I broke my pelvic bone when I was 5 years old and now I have arthritis there. It feels like I have beenn kicked by a horse in the crotch. I can barely walk, and sitting and standing hurt. So I am taking painkillers and laying down. I am also taking hot baths for the pain, but its not really helping. Hope everyone is doing better than me.

When is the last chance you had your vitamin D levels checked? I'm asking because I had a lot of debilitating pain that stopped me from moving about and upon getting my levels checked, discovered I was completely deficient in vitamin D. My doctor plaed me on 6000 ius a day M-F and 10,000 ius on Saturdays and Sundays and after about two weeks, I was not only able to sleep better but I also had considerably less pain...I took Vitamin D3 and bought it over the counter and still do take it...Also do you take a magnesium/calcium supplement? I'm new so you may have already explored these routes, just thought I'd try to help!!! Huggggggggggggssss and I hope you get to feeling better real soon!!!

I'm sorry to hear that you are having such difficulties. I hope things have improved a little bit for you by now. I was away on a pilgrimage trip to Ireland. My goodness, it rains a lot over there. My first day in Ireland seemed to be hard on my body, but perhaps it had something to do with being on a plane for 6 1/2 hours plus the rainy day when I arrived there. I got used to the dampness after a couple of days. I took a folding cane with me - it was so very helpful to use this walking stick. I have no answers for you - I guess we just have to learn how to endure our sufferings and be grateful for the good days. Just take it easy Ivylee and do the best you can. God bless, MaryBeth
I have hurt and not been able to function for about 3 days...pushing myself to do what I need to do. Going for a walk this morning seems like such a chore. IB doesn't help, hot showers, nothing is relieving it. My hands hurt, I have a hard time holding things..I hurt all over in my bones and have muscle fatigue...any suggestions? I am allergic to most meds. IB is the only thing I can take..I feel like a big cry baby, but after a day or two it really gets to me... :0(
