I'm a member of another online program called FLYLady (FLY stands for Finally Love Yourself). It help you keep your house (and life) un-cluttered, clean, and shiny, 15 mins at a time. It reminds me so much of the SparkProgram, with the baby-steps and postivity.
Anyway, on her website, it actually has the phrase "Progress, Not Perfection", and I wrote that in the Spark book that I'm reading.
It also says that "Imperfect housework still blesses the home", I also believe that can be applied to weight loss and healthy lifestyle changes, somehow.
What you are today is because of what you did yesterday. What you do today will make you who you will be tomorrow. "Don't let what you can't do interfere with what you can do"-John Wooden
couldn't help noticing that our tickers are identical........well, they would be if only I could get mine to work properly. Everybody here talks about loosing pounds yet they all show their weight in kilos. I think they do that just to confuse me.....and it works
how's your day going?

Progress is a nice word, but change is its motivator and change has enemies. Robert F. Kennedy
I love that! and it really helps me to feel better this week. I'm having an "off" week - not exercising as much as I want to - BUT, I'm still eating right, getting all my water in, and staying active as much as I can. A few weeks ago, I would have just given in, pigged out, and figured if I can't be perfect with my plan, why do anything... NOT THIS TIME! Progression, not perfection.
"Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending."
That is so true Happyone perfection is unattainable but sometimes when people mess up especially when it comes too our health we go back to our old patterns instead of taking it a day at a time and keep moving forward, glad you liked the post.
I was watching "Meet the Browns" last night and Cora was upset about trying to lose weight. The part I like the most is when she said, God doesn't expect perfection just progression. That is such a true statement in so many ways, not just my spiritual outlook, but my physical too. So today I'm progressing towards a healthy body not a perfect one!
