When I first got here, I was 13 months out of Surgery for a lobectomy and a mess. Surgery went OK but I wound up with Pleural Effusion Christmas Eve 2008. The EMT'swere not happy dealing with me as they thought at the time that I was having a panic attack. the ER doctor went in and relieved the fluid pressure so I could breath.
That was then. When I first got here, I figured I had nothing to lose so I'd give SP a whirl.
The more I read the more I decided that maybe Sp had something going that I could use.
Jump ahead to 2012 and I'm still here, still reading, still learning.and the best part is I decided to take care of me and saw a lot of other members doing the same. Now I actually look forward to going to the gym and long hikes in the woods with my dog and still being able to run my business.
Although everything has been going great, I did get knocked down a bit this month with my surgeon finding a couple of "suspicious" spots on my left lung and this week getting diagnosed with Glaucoma. I have made progress so far and intend to continue.
