I'm new to this site & never tried Yoga before. I'm 58 years old & overweight. I would like to be flexible & meditate. I don't know that would be able to happen since I have constant mind chatter so I'm looking forward to getting my One Minute Yoga On!

Hi everyone I just joined the team to help me achieve on of my 2013 goals of increased health and flexibility. I am not new to yoga or pilates but I don't have a way of fitting it in my every day life. I am hoping that joining this team will help me to work yoga into my every day activities. I have four kids and they keep me busy so I may also look into the meditation part of the team too. God knows I need that too!
Hope to meet everyone and learn new things.

I have a problem that maybe somebody here can help with. Years ago (I think I was about 37) I had to have the joint replaced in my big toe. Since then, I really can't do things like lunge forward with toes bent hard (or, for that matter, wear the 4" heels that got me into this problem in the first place.)
In many poses, if the toes aren't curled, the feet slide.
Suggestions?

I am new to yoga, I take a class twice a week and I love it but as for practicing at home for some reason I feel much more clumsy and uncoordinated at home. I try to do some of the easier poses that I can remember such as downward facing dog, warrior and sun salutation but I feel I do much better in class.

I like to try variety, but my daily ones are all the Warrior poses, downward facing dog, Up dog, tree, & child & plank variety. I balance my body on pods & do some of yoga poses Took me a while to get to balance & hold the pose, but I didi it
