will explode!)

As for me... things are going well enough. Our show is not quite as good as it could be yet, but it will get there (I hope). Yuck, it makes me feel like a bad actor, I know that's not the case... but I feel it. I'm trying not to let it get me down... oy.

Well, that's about all for now- have a great rest of the week! xoxo

Hey ladies!
Wow Nicole, all that stuff with your step-daughter sounds stressful :( I'm sorry you have to deal with that!!
Erin, haha! You'll have to tell us when you get to a proper hotel, that poor boy isn't going to cope is he?? How is it going on the road?

So, I've been at my Mum's for the past few days, and it was okay. A bit stressful, bc I made sure I bought a load of healthy food for us to eat... but then my Mum insisted on us eating at my Grandparents most nights, and although I love them, they're not exactly the most health conscious of cooks!! On the bright side though, I was helping to sort through some old stuff and ended up doing quite a bit of walking up and down stairs and heavy lifting! Also, I found some exercise DVD's I'd forgotten about - I just did one now and had quite a bit of fun, even though it tired me out a lot!!

Still no news on the job front, I'm trying not to let it get me down, but it's hard... Especially seeing as we are rapidly running out of money!! Gah!

Hope you're all having a good week, I'm off to eat my dinner - the boy has cooked up some salmon and leeks, and it smells GOOD! (Ps, Erin, we've sort of taken your advice, and we're putting up the airbed and 'camping' in the living room later this week! We'd camp in the garden... but we don't have one, Doh! Should be fun!)

Erin- dinner was good. i forgot that i dont eat like a fatty anymore, its kinda weird. like i used to eat and eat and now that ive changed meds i seriously cant eat. which is a good and bad thing. like i got a poorboy. so it came w a small salad- yum! and then a sandwich and fires. i ate 1/3 of the sandwich and about 10 fries and i was ready to explode. old, fat nicole woulda ate half the sandwich and all the fries. that sandwich was 3 meals for me! so crazy how different it is. and its not like i even ate lunch. literally i ate a plum at noon and dinner at 8. if i wasnt getting skinnier id be sad i cant eat so much bc i lobve food, but not as much as i like not being fat! geez he is spoiled. that sounds like a darn good breakfast to me. how was the bbq? did they at least have bbq chicken or something? all this talking about food is actually making me hungry. breakfast time !

talk to you later happy hump day

Nicole- Yuck, I'm sorry your having Step-Daughter issues again. That is no good at all. I wish there was some way things would magically work out. It seems like it keeps coming back over and over again. So frustrating. At least you get her on the weekends. Happy Anniversery! Good luck on the food tonight. Enjoy your night out- maybe you can squeeze some extra veggies in? Oh, and if there's a bread basket, and you're going to have a sandwhich anyway- skip the bread basket? Just a thought. I'm going to have an eating challenge tonight myself (more in a sec), so I totally get it, but enjoy!

Yes, I'm on the road. Today is our first show. We've got a really weird schedule this time around- we actually have a lot more free time and days off. I'm not sure how this is going to work- all I know is my tour partner, Joe is going to get spoiled. It's his first tour, and so far we've stayed in awesome hotels and we've had "light" days (travel and show days). Today he said the breakfast wasn't very good... even though there were scrambled eggs, sasuage, toast, pasteries, muffins, belgian waffles, biscuits and gravy, fruit... if that's not a good hotel breakfast, what is he expecting? Yikes! Oh well. We've got pretty good places the next week, so I don't know when he'll realize what it's like to be in a "normal" hotel.
As for the eating thing. We're in the Memphis area, and there's another NTC team staying at our hotel. The four of us are going to go to Rendeveous BBQ for dinner. Apparently it's a pretty big deal- so there you are. I'm not a huge BBQ person- and the worst part is BBQ restaurants very rarely have ANYTHING remotly healthy on the menu. I'm praying for some green beans at least, any if I'm really lucky... a salad? Yeah... won't press my luck.

Anyway, gotta get going- we've got a show soon! Happy Monday everyone!

xoxo

hi girls! hope everyone had a great weekend!

fox- long days suck! how many days a week do you work? i dont work 14 hours but mon wed and fri im away from home from 8-8 and i never feel like working out at lunch! im so jelous you have a free trainer. id prolly fork over the money for a gym if i got a free trainer! half marathon!! sounds awesome. i tried c25k a few times but im pretty sure running is not my sport lol. i just have no endurance i never got past week 2! ive really tired a few times to do the running thing but i always give up!

erin- ive never done long distance and its seems like its difficult. how soon do you get to see him again? not soon enough im sure :( im glad ur going back to charlene, dont let her know you were cheating lol. ice cream happens bc im stupid and buy it. are you starting your tour this week? hows your partner?

so todays my anniversary :) so were going out to dinner when i get off work. were going to my hubbys favortive resturant and they are famous for their poorboys so im not eating to healthy tonight, but we did eat chicken last night and my stepdaughter likes it so ill be making it on weekends alot bc she needs to eat healthy. this is completly random but we found out she has mice in her room where she stays at her moms. probably bc they have open food in there and the room looks like an episode of horders. its not just her room, her mom and her moms bf all saty in the same room oh and now the mice 2. so needless to say were not happy about this but rather stuck bc i dont have to money to go to court for her and chris grandpa would rather give his 2 grown daughters money, who have decided they dont feel like working anymore, then caring about his great-grand daughters health and saftey. ok sorry for my mini rant, you dont want me to actually get started about chris' family bc i would have to worlds longest post!

have a great monday everyone!

Sheli- LOVE Zumba. I've done it a couple times and had tons of fun every time. It's not Turbo, but it's "almost" on that level ;) You should TOTALLY try it. Good luck with the job situation, I know something will work out soon!

Nicole- Yeah, it was great to see the boy again. It's getting difficult, though- because he really hates it when I leave. I hate it too, but I've done the distance relationship thing, and I know how hard it is. He "knew" what he was getting into when he decided to try and made something work between the two of us, I'm just not sure he actually "knew." I am going to go ahead and go back to Turbo. I took yesterday and today off (I may do a light job, or swim a couple laps tonight) to recharge my workout "batteries" and I'm going to start back in on TurboFire tomorrow. I don't think Insanity was any more "difficult" than TurboFire, it just wasn't fun for me. It's more of a bootcamp style workout- which could be fun as a classs, but not fun in my hotel room- and the music was not motivating at all (which is a HUGE thing for me). So yeah- Chalene and I are going to start kicking it again tomorrow ;) LOL- Ice Cream happens. Just push through- you can do it.

Fox- Insanity is also a beachbody product (like p90x), done by the same guy that does Hip Hop Abs. So far, my favorite workout programs have all been done by Chalene- TurboJam, TurboFire, and Chalean Extreme. I would reccomend all of them. p90x is one that a lot of people like (p90x2 is coming out this December), but the workouts can be really long- so I've thought about trying p90 and giving that a shot. I may have to try those Dance Julianne tapes- I totally need something new (P.S. if you can't tell- I have a TON of workout DVDs ;) I'm jealous of your trainer- I would LOVE to work with a trainer. Good luck with your schedule, that's always hard.

Okay, side note on the Zumba ladies- just remember, even if you're worried about the dancing- even mistakes burn calories :)

As for me, I'm going to rest and relax this evening and try to get myself back on track tomorrow. I KNOW I can do this. So here I go!

xoxo

Okay, after two crazy days of work, I am back!

Sheli - I took a Zumba class once, and I just couldn't get into it. It felt sooo repetitive, but unlike step aerobics (which is also repetitive), where I had to concentrate all the time to not fall off, I didn't have to concentrate on the choreography AT ALL in Zumba, so I was bored to tears. However, I have quite a few friends who love it, so I wonder if I just had a bad teacher. If you like dancing, I really recommend the Dance Julianne tapes. She is one of the professional dancers from Dancing with the Stars, and I thought her choreography was good, and it's quite fast-paced as well.

Erin - What's the Insanity workout? I feel like there are so many programs out there that I don't know about, like p90x and c25k (that one I finally figured out lol). Hope you find one that keeps your interest, I know that's the toughest thing about workouts!

Nicole - One double-ice-cream day will be alright. I saw your blog about the skinny jeans, and that is awesome! You are allowed to sneak in some ice cream twice every once in awhile :)

Today was work out with the trainer day (our gym has free personal training). Trainer Mike (who has been my trainer since way back in the day when I was really skinny - he expects me to still be in dancer shape lol) had some 'tough love' for me today. I just started running in May, and he has been helping me work on a program and train to eventually run a half-marathon, but it is super hard to fit in running consistently with my work schedule. There is no good time for a run on a 14-hour-shift day!

But, we talked about getting more active in general. I need to be running more on my days off, since I am going to do a 5k in October, and I need to do 15-20 minutes of cardio on the other days... which is one of my goals here! He also wants me to strength train more than once a week (we do weights once a week, but he wants me to add in another day too).

So, it is time to evaluate my schedule and make a calendar with workouts built in! We will see how this goes... Have a great Friday and weekend ladies!

erin- thats awesome you get to be in st louis again! seems like u get to spend some time with the boy pretty often, but not often enough right? why dont you stick w turbo jam. i know how muhch you love charlene. what was insanity workout? sounds hard.

sheli- glad your having a better day :) sounds like a fun time. at least you have some options open to you right now. im sure something will work out. i havent tried zumba but i would like 2. they have a few classes at my gym but none at a good time for me. it does look crazy and i know i cant dance so i would make a fool of my self but it does look like fun as long as you arent shy (i am) i actually ordered a video from the library seriously like forever ago (maybe almost a year) and i have never gotten it. one time i asked about it and there were like 80 people waiting for the video also and all in front of me so im not expecting to get it. let me know if you do it how it goes.

ok so ive eatin like crap today, what did i eat you ask? oh i just had ice cream for breakfast and then i came to work oh and oops i had ice cream for lunch 2. WTF nicole WTF!

Nicole - well done on the raise! That is great news :) Hope you will have enough to treat yourself!

Erin - thank you :) I'm really bad at being unemployed - it gets me down and I find it hard to bounce back... BUT I've had a much better day today - Craig and I went into town today and treated ourselves to lunch and then went and looked around the art gallery (free!). We got lucky because it is a lovely sunny day today, so we got to have our lunch outside, listening to the buskers in the town square :) It was nice, and we're a lot happier today!

Job wise, I am finishing up that application, and I'm going to take it in person tomorrow morning... BUT if it doesn't work out, I have a few other options - a part time nanny job which isn't a dead cert yet (Mum is having a job interview and will need a nanny if she gets the job), a full time nanny job which would be better money, but I would need to pay out a few hundred before-hand for certificates and registration, and a retail job has appeared at a shop we like called Muji... Also, I am halfway to arranging some volunteering in a local school, which will help with future applications, if I don't get this one...

Have any of you guys tried Zumba? The local high school (about a 5min walk from my flat) has started running classes every night Monday - Friday, and it is so convenient I'm considering trying it out... I've had a look online and it looks a bit crazy! Not sure if it would be good crazy, or scary crazy though... any thoughts ladies?? :)

Sheli- Hope you got your shimmy on! Sounds like you had a case of the "blahs." Those are no good, but you can push through it, I know. Regarding the application- okay, yes- there were other people looking around- but none as amazing as YOU. Keep your chin up. Sometimes it takes some "no"s before the right "yes" comes along. As for the boy- what can you do together that wouldn't cost anything? Just have a "date night" at home. If you want to switch it up, picinic on your floor- get a cheap bottle of wine, and watch a movie... or just talk. I KNOW you can do it :)

Nicole- Just rehearsals. Tomorrow is our "show and tell" to the company, Friday we have a performance at one of the local schools for one of the production staff to make sure we're going to be amazing (we are), and then we hit the road Friday after the show and go to... ST.LOUIS!!! Yay for a St. Louis weekend. Daniel is super excited, and so am I!!!! :) Hurray!!! Congrats on your raise! That's awesome, get it girl :)

So, I just finished week 3 of Insanity, and I've decided I hate it. It bores me, and I don't want to do it. When I do Turbo I'm excited about my workouts, but not with this Insanity. I need something else fun that will kick my butt into shape, because I just don't know that I can keep doing this no fun workout. Blah. Oy. Okay- I'm going to go unwind for a bit before bedtime.

Fox - That is exactly how I feel! They are these tiny little goals - 20min of exercise? Should be easy!! Instead, I am finding it really hard to even want to go for a walk... I'm getting back into it slowly I guess haha!

Blergh, I'm not having a great day today though! I'm working on a job application which needs to be in by Friday. I went to look around the school and there were 24 of us looking round that day, as well as more people going to see it another day. Soooo I'm not holding out much hope and feeling pretty demotivated by it all. Still, I am doing my best with this stupid application, even though it is making my brain hurt trying to get it right!!

Also not having a great day because the boy and I had a big fight this morning, and I still feel pretty cut up about it :( Basically to do with the fact that we don't spend that much time together as a couple at the moment, and it's really getting me down. Boils down to not having any money, both of us being sick of only having each other around (we still don't really know anyone where we live) and neither of us feeling like we look good right now. So, yeah. I know everything will work out, and we're just going through a rough patch right now, but I hate this feeling!!

I hope you're all having a great week! I am determined to get out of this hump - going to go put some loud music on and dance around for a while emoticon *shimmy shimmy*

Nicole- Property taxes, yuck. Well- one at a time, and when you can (passports), is better than none at all. I'm still workin on getting STL boy to get his... I figure he needs to do some traveling ;) (cough cough, perhaps meet my family eventually...). Read your blog... CONGRATS!!!! That is so awesome! Get it girl! :) My test went well I hope. The practical went really well (YAY), so now I just have to wait on the results for the written test... about 6-8 weeks. YUCK. Luckily, I'll have tour to keep me busy and not thinking about it!

Fox- :) Yeah, I totally agree on the staying up late thing, especially since I don't get to see him much. Don't worry about the weekend, it sounds like you kept yourself busy. When is your 5K? Is it for something? How long have you been running? I'm not a runner, so this whole thing seems so foreign to me :)

So I've been doing much better with my two tracking goals, but not so much with the singing one. I guess getting back into the "creative" side is just a lot right now. Rehearsals are taking a lot of time, and a toll on my voice as well. I guess in actuality, rehearsals are really helping get my voice "back in shape". I guess once we hit the road singing will be more important, but right now- I'm doing the best I can with what I've got. Okay, so I just finished my workout! Time to hit the shower before meeting up with one of the other tour groups for dinner this evening.

Happy Monday all!!

xoxo

Sheli - girl, I hear you! I thought I had three simple little goals, and I feel like it is taking a lot of mental effort to accomplish them each day!!

Erin - no such thing as staying up too late with the boy, if it was staying up having fun. Get that time with him in when you can! :)

Nicole - awesome job with the cleaning! That will make this week's FLYLady challenges go even faster, because I think it's the bathroom week. (Yes, just checked, today is the grossest part eww eww wiping down the toilet lol.)

I totally fell off the wagon this weekend between work and not being home one of those days (long story short, we had to stay overnight at my parents' house because my husband was at a book fair for his new book from like 7am until 6pm, and I was at work from 8-8, so my parents had to babysit the grandpup :). Then our friends who are stationed in Panama as FSOs were in town, so as soon as I finished up my 12-hour shift, it was off to hang out with them.

So, aside from work, the weekend was fun, but my time flew by right before my eyes! I'm off today and tomorrow, so I will catch up. I did okay with my tracking, but really fell behind on my exercising. Going to try to sneak in a run this evening between errands and dinner, since my back was bothering me this morning. I must not slack between now and my upcoming 5k!! :)

Hope Monday is being kind to everyone!

sheli- i hate when you have a rough start to the day. you feel like the day is just wasted! theres always tomorrow tho.

erin- ya im gona get them one at a time but first property taxes were due 12 days ago, and i still need 500 more dollars for that. so hopefully i can get the pasports by end of year. thats longer than i wanted to wait but its more realistic. hey you have to enjoy your time with the boy while you can! how was the test??

this weekend i didnt work out :( pretty much forgot water even existed :( but i did clean the crap outa my house. did the bathroom. organized 2 closets, finished macs floor and got her room perfectly organized. started on my closet and did the kitchen. all this after my mental breakdown on saturday. that took up most of my day, just being crazy

im so happy to be all alone at work again :)

Hi Ladies!

Sheli- I'm starting rough as well, but that's okay... point is, I'm starting. It's not going to be easy to get into these patterns, but I know we can do it. I tracked all my food on Wednesday- half Thursday, half Friday, but so far everything today. I figure, the more I work on my goals, the better I'll get. Okay, so you slept until 9 today. It could have been worse. I know you'll get there- don't worry.
Nicole- Great job getting your stuff done! Get it girl. So... I was randomly thinking about it the other day, but how is the passport situation coming? Did you decide to do them one at a time? I don't remember any particular "ending" to that conversation.

Okay- I'm exhausted. I had my AFAA training/testing yesterday- stayed up far too late with the boy last night and Thursday night (before the traning, I know- bad Erin), and traveled to MN and jumped into rehearsal today. It's about seven now, so I think I'm going to go ahead and make today my rest day so I can relax, work on some memorization, and get to bed early before a long day of rehearsals tomorrow. I'll be checking in more regularly now since I'll have internet access (YAY). I'm also going to be able to TRACK since I have internet. No more silly excuses, right? We can do this! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

xoxo

Okay, so these goals are a lot tougher than they should be. I can't seem to find my motivation at all!! Yesterday I was up at 7 to take the boy to work, and it *ruined* me for the rest of the day! I didn't sleep well and I was so tired all day I couldn't find the energy to do anything, let alone exercise or do school stuff :( Had a sleep in until 9am today, and I'm hoping to be more productive... although I'm supposed to be having some friends over this afternoon!!

Erin - Ooh how exciting! I hope you guys are having fun :D

Nicole, I wish I was as motivated as you!!

LN- Great goals! Welcome to the group. I hope you find as much support here as we do (I LOOOOVE these ladies!)

Sheli- OMG- it's been FAAAAAR too long. Okay- in a nutshell. The guy I had been dating for forever and I broke up in March, this guy I'd been friends with (but obviously wanted to be more than friends, but I was still in a sucky relationship and he was dealing with that's all he got) and I started talking more after the break-up. I visited St. Louis several times, and eventually at the end of June we decided to see how a relationship would work. It's weird- because in a way it's way too fast after a break-up, but Dan and I (guy 1), should have been over a long time ago (think I've been venting about him to you guys since the beginning of this group.). Anyway- luckily STL guy is really understanding about the whole situation- and was totally fine with not being a "thing" for a while. However, basically- because I'm always away and traveling, it helps him to be an actual "thing," it's safer that way ;) I'm visiting now, and I leave Saturday morning to go back to Minneapolis to start rehearsals for my SouthEast Tour! YAY! So... yeah- me in a nutshell lately (boy-wise, anywho) Easing back in to exercise is SOOO much better than trying to go full-force- so good for you. Don't want to burn out! My fingers are CROSSED for you!!! Keep us posted!

Fox- I know, tracking is sooooo hard. That's why I didn't track at all this summer (no internet, etc.) However... I'm lucky that I'll have it now while I'm traveling (yay internet in hotels!), so no more excuses for me! Maybe if you just kept a written journal if nothing else that would help? Hope you had fun with your trainer!!!

Nicole- Yay yay yay!! K, that's all I got. I'm pretty excited we've got some more people back! :)

K- Gotta run! Gonna go spend some time with the boy :)

xoxo

Woo, how was everyone's first day?? I have to catch up on my tracking (we don't have internet access at work, so I have to use my phone, but our building is also like a cave where there is no cell phone service... and this is the excuse I always use as to why I don't track lol), but I did my stretching!!

Nicole - we will have to keep each other motivated on the FLYLady challenges! It's one of those things that makes so much sense, but I always skip it. No longer! :)

Erin - I like your plan to 'work out your vocal muscles'. Creative stuff keeps us all going!

LN - Welcome! It looks like we are all trying to add tracking and working out to our schedules. We can do it!

Off to meet with my trainer for the first time in like 3 weeks. I am pretty dang excited! Have a good day everyone!! :)

Well, hello ladies! I hope you are all good. I'm looking forward to the September challenge, I need to get back into it and get motivated!!

My 3 goals will be;

1. At least 20min of exercise a day, EVERYday.I have been severely lacking in this recently - the weather is really windy and cold and I just don't want to go out. BUT there are tons of things I can do indoors, so I need to be harder on myself!!

2. At least 30min of job admin stuff a day. I finished my teaching course, but still don't have a job. We are getting very low on money, and to be honest, being unemployed is making me feel like crap. I am eating more, because I have nothing to do, and it is getting me down. I need to make sure I do *something* everyday to make me feel like I am working towards my dream!

3. Get up before 9am! Also related to being unemployed - I am finding it harder and harder to get up in the morning. I feel like I have no reason to get up, because I'm not doing anything with my life right now. It isn't good for my weight, or my mental state and I need to snap out of it.

Right, let's do this! Can't wait to get back into the swing of things and hear about how you guys are getting on!

Sheli xxxx
