I am doing great. I gave up sweets (candy, chocolate, cake, donuts, pie, etc.). Whenever I get a craving a eat yogurt, fruit, or cereal. I know eating less sugary foods as aided in my weight loss and I plan to limit my sweets intake even after lent!

Life is short so LIVE it.

Life is a race. There will be many hurdles along the way. It does not matter how many of them you knock down. All that matters is how you get up and recover!

How is everyone doing with their committments to Lent?

I gave up Fast Foods especially McDonalds. I have done very well with passing McDonalds and just waving. The only fast food I have had is Wendy's chicken sandwich and Chipotle's burrito bowl(no rice).

And if you make burgers at home trying using lettuce as the bun instead of a hamburger bun. It is healthier and honestly it tastes really good. I make them at home all the time with extra lean ground beef (96/4) or course! emoticon

Okay Ms. Yolanda! I know how you feel because we are in the same boat! We can do it! I've been wanting a hamburger so bad, so this Friday I will be making home-made burgers! Look at it like this....WE'RE SAVING MONEY!

WTG! Yes, Prayer does work! It's really not too much....I was going to give up the sweets, but I only crave them every now and then. Lately it's been vanilla cones from McDonald's. Good thing it's low fat!

You are giving up a lot but you can do it!!

For me, sweets are my DOWNFALL! I love cookies (even the 100 calorie pack ones), cakes, pies, you name and if it is sweet it is for me! LOL. So for lent season I am giving up those sweets.

So of course this started yesterday and wouldn't you know it....... when I got to work yesterday morning someone had bought in homemade cookies and pretzels dipped in icing. So I said a quick prayer, got my cereal out of the refrigerator and RAN back to my desk. Now I DID have a pretzel BUT I split it with my co-worker. He ate the part dipped in icing and I only ate the regular part!!!!!!

Working two jobs I eat out alot, because when I get in from work I don't feel like slaving over the stove. So for lent this year, I have given up eating fast food and sodas. I love Dr. Pepper! Tea is now my bestfriend..LOL
