Post when something comes up but have not posted anything on my own.
"A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government."
"I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them. "
Most of all I hope you MIL continues to get better! Thank you for posting a truly terrific story!
Yes I am still on my 'home' team although I do not post here often. I started the Couch to 5K run/walk program in April 2010, ran my first 5K in July 2010, and had lost close to 30 pounds by Sep 2010. Thanks to SparkPeople and my SparkFriends, I am a RUNNER now!!! I am training for my first Half Marathon in Mar 2012; not bad for a 63-year old man!
Life has its ups and downs and although my family is going through a family health crisis now, I am determined to maintain my healthy lifestyle in 'maintenance' mode for the long run. I am writing this sitting in our van in the parking lot of a Hospital 800 miles from home where my MIL has just been moved from ICU to a regular room after experiencing a stroke a few nights ago. It has helped immensely that SparkFriends have offered their prayers and support now as well as supporting me all along in the pursuit of my goals. I think that support is the binding key in the SparkPeople community (along with all the great staff and the tools available to us).
So thank you SP Class of March 14-20, 2010, thank you SparkPeople Staff, thank you to all of my other SparkTeams, and especially, thank you to all of my SparkFriends!!! I am healthier, happier, and better able to cope with all of Life's ups and downs than I was just two years ago...

Do you still say to others that you started SP during this week?
Are you using this date as a marker or a milestone?
Does it help you get motivated when you see the progress you have made since March of 2010?
Post something that you still do since you started maintaining new healthy lifestyle.
