How are you doing on the cleanse? Good results so far?
We are on a residential lot - less than 1/4 acre. The chickens (we have about 20) don't take up much space, we have an area that is about 10'x15' fenced off for them with a coop (also, we have meat rabbits in there with them in elevated cages). The dogs and kids get the rest of the yard. We love having fresh eggs, and it is really educational for the kids to learn part of where their food comes from.
The peanut is the size of an apple already! I've felt some movements, which is exciting and lets me know that everything is alright. Nausea has gone way down, but I'm still tired a lot of the time. Very exciting!

Nice!! We've been considering a few chickens, but we dont have much land ( not many proprties in San Diego do, its something we are still getting use to). Eveything is good here... it was cold and yucky out all last week, this week has been warm and beautiful =) However with warm beautiful weather comes allergy season ( i have TERIBLE seasonal allergies). I finaly filled my RX yesterday adn woke up before the alarm this morning and went jogging it was real nice. Today should be the end of my cleanse but my Max pack wont be hee until tomorrow so since i have enough stuff im going to continue until friday. hows the little peanut??

Enough of the sad news!
What's going on with you and your life?
We are battling rapidly changing weather here and trying to keep all of our veggies from dying... I fear it may be a losing battle. But, some of our younger chickens started laying eggs! So that's awesome. With 5 of us, we go through LOTS of eggs every week...

We had a pretty good run of storms last night and this morning. Always makes for crazy drivers on the way in to work though.
I used to have a front porch with rocking chairs - we would sit outside and watch the storms roll in. Beautiful, amazing, captivating...
Did you hear about the fertilizer plant explosion in West, Texas? So sad.

I saw that you've got some lighting storms coming ( my grandma lives outside of Dallas in Sherman so I check their weather). I miss good thunder/ lighting storms, we don't get any of that here in San Diego. It's been cold here but its supposed to start warming up tomorrow .... Definitely looking forward to that :). Enjoy the storm , I use to love getting a chair and sitting in the garage with the door open and reading while it stormed.

Never a perfect, or even a good, time to have a baby. Ever. But they are so stinkin cute, and it's really a love-thing!

That's exactly what i finally told my husband. If we keep waiting for "the right time" to have a baby we will never have one. I was considering pushing back trying until late fall but we agreed to just stay with late July regardless. My nephew was born last week and it really motivated me to start getting ready.

We were putting it off until we were both in better shape, or reached a goal, or achieved a specific thing. We finally realized that if we kept that up, we would NEVER have a baby together! We would get to one goal, then say, well just one more before we start trying...
I gained weight too after our wedding (2011). I'm going in the right direction now, though, and the baby-on-the-way is definitely helping my motivation. :-) ESPECIALLY when I think about my last labor (which lasted 36+ hours) and how if I had just been exercising properly throughout my pregnancy it could have helped shorten that.
Just make SURE you get losing weight purposefully cleared with your doctor first! And take him/her any supplements you are planning to take, just for a second opinion. Better safe than sorry! You can even make an appointment with them before you start trying to talk about a plan for weight loss, supplements, dietary needs, etc.

I am so glad you shared this information. I have been so excited about having a baby, but keep putting it off until I'm in better shape... it comforting knowing i can still follow my weight lost regimen (as long as the doctor okays the losing weight). I've been so frustrated when we go married 9 months ago i was at 185, now I'm at 205 =( so instead of losing I'm going in the opposite direction. We decided to start trying in late summer though so its now or never i gotta get motivated.
Congrats!! i cant wait to be able to post the same kind of post =)

Actually, one Spark a day is just fine. She said no more than 1-2 servings of caffeine per day, and since Spark only has one serving of caffeine, and most of the energy comes from the vitamins and minerals, she said that I could have one of those AND one of something else with caffeine (usually tea for me).
Pretty much anything in moderation is fine, with the exception of alcohol and smoking.
If you're used to 2 Sparks/day, I would start to cut back now. :-)
Catalyst is fine, it's just amino acids, so there's nothing to cause adverse effects on baby or momma.
So far so good! I'm still losing weight, about 12 pounds in the last 2 months. I have been really tired and nauseous, but I am hoping that will go away now that I'm officially out of my first trimester. I haven't been hitting the gym like I want to, simply because of the fatigue and upset stomach, so most of the weight loss is from just eating right and staying on the products. We've heard the heartbeat and seen the baby moving around, counted 2 arms and 2 legs last time. So glad everything seems to be in order so far!

I guess I didn't consider the mercury.... I would have thought out of all the products that it was the safest, especially over catalyst. I'm assuming spark is off the table? I was just talking to my husband about that yesterday that in June I'm going to have to start weeing mysel off coffee and spark ( we plan on TTC mid to late July). Thanks for sharing this info!! How's your pregnancy going so far? Such exciting news!!

CorePlex, Spark, ProBiotic ULTRA, Rehydrate, Catalyst, and all of the food items are fine.
Those are just the ones I talked to her about though, I didn't run the gamut past her! :-)
If you're curious about a specific one, I can find out for you if it's ok.
She did say NOT to take OmegaPlex, only because it comes from Mackarel and doesn't specify which KIND of Mackarel (not supposed to have King Mackarel because of the mercury content).

I have NEWS!!! DH and I are expecting a bundle of joy in October!
I cleared several AdvoCare products with my doctor, and she also cleared me to continue losing weight during pregnancy, but no more cleanses for a while.
Has anyone else continued on their AdvoCare journey while pregnant?

Our team likes to use that for the challenge - 100% for 80% should be the goal! Otherwise, if you mess up a little bit, you can beat yourself up about it. :-) It's all about the POSITIVE!

WAY TO GO! Consistent effort will give you consistent results - even if you're only 100% "ON" 80% of the time, you should see progress! (plus, who on earth can be 100% on 100% of the time???!!!)

Hey everyone, well, I definitely didn't eat what I should have for a cleanse dinner that night, but I did ok. I ended up with a crab cake (1) which came with a small asian noodle salad (less than 1/4 cup). So, it was carb heavy, but enough to satisfy and make me feel like part of the group.
Today is day 10 of my cleanse and, even with that night and one other slip up night, I am down 5 pounds! (I'll measure tomorrow for finals, but my waist is down 3 inches too!!)

You can also be very specific about what you want - if they don't have a chicken breast on the menu, but they have fried chicken, you can absolutely ask to get a grilled chicken breast. If you can identify the ingredients that you want that are already on their menu in other dishes, you can usually get the chefs to whip you something up. PLUS, that means that you know your meal hasn't been sitting in the back waiting to be served!

I am doing that tonight. I am going to watch a basketball game and am just planning on eating before I go. I can drink water while I am there and it's late enough that I don't think it will be weird if I just don't eat. Sometimes you don't have a choice though. My friends wanted to go to a prix fixe restaurant last week and I just told them no. I didn't want to spend that much money on food that I would feel guilty about or just not eat at all. You might be able to talk to the waitress away from the table and get some veggies and hummus to munch on too.

Hi! I'm here (kind of!).
Curious... if eating out (not at a restaurant of my choice, but with a group for a party)... and there is NOTHING on the menu you want (even if you weren't trying to follow any particular eating plan)... what would you do?
I have a birthday party tonight at a restaurant I haven't been to. So I looked up the menu online and even the salads don't appeal to me. It's going to be a long night I'm afraid :-/

I have always worked out at night (well, since I started working out again 4 years ago). It's the one time I can guarantee that I can have me time (with 2 kids and working full time it can be challenging). However, I ran two nights ago and didn't take the catalyst and still haven't slept well... so I think it's something with me in general - that just happened to correspond to starting the catalyst.
ANYWAY! Happy FRIDAY! Hope everyone is doing well!

A few comments/questions from my (awesome) team to try to answer your Catalyst question:
"I have taken Catalyst right before bed and haven't had a problem before. What other products are they taking in the evenings?"
"Working out at night could be keeping them up. The hormones released when exercising might do it. (?) However, if they've always worked out at night, it could be that the catalyst lets them work out a little longer and therefore releases more of those endorphins? A possibility I suppose. In that case, the Catalyst might be indirectly responsible."
"I will say this...my mom has done the challenge before and she is currently doing her 2nd one. This time she ADDED the catalyst (only thing different) and says this time she has the energy she had when she was 20. She feels like a new woman and again only thing different from the last challenge is catalyst. So I think there may be something to staying up late if they have been working out at night before catalyst. Just a thought..."

And it's Monday again
Question: Has anyone had Catalyst keep them up at night? I work out after dinner (only time I can do it... I am NOT a morning person no matter how hard I try)... and I started taking 2 Catalysts before I work out (probably about 7). I have been sleeping really poorly for the last week and last night was HORRIBLE! Trying to figure out if it's related to the catalyst or something else... Thoughts?

So close to Friday, I can almost TASTE it...
DH leaves today for the coaches convention - I'll let you know how it goes!
I did week 3 day 2 yesterday on a hurt foot (I stepped on a charger that was prong side up on the floor - there is a huge chunk of skin missing on the bottom of my left foot). It was actually LESS painful to jog on it than it was to walk on it!
I got my Can You 24 workout DVD yesterday!!! Can't decide if I'm going to try it out tonight or give my little tootsie the day off today.
I have a friend got a FitBit for Christmas, and she loves it too - she said it keeps her competitive too with seeing her friends' steps and where she ranks.

Hello & Happy Wednesday! I haven't been to any events so can't help there... but I HAVE done C25K several times. If you struggle, repeat the day or the week. That way you can actually get it done. (I "finished" a couple of times with dropping to a walk when I wasn't supposed to... cheating... feels better when you actually do it!)
I got my FitBit for Christmas and I love it!! It's been motivating me to walk more - especially during the day at work!

I started week 3 of the C25K yesterday... Not too bad, but I also hurt my knee playing with The Princess last week (I think during Track & Field on the Kinect), so it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. Argh.
I have decided to save up for the FitBit! I think 2 more paychecks ought to get it.
Also, DH is going to a coaches convention this week in Waco to talk to them about AdvoCare - our first big event! Any advice?

Oh good! Hopefully you're through the slump of being hungry... AND fruit is ok once or twice a day during the 2nd phase of the cleanse.
I agree on the shakes and such not really setting a good example. I do one replacement (either a shake or a bar) a day, but I really have to watch how I put together my plate - those kids watch EVERY MOVE! Lol.
No snow here (Ft Worth, Tx) yet, but there is some on the way, I think. We got snow on Christmas and the kiddos froze snowballs, haha.
TGIF!

Ok, even with my crazy thrown together eating yesterday, it worked! I was not starving yesterday afternoon!! Now, we'll see how I do today with actual food. I don't like using shakes etc more than once a day... just doesn't feel like real food and my kids question it... and this is really all about setting a good example for them!
We got some great snowball snow overnight - so I'm looking forward to some snowman building and maybe even some sledding this weekend!

I take the MNS Max3.
I will boil some eggs tonight - and I'll have chicken leftover from dinner tonight for protein tomorrow (I normally eat leftovers for lunch, but didn't have any for today).
I have been trying to follow the day 11-24 of the 24 day challenge (the "burn" phase) but have been struggling with it. I think because it is essentially carb free for 3 days and I LIVE on fruit (and love my MRS for breakfast...)

I would suggest adding some boiled eggs to your salad at lunch, and then have more PB or something with protein plus a carb-rich veggie or fruit for a snack when you get hungry after that. If that doesn't help, then a MRS between meals should be fine - but be careful that you don't over-do that.
Which MNS are you taking?

I try to mix it up... but here's today: Muscle gain with PB and celery for breakfast almonds and a clementine orange for snack Lunch - more muscle gain (because I forgot to make a protein last night), big salad with vinegar and a few almonds
I tend to eat a lot of veggies (lettuce, celery, spinach, peppers) - fruits when "allowed" and raw almonds... those are my staples.
Some days I do muscle gain (I try not to use this for more than 1 protein during the day - today is an "unprepared" type day).... and the meal replacement shake (for breakfast).

What are you eating for your regular meals/snacks on a daily basis?

Hello! you know we're all going to say the same thing, lol. Peanut butter with crackers, string cheese and fruit, possibly a Greek yogurt for the extra protein. I understand what you mean. I get that way too. I could eat my arm off I am that hungry! maybe try eating some lower sodium vegetable soup? or how about some oatmeal with a little bit of peanut butter and some fruit and it? yogurt with Chia seeds is always yummy and the chia seed will blow up and make you feel fuller .or, since this is an AdvoCare site, and you are a distributor, have another meal replacement drink . just remember to keep your snack at about 150 to 200 calories. I hope this helps

I need suggestions on how to mix up my "burn" day lunches... I am consistently hungry (eat everything in sight type hungry) between about 2 and dinner... my snack doesn't seem to even start to touch it... and I am overeating (and eating the wrong stuff) during this time. Help? :-)

I get over mine by being REALLY personal with them. When I'm doing a follow up, I always start with "how was Billy's knee surgery?" or "how did Annie's soccer game go?" then I don't feel like I am only contacting the person for my own good. :-)

I haven't had mine turn to pudding, and I use only 10 oz water. Have you tried the new mocha yet--uber yummy. As for the SPARK and rehydrate, I use 8ish oz. I don't use the rehydrate much, but my daughter's softball team loves it, and it helped my son (who was dehydrated) at an amusement park get over his sickness and was able to make it to the car..long story!. ok---here's my dilemma---I have been a distributor since June '11. I am not a pushy person, and I hate when "salespeople" try to push products on me. How do I overcome my fear of being "that person who tries to push_____" and get my company going????

I mix Spark, Rehydrate and the MRS with 16+ oz water... I'm a wuss, I like things (including coffee) to be weak!
The hubs thinks I'm nuts because of it. Well, that and other things....
I'm with you on the cravings! I've been switching between the fruit & fiber bars and the MRS for breakfast during the week. On weekends, I'll eat eggs and sometimes cereal, and I can definitely tell the difference - weekends I am hungry within a couple of hours, during the week I could go all the way to lunch without thinking about food. I DO eat a piece of fruit between breakfast and lunch during the week though because I do my workouts over lunch.

I used a blender bottle, but only 8oz of cold water (no ice this morning).
Anyway, had an extra at work, so dumped it out and tried again! Day saved!
I am amazed at how I crave sugar etc when I eat cereal (my normal morning staple) and how I don't when I have a MRS... I know I stay full longer (I'm sure because of the increased protein), but never imagined the lack of morning munchies/sugar cravings. Love it!

Good morning! Glad you stopped by. :-)
I haven't had that happen, do you mix with ice?
I usually mix mine with 16 ounces of water and use AdvoCare's blender bottle - that way, even if it does unmix itself, I can just give it a shake. :-)

Good morning!
Just thought I'd say hello.
Also, does anyone know why the Meal Replacement Shakes turn to pudding (really thick and goopey) within 5 minutes? Mixed one up this morning, then my truck slid and got stuck in a snowbank - by the time I got it out and went to take a drink it wasn't drinkable! BOO!

@NSOLORIO
When you're logged into your microsite, go to SHOP. Then add the products in the amount you will want in your bundle (2 canisters Spark, 1 box Herbal Cleanse, etc.), and then click MY SHOPPING CART at the top. Click on EDIT/VIEW CART, then SAVE CART. Enter a name for your bundle and click the bubble for BUNDLE and save. This will take you to a confirmation page, click the link for the bundle you just created, and check the box that says SHOW THIS BUNDLE on my Micro-Site.
You can edit these at any time by going to your order management and adding/removing bundles or products.
Hope that helps. Let me know if you need more info!

Hi there! I thought I would start a general discussion forum for things other than venting... Just to say "how ya doing" or "thanks for the support" or "I love this group/AdvoCare..."
Say anything you want on a daily basis - starting a veggie garden? wondering what to have for lunch? want to know how everyone enjoyed their holidays?
Enjoy!
