Emily I sure tried, 3 times, but can't get to you through the FItbit site. I have been trying to change my profile picture on there for days now and can't do that either. Luckily it is syncing my daily steps. I am a member of NY team if that helps you find me. I'm FrancescaD

Emily & Susan you are both awesome and such an inspiration! I have been off NS since July 1st and maintained my weight loss so far. I started NS March 1st at 227 and now am 213. I bought a new Fitbit and have been trying to get in 10,000 steps a day. That helps. Also swimming my mile 2-3 times a week. I would like to get down to 200 by the start of school on Sept. I drink my water and watch what I eat, lots of whole foods, veggies, protein shakes, fruits. I plan to go back to NS 100% when I am back teaching. It is so convenient! But right now I am enjoying the opportunity to do a lot more healthy cooking...Thanks Spark People for the great recipes!

Well I just did my July 4th weigh in and I was 1 lb. over but I still consider that a win and am setting my next goal.

My next goal is to lose 17 lbs. by October 20th, my 59th birthday and I am setting my tracker accordingly. My plan to get there is 100% compliance with the Nutrisystem Flex Plan, Including my daily 3 - a total of at least 30 minutes of exercise each and every day. The only change I am making is tracking exercise and setting shorter goal intervals. My first goal was losing 30 lbs. by July 4th began on January 14th - a 6 month goal. My next goals will be set to 3 to 4 month intervals.

This weekend QVC had another Nutrisystem Success Program as a TSV (Today's Special Value) and I bought the Variety Package on auto delivery and I plan to stay on it the full 5 months. I have abandoned my idea of changing the program and my new goal is to stick with it 100% (Thank you Emily!) between now and until my next Goal set for October 20th, my 59th birthday.

My first goal was to lose 30 lbs. by July 4th. If I lose 2 lbs. this week I will make it, if I lose 1 lb. as I have been most weeks I will be just shy of that goal. If that happens I am not going to accept it and just add the extra lb/lbs to the next loss goal but my real next goal is 100% compliance everyday. Including the My Daily 3 - which I have not been doing consistently.

I am using my flex days to experiment with low fat Vegetarian and Vegan menus but sticking to the flex guidelines - with one exception, on Vegan days I count beans & legumes as power fuel. Nuts are the only Vegan Power Fuels in the guidelines, six servings of nuts a day is too many fat grams, so counting beans & legumes as power fuels on those days, seemed more in line with the intent of the guidelines. For Vegetarian menus, my Power Fuels are all low fat dairy or Egg Beaters.

Susan, I did not achieve my ideal weight yet. I got to the weight I'm at now by following the NS pan 100%, then began to make modifications to try to transition to maintenance. I never thought I'd ever be under 200 pounds, and several doctors agreed. When I got to the mid 180's and was wearing a size 12, I thought I'd loosen my reins a bit. Maintained in a 10 pound range for over a year, still in that range. I want to get to the ideal weight that has seemed out of reach for my entire life.

My new plan for maintenance is to get to goal first, then use the structure of the NS flex plan to stay there. I lost fast until I got to about 190. That's when I started slowing and decided I would stay there for a while. We'll see how fast I lose at this rate. I try to focus on the behaviors I can control and not the weight which I really can't. If I focus on following the program I do better than if I focus in a number on the scale or on a clothing label.

Emily, I recall you posting that you had achieved your ideal weight by being on the Nutrisystem program for over a year. That is an amazing accomplishment. I was wondering if you followed the plan the entire time or intentionally made modifications from time to time to shake up your metabolism or avert boredom. If you followed the plan the entire time did your rate of weight loss stay about the same, relative to % body weight?

Even following the program to the letter, with the single exception of not eating between meals, I lose weight slowly and I attribute this to my age and health issues not Nutrisystem.
I had planned on losing about 3% of average body weight per month but after the first month my rate of loss has consistently been 2.6% per month - the number of lbs. lost each month have gone down consistently but the rate relative to body weight has been remarkably consistent. At this rate I expect to be on the program another 16 to 18 months, a total of almost 24 months to lose a total of 90 lbs. I should be out of the obese range by March 2014, out of the Overweight range into the Normal Range by July 2014 and then reach my ideal weight between October and December 2014 - which is a long time.

Since I'm trying really hard to get back to losing as opposed to maintaining, I'm focusing on being 100% on the NS plan, whether it's the meals or the official flex plan (not the Emily flex plan, which is NOT a weight loss plan!)

That's pretty much it for me this summer. I did go away for a week on vacation and ate pretty much what I wanted. I did gain but I'm right back on plan and I expect the weight to come off pretty easily as long as I stay on plan. I go to New York at the end of July for work and will try really hard to make good, healthy choices there and get right back on track when I get home.

I've been on the Nutrisystem flex program since January 14th and have lost 27 lbs., expecting to have lost a total of 30 lbs. by July 4th - almost 6 months. Like FRANCESCANAZ I am thinking of making some changes for the summer.

With the fantastic array of fresh produce available this summer I am thinking of increasing my flex days in July and August to have only three Nutrisystem days a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday), three Vegetarian Days (Monday, Wednesday and Saturday) and one dining out day (Friday), where I eat very lightly for breakfast and lunch and have my usual Friday Night dinner with family. If it doesn't seem to be working I will go back to my regular Nutrisystem program.

What is everyone else doing to continue or maintain their weight loss this summer?
