I used to hate workout videos so much! I think it's because I found it hard finding good ones that weren't too cheesy or not worth the effort.
Now I still prefer running outside or going to the gym for intense cardio but when I can't get outside or don't have access to a gym, I do the following videos. I've been living and working in Kenya for the past 3 months and really relying on these workouts to supplement my running.
JIllian Michaels 30 Day Shred- I love love love this workout. Level 1 is a bit too easy for me on its own but doing it back to back with Level 2 is a great 40 min workout! I actually don't have hand weights right now so I'm doing the workouts as a lite cardio and ab day (I still do the strength moves but just w/o weights). When I'm back home in NYC, I do these with weights but skip the cardio parts (I live on the 3rd floor of a brownstone and my downstairs neighbors would not appreciate all the jumping).
JIllian Michaels Banish Fat Boost Metabolism- All I can say is WOW! This is definitely a cardio blast DVD. If you're used to intense workouts, this won't disappoint. I'm always drenched in sweat after I do this one and totally exhausted (but in a good way). Lots of jumping, ab work, and kickboxing moves. Love this video!
Spark People Videos- I tend to not use these too much but there are some that I do often. The 10 min jumpstart cardio is a great way to fit in a tough cardio workout when I don't have lots of time. I also like the pilates hips/thighs workout and the 5 min butt blasting workout.
Windsor Pilates (on youtube)- I really like windsor pilates but they are a bit pricey. You can get some segments online though and I really like doing this for abs instead of just crunches all the time.
