Last Wednesday, I joined the Jumpstart your fitness challenge.

To make along story short, I was counting down the minutes for my cardio last week, and ST. tonight, I had scheduled a cardio session and ST. I did my ST thru the workout generator. I finally got a smaller weight for my left arm due to herbs palsy when i was born. (it functions well now and has since after I was born and put thru phys therapy, but i have a hard time doing palm up and moving it as normally as my right arm therefore making it hard to build up muscle.)

Anyways, after my ST I did my cardio kickboxing video. I LOVE this video. I just found myself trying to make an excuse for myself to not get thru it or to just count down the minutes and feel miserable. Tonight, i just didnt feel like doing it, and even considerd not doing it. but i told myself this is a CHALLENGE. thats exactly what it is, so i WILL CHALLENGE myself to do this workout. I got thru both workouts and felt SOOOO great, that I even RE DID THE KICKBOXING VIDEO!!! thats right, I did a whole 20 minutes of cardio and ENJOYED IT!!!

I have been praying that I will overcome this stink feeling i have been having about working out and losing weight. I have completely cut out soda and all i drink now is a diet citrus green tea and the rest is water. some pure clear water, sometimes mixed with crystal light. and i find myself enjoying this. I am in LOVE at how well my hard work is starting to pay off finally. I even saw a 3lb drop on the scale this past week. I usually do a weekly weigh in ONLY on Sundays and I dont touch the scale until it is Sunday morning when I wake up.

I just thought I would share this with everyone. Hopefully my wisdom teeth deal doesnt get in the way too much next week. if it does, I will just double up and make it worth it. I will for sure be doubling up before I go to my moms for the week.

YAAYY!!! I am just SOOO overwhelmed with joy about my progress tonight :D I LOVE this feeling!!!

Yes, you're sure right about that! Hey, how ya doing? Yeah, I know...I haven't been here in a looooooooooong time! I thought I'd update my profile & my weight too, now that I'm back working hard at losing again. Can't say I'll be a regular here. Life has me going in 20 different directions & I've got my fingers in a lot of things. But I just wanted to touch base with a few of my friends & say hi. Oh, and I've also been involved in the Made To Crave book. If any of you haven't gone through this yet, check it out. It deeply probes those inner things that we bury & these things are often the very things that are "eating" us alive. it's like having a shrink in a book! And the best-est thing? It's all Christian based! It's by Lysa TerKeurst & can be found at Christian Book Distributors. It's made a BIG difference in how I see things now. Seeing things from God's perspective clears the way for the truth. So give it a serious look-see. Also, if you can get some gals together at church, it's a really great study for other strongholds in a persons life. Anyway, gotta fly. Blessings on you all.

Love, Sandylynn

Both of you girls are doing GREAT!!!

I stopped the gym after about a month when I figured out that I really wasnt doing anything that I wasnt doing at home. We got the public service discount since Boyfriend and I are both EMT's, but we really needed the money to go other places. We also had gotten a bigger pool this summer and that really helped us out also.

JACONRAD- I know the feeling about the pants! I found an old pair of jeans that were in a different dresser that i had to lay down on the bed, suck my belly is and hope that I wouldnt have to run, or quicking my breathing because once I got them on, I could hardly breathe!!! I tried them on today, thinking maybe, just MAYBE they wouldnt be so bad, and low and behold, I could get them up past my hips and there was just enough room to button them and I dont feel like I will pass out! lol I decided that I was going to wear them today, and thats exactly what I am doing :)

In the last month I dropped 5 lbs, I now 'fit' into my pants instead of just being 'able' to get them on, I can bend and pick things up off the floor, and getting out of a chair that tips back or sinks down a bit no longer requires that someone give me a hand, and even though my workouts are short I've been sticking to them.

No matter how far the distance, you still get there one step at a time.

Kristye - that is so awesome! I probably didn't spell your name right - I'm good at that! sorry!

Two pounds is a good and safe weight loss, and the six inches over all is wonderful. Keep on going! I have lost about four pounds over the past month. I am struggling with water weight though - I often do during the summer. I have been working out at the gym starting this past week and a half on my husband's days off, so I am hoping that that will help jump start some more weight coming off. I noticed my stamina improving each time I've gone in. I've been doing the recumbent bike and have been able to up the RPM's each time. I've also done some of the weight machines as well, but have to be careful of my back with some of them! We have a weigh in on Wednesdays. You let Bren know what your last week's weight was and this weeks weight and she posts on our main thread - Daily Discussions, Devotions and Encouragements - what the gains and losses were. This week our biggest loser was Missy at 6 pounds. She started a new vegetarian diet and she is a walking nut!! I hope you will join us over there and let the gals know your good news, they would love to know how you are doing and encourage you in your journey. Kim

God bless, Kim

In the past week exactly, I have lost 2 pounds and a total of 6 inches all over my body. Feels good to see improvements when your feeling down about what your doing.

I was wondering....has anyone else made or seen any improvements this past week or month? I hope so!
