Thanks for the info Tina. We are going with a group from our local dive shop, we are all staying at the Plaza Resort. We'll be doing a 2 tank boat dive every morning and then we have a couple of trucks for shore diving in the afternoon so we'll split up depending on where people want to go. I am excited to try that local grainy bread! I love good bread and since I am prone to sea-sickness, simple filling eats are a must in between dives!! Benny may be living at that ice-cream shop if we find it!
Comet, Todd and I have been to Bonaire twice, and plan to go back this coming December. It's an awesome place to dive, no matter what dive site you go to. Do you know what place you will be staying? We always stay at Buddy Dive because we like that they have the Dive/Drive package that gives us a truck and some boat dives. Not that we need the boats because there are tons of shore places to dive. Heck, some of the best diving we have done have been right at Buddy Dive's house reef!
As for eating, we usually hit the super store grocery down town and stock up on the local, very grainy, yummy bread, some of their local jelly, and other stuff to have for lunches (to keep costs down). We like to hit Papagayos, on the main drag downtown. They have great sandwiches, and down the street is an icecream parlor (can't remember the name, but is only a block or so down from Papagayos, only on the other side of the street) that is really good. There's also a place down on the ocean that was awesome, can't remember the name, will have to look it up and let you know later. Tina
