OHHHH BABY.... {{{{hugs}}}
I'm so sorry to hear about the break up. I'm right there with you on this one girl...only mine broke up with me, via an email after 2-yrs.

SUCKS..yeah, it does. It is a total disruption of our whole world. messes us up; emotionally, mentally, and physically.

Get the crying out, think about all the crummy things, call him ugly names...it helps for the healing. UGH..darn poo-poo head guys-want their cake and eat it too.

They don't realize how good of a woman we are, until they've casually tossed us aside...then, oh yes this will happen...THEN they eventually contact you and want to get back together, or a Bootie Call...oh hell-a-lu-la, please, yes...come back into my life for a romp and scramble my world up YET AGAIN.

Go get the rest of your stuff.
Get involved in activities
FORCE yourself to go out with friends
Attend MeetUp.com groups
Take classes
Go to coffee shops, the movies, library, and bars on your own if you need to...
JUST GET OUT. It helps to keep the brain occupied and creates a world of YOUR own, that is separate from the old routine.

I'm right here for you girl...been there, done that chapter of "love"

Well, Dave and I have been dating for over a year (we were friends for about a year before that). When we started dating, I told him I did not want a relationship that was going nowhere, if he didn't want to eventually make a commitment, I wasn't interested. He told me he felt we had a good thing going, that he could see our relationship growing in a good direction. I then found out he was seeing someone else at the same time (the first six months we were dating), and he talked me into keeping our relationship going, as he had ended the other relationship a few months before I found out about it. Against my better judgment, I said ok. He told me he would prove to me I would be able to trust him again, that he loved me very much, and could see a future with me...getting engaged, and eventually getting married. Well, two days before thanksgiving, we were talking about relationships, and, he told me he was happy with how things are right now and didn't want to make any changes!!! Which means...I keep my apartment, he has me over to his house most days and nights, except when he doesn't want me there, then he sends me home...he can do things with me whenever he wants, but can still go do things with his buddies and not have to tell me. He said he loved me very much, thinks I'm the best woman he could ever have in his life, we have a great intimate life, so why change it?!?! I was devastated!!! I went home in tears and cried all night. The next morning he didn't call, so I called him and went to his house to get all the things I had there (I had some things for staying over night and was also storing some things in his basement since I don't have a lot of room in my apartment). As I was loading my car, he said I didn't have to take all that stuff. I asked why not, he said, "well, you can still store it here." Yeah, right!!! I took everything except for two things I couldn't because they would not fit, i need a truck for them. I told him I'd come get it when I could find someone with a truck. I haven't heard from him since. He had a big Thanksgiving thing at his house (I was supposed to help make the meal), and I'm sure he came up with some real good story to tell his family when they asked where i was. Anyway, that's the gist of things, this is getting long. Needless to say, I haven't slept the last three nights at all, I can't eat, i've been throwing up all morning. I'm a wreck.

I am a person of infinite possibilities and dreams.

Well, I may not be going to Compass Point after all. Looks like Dave and I might be on our final hours. God, life really sucks right now.

ScubaPrincess-Thanks for the update. Don't you think it would be a bit odd for me to go all by myself?
I would have to buddy up with others who are there as a couple or maybe in a group. Seems kind of invasive, or rude to assume that others would buddy up with me...I don't know...I'm new to this sort of thing.

I was thinking of checking out the local dive shop and follow up on the Cozemal trip that is being planned for either Jan or Feb. At least I know a couple of people there and wouldn't feel like the 3rd wheel...as much.

Tina - You will love Compass Point. We dove with them on 2 different trips, we stayed in the 2 bedroom condo March 08 and then at Cayman Castle next door in Sept 08. They are a first class outfit and I wish we could join you! If you're serious about inviting another couple, I'll talk to my husband. That is a great deal for the week. We were thinking about going to Cozumel again in Feb/March, but we could maybe be convinced to go back to Grand Cayman. The East end is my favorite part of the island.

Debie - Compass Point is a dive resort, so if you go everyone there will be diving.

Dave and I are looking at going to Grand Cayman the middle of March. We are looking at a package for Compass Point Dive Resort, seven days, six days of two tank dives, free rental car, and airfare from Chicago for $1650. That would be staying in a two bedroom condo with another couple, if we can find another couple. Anyone else been there? We're still in the talking stages.

Wish I had some time to take off on a dive trip in Jan/Feb. We'd have a blast doll! Hope you get to make it to Belize.

I would SO love to dive the Blue Hole...oh yes indeed. Other than some pool skill building diving, I haven't been on a dive trip since Jan and I'm starting to get antsy for another trip!

If you go to Belize you MUST dive the Blue Hole and/or Turneffe Elbow. They are both worth the extra expense and time. The Blue Hole is a once in a lifetime experience.

I haven't heard, and it might be because I've not kept up very well on the team....
emoticon sorry

But...wasn't there going to be a Belize Dive Trip around Jan/Feb?

I'd be interested in tagging along for that or any other WARMER water dive trip!
I have 2 weeks off in Dec, and a ton of Annual Leave built up.

Give me a holler
