Okay, so I didn't really go to the Halloween party as a baked potato with all the fixin's, (just ate one instead) But I did post a pic of my real costume, in my photo album on my Sparkpage. It's not all that great, and there's no way you'd know it was me, but Michela wanted pix, so there it is.

Hope everybody had a fun Halloween. Ours was pretty cool, as the party we went to, really did live up to expectations.

What's this nonsense about wearing a potato sack, huh Mich? You'd probably look mighty fine in one anyway! Just make sure ya get one with the silk lining. Those things can be really itchy!

Note that the message you're asking about, Mich, has been changed. I honestly have NO IDEA what I was trying to post last night at that point. I was exhausted when I got up yesterday morning because I got very little sleep the night before, and I guess it finally all caught up with me, because I fell asleep at the keyboard.

And then, apparently I did something that's only rarely happened before... I started posting in my sleep. As bizarre as that sounds, it's something I've been known to do. I fall asleep at the keyboard, and then wake up, only I'm not really awake. And I start posting stuff that's straight out of dreamland... I'm just glad it wasn't even more nonsensical and embarrassing than it was!

And no, I don't sleep walk. I just sleep post sometimes...

I love your idea Chris, especailly the one with T carrying me about and catering to my every whim!

Angela, I think I could work with a bunny of some sort! And thanks so much for the compliment but I certainly do not feel or look like the bikini pic on my page these days. I think a potato sack would be more what I would wear these days. emoticon

I love your idea about me being the Pope, Angela! You're right; for me, it would be the ultimate disguise! And in addition to sprinkling some holy water around, and waving majestically, I could do much pontificating, which would be a natural fit for me! Great idea! Lol :o)

That is such a perfect costume for you Mich. I could definately see you being a mermaid, and with bf carrying you around on his shoulder, and seeing to your every whim..... well then I think you would be in heaven, or at least very close!!!

To be honest, first of all I was thinking of a much more ........ "cute" costumes. Mich, you have such a fantastic figure, it would be a shame to cover it all up with a big ol' fish tail!!!! To give you a hint, I was thinking something along the lines of bunnies, but I won't say more..... (why do I always associate you with bunnies??? must still be that wabby joke!!!) Damn, if I was in as good shape as you my mind boggles at what I would "dare" to wear to a halloween party. Anyway, whatever you choose it will look fantastic, no doubt about it. And you will definately turn a few heads, and for all the RIGHT reasons. I think "if you got it, flaunt it!!"

And Chris, your idea of something "reverant", I think that's what you said...... well, you've just come up with the ultimate disguise. Be the last person anyone would ever expect - the POPE. You can sprinkle some holy water around, and "save" a few people from themselves, mutter a few lines in Italian, wave "majestically". Heck, you might even convert a few people if you are convincing enough....no one would ever guess it was you, right??

Mich, I think your idea of posting pictures is great !!! Yeah, we should definately do that. Be great to see what everyone was "game" enough to wear in the end!!!! LOL

Note to other divers in group... she said "you all" not just me. So don't leave me here twisting in the wind on this one. OK? Lol

A few costumes come to my mind for you, Michela. The first two would get me in trouble with Spark if I described them here, so you'll just have to wonder. Sorry about that. ;o)

The third is inspired by your profile pic, which is very undersea feminine graceful, and reminds me of a mermaid. So yes, I think you should be a mermaid for Halloween. You could be discreet and wear large scallop shells for a top.

The lower body fish tail would be logistically difficult for moving around, so I would add that "T" should dress up as Poseidon; Greek God of the Oceans, and he should carry you around in his arms wherever you want to go, and also be at your service for your every need.

How's that sound?

Lol Angela! You have a good memory! That talk about cute little kitties was around three weeks ago. Lol :o)

You've made some very good points about what happens when relationships and denial of true feelings get tangled together with alcohol and a spirited game of Twister. Very well written, I think... Twister as couples therapy? An insightful and very original idea, and Hey, sign me up! ;o)

And I like your role reversal idea for choosing a Halloween identity. I guess that would mean that I should become a very reverent and respectful, sane and sober, responsible kind of guy!

Nah... I'd rather drink, play couples twister and get in touch with the denial of my true feelings! Wait a minute... isn't that what I come here to the lounge for? I think I'm having a flash of insight here! lol

Well, Mich, this year we are just trick or treating. The girls are organising a little party for their friends, Melissa is planning on being a vampire, the 2 littlies are planning on being cute little kitties (I know there's been a lot of chit chat about cute little kitties, huh Chris!!!).

Chris, I'm not sure those stocks are really going to get me anywhere, except maybe worse off than I am already..... but anyway I'm sure you have a vivid enough imagination to figure out what twister + alcohol = , especially with mature, professional, committed adults living in denial of their true feelings for other peoples partners. They did get into some very interesting "positions" and did get to know each other on a whole new level, like up close and personal!!! LOL.

Needless to say, nothing really out of line happened that night, but some seeds did get sown. And consequently a bit of breaking up and hooking up with someone else took place after the event, and now everyone seems much happier.

Maybe twister should be considered as some kind of couples therapy - it seems to bring out the true emotions and intentions of some, and helps them come to conclusive decisions about where they should be heading with their lives on a personal level. HHHmmmmm, that's food for thought.

Oh, and this year I am going to be a witch. I am such a lovely person in real life that I thought a bit of role reversal was in order, so I'm practising my cackling and have brewed up a nasty little potion for any naughty little girls and boys that cross my path!!!!! YAAA AAAA AAAA AAAA AAAA

Yeah Mich, I forgot to ask her about that bribe... Hey Angela, have I got a deal for you! I'll trade ya 1000 shares of stock in a hot new start up co. that is working on how to make things invisible and disappear! (like all your money, for example)

What am I gonna be for Halloween this year? I think I'm in the mood to be something truly terrifying this time... something that will make people so scared that they won't be able to sleep for weeks!

I'm gonna be a graph of the US stock market for the last business quarter!

Well Angela, maybe Tina and I should do stand up together. (and then we could try other positions) But yeah, Tina has a great sense of humor and we seem to play off of each other well.

Your Halloween experience sounds pretty wild! Especially that special cake experience... That kind of "experience" can make any night seem like Halloween. Ahh, the good old halucinogenic daze... if only I could remember them!

Your wenches costumes sound cool, and I had to smile when you mentioned the guy dressed up as a French maid. Way back in the day, my roomate dressed up as a nurse for Halloween and he was pretty darn convincing as a woman. I took a picture of him striking a sexy pose, and as a joke, I had it enlarged and framed, and hung it up in our living room. He thought it was pretty funny, and didn't take it down.

So then, about a month later... when my "wife to be" and I were in our first week of dating, I brought her to our place and introduced her to my roomate. We both kinda forgot about his female alter ego picture on the wall... Jean looked up at it, looked back at me with raised eyebrows and said "I'm not sure I can compete with a guy who has better legs than I do. Just how long have you two been living together, anyway?" I answered "Long enough to know that 'Big Jim and the twins' are way more than I can handle, so you've got nothing to worry about."

I think that right in that very special moment, we began to fall in love... :o)

Top half or bottom half??? LOL! How did I miss this one? :o) Hey, you two could always flip a coin, and in this case, calling heads or tails would make perfect sense!

But with me, either heads or tails, I can guarantee that you'd both win... ;o)

Running away now, before I start getting pelted with spoiling produce! Lol

OMG, I totally missed all the fun of this topic!!! LOL. I think Tina and Chris need to go into stand up together..... maybe this would work out for you better than last time, Chris, with a side-kick in your routine instead of doing it all on your own. You both share the same sense of humour..... it's hilarious!!! LOL

Well, onto the subject that was initially posted..... the craziest, funniest halloween experience. Well, mine was back when I was 21 and doing my O.E. living in London. I knew a couple of kiwis (New Zealanders) who where having a party so my English friend and I dressed up as wenches (english barmaids/sluts... can I say that word... LOL) and we had those white powdery faces, very low cut tops, big flouncy skirts, and those little puffy white hats with frills around the edge that maids wear. The costumes when we got to the party were hilarious, one of the guys I knew was dressed in a maids outfit complete with fishnet stockings, black mini dress, and white apron, bright red lipstick. Another lady was dressed as a dominatrix..... Chris is this heading where you were anticipating..... LOL.

The party was a blast, complete with a very "special" kind of cake that, lets just say, made my tube ride and train trip home seem a very interesting experience. I've since learnt to be a lot more careful about which party food I eat!!!

I don't get to go to parties like that much these days, but a group of my friends did have another very interesting kind of party one time that involved the game twister and a lot of alcohol. But that's another story, and I wasn't present at that party....but I could be bribed for details....!!!

LOL! Tina, you're making my head spin! What could you all do with Chris??? Remember, I AM a guy, and when ya put it that way, well the possibilities that my male imagination can conjure up, are nearly endless!

But now, I have to be careful, because I've been burned before. My wife and I made a sexual bet, and I lost... It resulted in me being tied up naked to our four poster bed. (told ya my tongue is too loose tonight!) I quivered in anticipatiion as to what she'd do to me next.

Well, as I was lying there, totally vulnerable to whatever whim she had in mind, well she... she began to... Oh I don't think I can talk about this!!!

She began to write up a shopping list for the supermarket, and then just left me there for the next two hours!!!

This woman plays rough! I'll never make foolish and dangerous bets with her again!

Now that's what I'm talkin' about, Sallye! You seem to understand where I'm coming from here... Like a rabbit and a carrot, and a sexy seductive Candy hooked up with a guy named Cane. I get the feeling that you know something about the Halloween vibe I was trying to describe.

Mardi Gras? I've never been... but it's on my list of things to do before I'm too old. TY for reminding me!

Few years ago my best friend and I went to the bash at a local bar district.
He dressed as a rabbit - I as a carrot.
We didn't win the costume contest, and the bar staff were so p.o.ed thst we drank free all night.

Well, all right then! :o)

OK, so I talked about sexy costumes, but I've seen some pretty funny ones too. One Halloween a while back, we stopped in this bar that was a notorious Boston College hang out, and just about fell off our bar stools when we saw the "Frankenstein Family" walk in... It was two BC basketball players who were around 6'7" and 6'8", with their short friend who was about 5'7".

One of the tall dudes was dressed up like the traditional Frankenstein monster complete with a full head Frankenstein mask. Now the other tall dude also was wearing a full head Frankenstein mask, but added a shoulder length blond wig on the mask, and wore a bright pink sleeveless dress, complete with all green arms, green legs and women's red shoes.

The little guy was in the same Frankenstein mask, but with a propeller beanie on the head, and he was wearing a striped t-shirt, short pants and black high top sneakers. He also had green arms and legs. The three of them together looked hysterical! Wish I had a picture to show, because this was one ya really had to see to appreciate. :o)

Hey, different strokes for different folks... And I guess I am a naughty little boy at times. After 18 yrs of marriage, when my wife walks into the bedroom after a shower, for a split second, I go right back to age 13 and my mind exclaims "WOW!!! There's a naked lady in my bedroom!!!

So tell me true... did the Halloween post cross the line? I tried to be as subtle as I could. I won't be offended if ya say yes. Sometimes I need guidance on "boundaries".

Hmmm... I guess sometimes my mind does seem like a train that travels on one track. ;o)

As far as provocative costumes and Halloween parties, maybe that's more something that us degenerate Bostonians are into. Lol Although put "sexy adult halloween costume" into Google, and you'll get quite a wide selection. So there must be quite a market for them...

Chris, somehow I figured you could turn Halloween into something sexual!!! I've only been to one Halloween party where all the adults dressed up, but there were no provocative costumes. Bummer...seems I've been missing out!!!

Well, we're through the first week of October, Fall is in the air, and soon Halloween will be here. I love Halloween. Loved it when I was a kid trick or treating, and continued to love it as I got older and enjoyed wearing costumes for Halloween parties. I also love the whole idea of being scared, but in a safe and fun way. Monsters, ghosts, ghouls, axe murderers, Richard Simmons... It can be fun stuff! But there's something I love even more...

I don't know about you, but I've found that a really good Halloween party can be pretty wild. With everybody in disguise, dressed up as something or someone else, it seems like peoples inhibitions start to fall away. Add some alcohol to this witches brew, and some wild and crazy behavior starts to come out.

Halloween is on a friday night this year, and I'm really looking forward to a big party at a friend's house where there's been some really memorable Halloweens in years past. I've found that the loss of inhibition that comes with being in disguise, and also women in sexy French maid outfits, dressing up as Las Vegas show girls, belly dancers, and lots of other "adult oriented" costumes, can produce a very powerful mass sexual vibe...

Everybody feels it, and some even act out on it. At this party, a certain amount of exhibitionism isn't uncommon as the hour gets late. All the way from daringly exposed flesh, to having to be careful when walking into a side room with the door ajar. But the people in there, may not care - may even enjoy the thought of being discovered...

Not that my wife and I are actively into that sort of thing, but I'd be lying if I said that we don't soak up that intensely sexual Halloween vibe, that hangs in the air like some heady and provacative perfume. We save it for later, and then save it for each other, after the party. What results, can be pretty spectacular. All the more reason to get in shape...

So is anyone else here planning on partying for Halloween? I haven't decided on a costume yet. What are you going to wear? Has anyone else been to a really wild Halloween party? What was it like? What are some of the most memorable Halloween get ups you've ever seen? As in creatively original, sexy, or just plain laugh out loud funny? Let's have some fun with this... :o)
