Hi MYYEAR51!

How often does it actually get hot in Manitoba. I understand it's a beautiful place...

As for Maryland, we just had an EARTHQUAKE! If you live on the East Coast, you already know this. However, it's extremely rare here. We do hurricanes, not earthquakes. Actually, what I felt was very gentle, but definitely noticeable. If felt as if some giant had taken my office building in his/her hands and gently shook it. Weird experience!

Still hot and humid here in Maryland; temps in the lower 90s today. There is a brisk breeze blowing though, makes the weather a little easier to deal with!

My house is not AC, just my bedroom. So I don't like this heat and humidity at all. I feel like a bad child that has been sent to my room...Hope my vegetable garden survives the heat. I have a tiny watermelon just starting to grow...

Here in Maryland we're in for a week in the mid to high 90s + HUMIDITY!
When it's this hot, I pull out my workout DVDs or use some from Spark People. But I miss going outside to walk/jog

summer heat wave is on its way. What does everyone do when it gets too hot? I try to go the air conditioned club and get a good run in...My children usually drag me to the pool where I try to get some laps in in the afternoon.

Cloudy and gray here today, but it's warm. I'm glad this is Sunday because I don't do any cardio or strength training on Sundays so I'm good for some down time.

Cool (low 50's), cloudy and windy in the Twin Cities... not a nice day. I am not feeling motivated to walk or actually do anything. I have a general lack of motivation today. Somehow I need to kick this ... My scale has been stuck for the last few days and I need to change something.

We had perfect weather for the 3 day holiday weekend. Mild and sunny with nice breezes. Now it's cloudy with a hint of possible storms again. That's ok. I have to go back to work today anyway.

It ended up raining off and on all day, with rumbles of thunder but no real storm. We had a nice evening for our dinner on the Bay; it started raining just as we got in our car to drive home, and has been raining off and on again since. That's ok - we'll take the rain!

Poured down rain again this morning, but cleared up and was sunny this afternoon. We cooked burgers on the grill and ate supper on the patio tonight. It was nice and mild. The next 3 days are supposed to be nice with no rain again until Monday. Sure hope so cuz our plans for the entire weekend involve being outside most of the time.

crazy weather here. Beautiful day yesterday then thunder and lightening and torrential rains hit as I got off work last night. The lightening and thunder and rain hit again today as I got to work. It's so bad the helos were having problems getting in here to airlift our trauma pt's out to Seattle. It's also bringing the serious mental pts in.

We had a wicked storm again on Friday, but the past couple of days have actually been nice. Sunny and mild with another day like that predicted for today. More storms are predicted for Thursday and Friday. I'm sure we will have storms on Friday since we're having 30 or more people coming over.

Hot and humid today; smoke was really bad at 7:30 when I ran to the supermarket. It blew out later, but I'm smelling it again, so the wind must have changed again. We did have a storm blow through yesterday evening; we weren't home, but our rain gauge says we got an inch. Where we were, at a bar-b-que, it only rained a little and rumbled a bit, but Mom said where she lives, the storm was so violent that she couldn't see across the street for all the hail coming down, and a tree came down on an apartment building down the street from her. Strange how different a storm can be within several miles!

More thunderstorms. They're predicted for just about everyday. Too bad we can't spread out some of this wet from here and along the Mississippi to share with the east where it's so dry and to put out the wild fires in the west.
