I missed the show this week and have not been able to catch it on the computer sense my computer is quite old. It doesn't seem like I missed much although I usually like make over week. Maybe I'll get to a good computer before Tuesday.

I noticed that none of the former contestants were there for their families. Producers must want to keep their progress secret until the final show.

A very disappointing show. Too obvious about the White House visit in an election year. Usually I workout on my elliptical while watching the recording of BL and get a terrific workout but not this episode. They all looked quite nice but Chris? Meh, not so much. She will not be the biggest loser as she hasn't the determination or drive. Did anyone else wonder why Roy wasn't there at the White House?

The one hour format was obviously because of the Voice. It's possible that not having an elimination this week was because of the walkoff of two players down the road.

I could see the shows all being 1 hour until the Voice results shows stop. I suspect w/ how popular the singing contest shows are, this is getting more viewers than BL. Especially since many faithful BL watchers have been so turned off.

SUNNYARIZONA, I think the reason they didn't have the weigh-in is because this was a "to-be-continued" episode. A normal episode with a weigh-in never says that at the end, so I think the viewers know that it wasn't the complete episode by the show saying it's to-be-continued. And I don't think they're milking the visit either. Unless next weeks episode is 2 hours, then maybe they are, but if it's another 1 hour episode, then they just divided it up over 2 weeks. Also, everyone has been wondering how the rest of the season is going to play out since I've seen people say the season ends the end of May, although I'm not sure. But with 6 people left and the supposed lost week in taping due to the walk-off, this may be one of the ways they are dragging out the show to make it to the end of May.

I also, did not realize this was a "to be continued" show. I think they are MILKING the visit to the WH!!!!

BTW, did anyone notice this was the first in 14 weeks, we didn't have a weigh in and sent someone home. ODD!!!

I felt robbed by the make over show this week...was I the only one who didn't realize that this was going to be a a to be continued show?
I liked the way they did the makeovers with each of the contestants seeing their old clothes and then comparing their current selves to what they were.
They all looked wonderful and no unflattering princess dresses this time thank goodness! LOL
Each of the guys looked really nice in their suits but you can tell that Mark is to a point where loosing any more than a few pounds of weight each week will be difficult. Both Buddy and Jeremy still have enough to loose to ate least give them the best chance at staying on.
The ladies looked so pretty with their new look however I think that Chris probably should have had a dress with sleeves as she had the dreaded bat wings under her upper arms. I loved her new color but the style was not much different in my opinion.
I don't get why Ana-Conda ended up with blonde hair? Her dark brown was a really pretty color and a few highlights or low lights would be OK but mehhh with the blonde. I thought her dd might not have recognized her at first...but maybe that was editing.
Kim looked incredible in her dress but not to be picky you can tell that size six was a vanity sized dress...not that she didn't have a lovely figure but today's six is probably 2 sizes larger than 20 years ago...I can tell in my own pants etc. I kind of thought her hair was not changed very much...just a slight change of color and a trim. I think she is in the same boat as Mark in that for her to stay she is going to have to probably loose 5 lbs a week and that will be kind of hard.
Now a whole week more to see who it voted off unless they sneak in a red line?

she also could have beaten the chx to make it flatter, then stuffed it, and boiled it while wrapped up in saran. that is the fast way to cook anything stuffed, but seriously...frying banans on the stove? why didnt everyone have a burner? i agree with you about her excuses, but i think the whole challenge might not have been organized as well as it could have been.

I think it is hilarious that you don't even want Conda making the same food as you Barbara...emoticon

I do want to address the Christine and Antone issue. If you had 20 minutes to cook a dish would you choose chicken, and then stuff it? I think not. She set herself up for failure, and then failed. This gave her an excuse though. It is an example of her entire time on the ranch. She says she can't do something, makes it so it is impossible, and then blames that for why she failed.

One time she gave it her all IMO.. she dragged an under 30 Emily out of the circle even though she weighed less, and Emily had a powerlifting background. She had all the odds against her, and succeeded. I think Antone did it as delicately as he could, and if those words came from Bob.. Christine would have paid more attention to the words. She never planned on winning the challenge. I think Jeremy did the same thing. Do you really think in 7 minutes, he couldn't find eggs, and bread?

Jeremy uses comedy to make people forget he isn't trying.. Christine uses excuses, and pity. If you spent 3 years with Christine, she would mold you into making excuses for her. She is more interested in coming up with reasons why she failed, than in coming up with ways to succeed. I think someone who has no emotional attachment to her, sees this more clearly, and I was a lot like Antone.. I was sitting at home,thinking.. she gave up before she even started cooking.. how is she going to succeed at this?

I think with a few weeks left, they have a lot of emotional work to do on Christine, but she will probably be voted out. I know this is kind of hard for me to explain, but I hope you understand what I am saying. We all know someone who is like this, and fails repeatedly, but always has the excuse why. This is usually because they did not remove those obstacles. A person that leaves their running shoes out, so the dog chews them up, and uses that as excuse not to exercise, or blames family food for not being able to stick to their diet. Basically, they would be a wild success if it wasn't for everyone else. They never look at the fact that they cause their own failures, and they can fix them too, with help from others.

The difference is that people like Buddy,or Kim have looked at their past, and corrected the reasons they failed. Christine is still blaming others, or a peice of chicken for not cooking in 20 minutes, after stuffing it to make sure it wouldn't cook in time. She is afraid to be a success. She now invents the reasons for her own failure. I think her greatest fear is to fail, and not be able to explain why she failed. To have to admit.. I am the cause.

This upset her because Antone was right on the mark.. the truth hurt her.

One of my favorite meals is a nice hearty cabbage soup that I make from scratch. I just hated that Conda makes it, too! Ick.

I was out of town last Tuesday, and finally watched the taped show. The station must have pre-empted, because what came up was "and now we return to our regular programming" and there was only the last 30 minutes of the show. Arghh. At least I saw the weigh-in.

First, great point Dragonfly about that terminology being used...I get it and thanks for the reminder how offensive it can be to those that know someone who is mentally disabled.

Now, the show. Kudos to Kim for kicking booty (again) in the weight loss! I don't know how much more she can lose-does anyone know how tall she is??? I'm still not a fan of her but in reality, I expected her weight loss to stall already considering how small she is so I'm impressed.

Mark, bleh...nothing really to say about him. They're probably keeping him as a shoe in at the finale...with nothing to lose he's easy to beat. The same thing can be said for Kim.

Buddy, oh my goodness! I loved how he just let loose at Zumba and he is so funny! I think without his injury he would be dropping some major pounds...we'll see how that plays out.

Chris, I'm still hoping she hangs in and I know there are a lot of people that do not like her. This is my opinion...while I tend to go for the underdog, she has pulled good numbers most of the time and I think it will carry her.

Jeremy, ugh. Funny guy but not a fan, it's probably because his backbone is owned by Conda, double ugh. He needs to grow a set and man up.

Conda, blech. My opinion of her is the same as everyone else's on here.

It was beyond time for Megan to go home, I mean I didn't believe for one second she was working her butt off to stay. Sure, she did more than usual for the sake of recording it for Bob, but not enough, clearly, to stay at the ranch. I always felt like she did everything half-way, and didn't have a competitive bone in her body.

The zumba was hilarious although it looked like they were doing freestyle with the cast...those weren't any zumba moves I've every done. But they were having fun and burning calories and that was the point!

The cooking challenge...what was that about? It's a weight loss show! Sure, they need to learn to fix healthy meals but 20 minutes to cook in a crowded kitchen? And what makes the three past contestants experts? Curtis Stone? Rocco? I can't remember the other two's names besides Antone...they looked great though. I didn't think it was Antone's place to call Chris out and when she had obviously wanted to get away by going to the gym by herself...and Antone comes in there...I thought 'wow'. I thought this part of the show was a major fail, except for Conda loosing the competition when she just knew she had won it with her nasty cabbage meal!

Everything we do in life is a choice...I choose to get fit & healthy.

Faith is taking the first step-even when you don't see the whole staircase.

I still think Conda has been weak in her weight loss because she knows she is protected. The one week she had immunity and didn't lose and the other week, she knew she wouldn't get voted off because the other team was doing the voting and she had formed that fake alliance with them. I think she's doing game play all the way. She loses weight when she needs it or just enough to stay safe. I think she's hoping to make it to the finale and be able to lose big, but I just have a feeling it won't be as easy as she thinks it will be. If she is even there for the finale because with the story about 2 contestants walking off, if she's one of them then she's gone for good.

Also, I'm not mad about this, but I'm just asking, please don't use the word "tard" or "retard" to describe yourself or someone else. For those people who know, work with, or have family members who are mentally disabled, those terms are very hurtful and offensive. When people use it to describe something stupid or to make fun of themselves or another person, it suddenly makes the term very derogatory for people who are mentally retarded. To those of us close to people who have mental disabilities, using the term in that way is just as bad as making fun of a mentally retarded person right in front of them. Sorry, I just had to point out why this bothers people.

I absolutely loved watching the Zumba dancing!! That was so fun and entertaining!! I give it to all the contestants who did the zumba. But especially to Buddy. I would never have the guts to join in in the middle of the group, let alone on stage. I have never tried zumba. I have good enough rythym, but I am a total tard when it comes to dancing. I might have to get a zumba DVD and see how I do.

They'll probably make a very generic, PC comment that two contestants had to leave for personal reasons. But at least we will know!!

This is the thread to the article about the walk offs. This article is from the end of February. However because of how far ahead with taping they were when it happened it's unclear when we will actually see who get out or how it will be written into the show.

There have been a couple of other thread on this team about it. One of the reasons I've hung in so long this season is to see how this drama plays out.

Person by person:
Kim- has risen in my regard a bit but I still have a hard time forgetting when she teamed up with others against quite a few of those who might have been their biggest competition with lame excuses and meanness. I think she has the drive to keep it up but it will depend on how her body reacts weekly as she had a pretty big loss this week.
Buddy- I am up and down about him. He did join in with the behavior somewhat with Adrian but has kept himself away from the drama which is a point in his favor. He has the disadvantage of the injury and depending on how long it takes to heal so that he can be doing more strenuous workouts it might take him out in the end.
Mark- Mehh don't care about him but loosing 0 might help him for one more week
Chris- Obviously has some problems that have not been dealt with and Antoine was right in that but all the psudo psychoanalyst on this show are not the right people to deal with her problems. She may turn out to be another Ali or Helen and win it all but not likely
Ana-Conda- They have managed with the recent editing to take her off the front burner but she still annoyed the heck out of me with her smugness about her soup and so glad that she didn't win afterall. LOL She has a very good chance to make it to the finals since she still has enough friends /family there to protect her unless there is a red line and she has to leave with no vote.
Jeremy- Probably has the best chance to win unless he is victim of the red line or he and Ana Conda fall below together and does what he has done all season and "lets" her stay. I have hope that he has really changed his life if he can get out from under AnaConda's thumb!
So that is my outlook barring the "walk off "episode and then all bets are off! LOL

I liked the show last night too. Loved the Zumba session....good advertisement for the classes!

However, I still cannot stand Kim, though she is looking pretty slim, and glad she won that $7,000 for her family, of which she will get to keep about $5,000 after taxes....

But Kim, Mark, Conda and Jeremy....all BIG game players, you watch, the next to go will be either Chris or Buddy, they are not in the "click"....They are separate entities....

The Jared thing was odd....however, I LOVE Subway myself...a great meal....though I now substitute and apple for the chips.

Antone, couldn't stand him last year, still can't....who does he think he is? He doesn't know Chris to give her a drill like he did.

I could not get over the tears Conda shed over sending Megan home, and WHY did she chose her for a bridesmaid? ARGGGG....

Last....thought it was hilarious that Kim said she hates to cook, and WON
and Conda, who said she loves to cook, with all these family recipes, and LOST! HAHAHA

Hi all! I just gotta say this! Did u all see Conda's face when Kim won the cook off? lol she is full of herself! I am sure she is a nice person but I still dont like what she did to the Bother and sister team! she was rude and wrong!

It was a good show.

I think the segment with Jared was obviously just a part of his actual visit, so I didn't find it strange at all. It was product placement to pay for the show, which I have no issue with.

The food challenge was fun. I felt that Antone meant well but I don't think he should have been so critical of Chris because it was singling her out in an uncomfortable way. I felt so sorry for her. She obviously has a lot of sadness in her life.

Megan looked gorgeous in that off the shoulder gown. I am surprised that she has asked Conda to be in her bridal party, but whatever.

I think it is very interesting that Conda is finally losing weight. I feel as though she has been dogging it up to now and is finally working because it is getting down to the nitty gritty.

I really enjoyed last night's show (for the most part). The food challenge was awesome! Newman's Own is an amazing company that always donates it's profit to charities that feed the hungry. The cooking challenge was interesting - poor Jeremy, so clueless!

Antone was so full of himself, Jeez, it was a cooking challenge with 8 people in one kitchen - Chris under estimated how long it would take. Maybe it was an excuse for underdone chicken, but it has nothing to do with her or her journey. Antone seemed so freaking high and mighty, like he had all the answers to the universe of weight loss. Maybe he has himself figured out, good for him, but a life coach he is not ... don't quit your day job Antone.

And Megan ... she and her BF (sorry, Fiancée) look great together - good for them. They can continue their journey together. As far as Conda being a Bridesmaid ... either the editing is not showing us the real Conda or she's such a good con artist that everyone believes her B.S. It's really kind of amazing to watch - she's really good at manipulating.

I liked the grocery/meal skit. I think Antoine nailed it. Christine has been failing her whole life, and is okay with it, as long as no one judges her. Antoine did, and even though they talked it out , and she said the right words. I think she is still pissed. She likes to be told of reasons why she is a failure, when the most obvious is, if you don't compete, you can't fail. When she tries, she does well, but fear of failure, makes her give up. Jeremy was sad..lol

Buddy was hilarious at Zumba. I know as a fat guy, it is always a defense mechanism to be fat and jolly.. otherwise you are just fat. Jeremy is also a funny guy. Megans camera was a cool bit, but she didn't lose much, and then went home. She looked amazing in wedding dresses, but she only lost 2 more lbs. Not very good.

No one mentioned Jared from Subway. He was a bit underwhelming. I think Subway is horrible, so wasn't such a big deal, but I thought it would be a big event for the show.

Now we are down to final 6. I am a little confused about Conda. All of a sudden she loses 7. I think her, Jeremy, and Mark are looking out for each other. Mark loses nothing, and he stays. They send home a girl who is obviously struggling? Game play..lol. So now they make up 50% of the contestants left. As long as only 1 of them falls below the yellow line at a time, they can vote Buddy, Christine, and Kim off one by one. I was thinking she might go home to win the at-home prize, and allow Jeremy to compete with Buddy, Mark, and Kim in the final 4.

I want it to be Buddy, Jeremy, Kim, and Mark.. if Conda slips in, it will be instead of Mark, or Buddy. Christine is probably next.

Mark has no chance to win. He might lose another 30 lbs, but that is far from 50% loss.(145.5)

Buddy hits 50% loss at 201.5. He is Jeremy's biggest threat.

Conda can hit 50% at 147, but is way behind the pace of the 2 big guys

Kim would have to get to 126 to be at 50%. She has to hope the guys slow down at home.. If the winner is at 45%, look for Kim to be on the platform with confetti. She is working the hardest, and is #1 right now, but I think she will hit bottom, before the finale.

Jeremy has to make 194.5 to get 50%. He has beat Buddy the last 3 weeks. He was down a percent to Buddy, and has now less than 1/10th of a percent behind Buddy. He has the momentum, and no stress fracture.

I hope the final 3 is Buddy, Jeremy, and Kim.. and they are all healthy by then. Then we'll see a real battle

Yes, Jareds visit was very strange. They must have cut a lot out - but then again they barely ate the sandwiches when he was LEAVING!!!
The Zumba bit was great - hilarious - nice to enjoy the show for once!
Conda - what can I say - Don't like her.

I really enjoyed the Zumba class too, and Dolvett's splits he did. Buddy was so funny and they all were able to cut loose in the class. That's the kind of thing I really like to see.

Just was so surprised at the very end after Meghan went home and the note across the bottom of the page said when her wedding was going to be and that Conda has been asked to be a bridesmaid.

I said to my husband during the Zumba part that I have a feeling Buddy is the funny guy of the house. He had me laughing so hard.

I liked this show. Although I think the trainer tips could have been a little more in depth. The looked like they had a ball doing Zumba. I like Zumba but that seemed like a party. Buddy was hilarious.

I found Jared's visit a little uncomfortable. He did not sit down and have a real conversation or they didn't show it. He showed the sandwhiches and talked about his weightloss and that was it. It made me wonder about his personaility and wether or not that isolated him in the beginning. I guess i was reading too much into it.

All in All I thought it was a good show especially the Zumba and the cooking. Not a fan of Kim but glad she won I know she and her family could use it.
