I haven't been very active here lately but it would be sad to lose track of this team. So I thought I'd start a new topic.
Has anyone been trying out new things lately ? I have. I watched a documentary (BBC Horizon) made by Michael Mosley (medical journalist) about new ways to lose weight in a healthy way. He visited a few professors and people who were doing research on the effect of intermittant fasting. I thought it was very interesting, so I tried to find more information on the web.
To make a long story short, I've started doing intermittant fasting because it's healthy, easy and cheap ! I started in September, first once a week and from November on, twice a week and I finally got results !
I hadn't managed to lose weight in about 10 years (after finally getting diagnosed as hypo due to Hashimoto's disease). Now I have lost about 4 kg in 3 months, which in my case, is quite spectacular :o)
I've also started doing Pilates to strengthen my core and it feels great. I want to add some cardio and strenght training but it's all on hold at the moment since I have a mild whiplash (a car hit mine from behind last week :o(. I hope to recover quickly so I can get back on track asap.
