I guess the world has moved on now, but one thing to mention about taking on a new exercise routine is that you may well be increasing your level of muscle and so increasing your glycogen stores (which needs more water). So check what the tape measure tells you - you may be pleasantly surprised
hi all, just joined this group today. did the game [customized routine] on monday. I accidentally clicked on the 60 minutes + and ended up exercising 1hr19minutes.
Didn't exercise yesterday, tonight is the next workout. wanted to know how to change the profile to do one of the preset routines.
am disappointed with the music and bob harper keep telling me i could do better. what does he expect of a 53 year old woman who hasn't execised in 10 years. think if i did almost an hour and a half that's pretty good. on the plus side think the workout, for a Wii program is pretty good. not as much of a sweat that i like but think i may use the treadmill for 10 minutes b4 starting the Wii.
Re: Am disappointed, suggest you look at your sodium consumption daily for the last two weeks. Example. I weighed in Tuesday am was 154.5, pm 159.0. I ate cereal/milk/raisins for brekkie, lunch baked chicken w/shake and bake, cukes and tomatoes, snack - no fat yogurt/dinner egg beaters with 2 slices whole grain bread, 1 tsp low fat margarine. The only explanation I have for the almost 5lbs I gained in one day was SALT!. I had eaten on Sun/Monday brick cheese, soup/and cottage cheese, all high salt foods - think the shake-n'bake contains more salt too. To say I was annoyed at "blimping out" was putting it mildly. Anyways, just a suggestion. In my case will have to be more careful about how much salt i eat on a daily basis. The other thing is that I'd kinda slacked off in making sure I drank all my water in a day which probably didn't help. Good luck, will check in tomorrow to let you know how the workout goes tonight, regards, barbyk

Thanks for the reply. I didn't login to the game last night but maybe I will today. I don't know. Maybe I'll restart the game so that my weighin is on a Saturday when I can weighin in the morning. I have been doing it at night when I get home for work which is not until 7:00 or so by the time I eat dinner.
Don't give up. Its just going to take a bit for your body to realize whats going on and for the pounds to drop. Any exercise that feels like work (and not fun) is going to make you feel like giving up when you don't see results. But look at it this way - at least you got up off the couch! That's a big step. If you have the Wii Fit - try supplementing a few of the "games" that come with that on your off days. Believe it or not.. I actually feel like I sweat more playing with the Wii Fit than I do with the BIL game! Whatever you do.. just don't give up!
There is no better day than today for too often we find out that tomorrow may never come.
Well, I started The Biggest Loser Wii two weeks ago. I have been sticking to the game faithfully by working out and logging my foods. I had my second weighin last night and have stayed the same again even though Ali lost 12 lbs. last week and 9 lbs. this week. I am totally disgusted and feel like stopping the game.
