Hello-I find it easier when it's this hot-I'm just not hungry.I also get up & do my walking early in the day,so I get that I buzz-which seems to make the whole day go better.
'It is for us to pray not for tasks equal to our powers, but for powers equal to our tasks, to go forward with a great desire forever beating at the door of our hearts as we travel toward our distant goal.~Helen Keller
I seem to be opposite. There are far more cook-out gathers with tons of food. The heat and humidity just gets to me. I don't have the energy and don't seem to be as motivated like the cooler months. I just want to be inside and feel super lazy!
I do like the local vegetable stand that is open. I also like the fruit options for the summer months.
I seem to have my same "swings" (good weeks and not-so-good weeks), but since I don't work in the summer, it's easier to get in more walking time and I've started a regular routine with a friend. The berries are wonderful and much less expensive, so that has been good. I also don't want to eat as much because of the heat, so that's always a good thing. How about you, Julie, how's the training going ? Any races comin up ?
I feel more motivated to exercise in the summer just because there are so many more opportunities to be outside. I'm definitely using the extra hours of sunlight to take longer walks and working in some physcial play time with my daughter.
The food is iffy and changes day by day. How's everyone else doing with that?
