I really cleaned the back part (storage) of our basement out and bought some plastic bins for items. I re-finished an old dresser with chalk paint and have another wall hanging project in the wings for my basement walls downstairs. Lots of projects with little time to do them equals loooooong stretches of time before they're done.

I believe in myself, I am a strong woman. I will reach my goals, NOTHING & NOBODY will hold me down. I will live my life with integrity and intention. I will set a good example for my daughters and my son. I will be a woman that makes my grand children proud when they look at pictures of me long after I've left this earth.

My recent goal is to purge closets in preparation for a yard sale our neighborhood is having in April. Unbelievable how much "stuff" is in hidden corners of the house! My cleaning spree has inspired my husband to clean out his garage area; whew! Lots more room.

February brings a goal to watch less television - listen to more music and read my Kindle more.

Stay inspired!!!! Pat

1 1/2 years ago I started my goal of letting my hair grow out all gray; this month I reached that 1 1/2 yr goal............now I know what it would look like. Yesterday I got my hair colored again. While the gray was pretty, it did make me look older and washed out all the time. Back to coloring!

2 wedding collages are done and up on the wall. Got the pictures for my g-daughters photo album. I need to organize the pics (close to 100) and actually order some more :-) So glad to have those 2 projects behind me. There's always more goals to add!

Happy Sunday, Pat

I have to find my list of goals that I constructed when I first started SP and the annual updates thereafter. It wasn't just about weight for me and I know I've reached a lot of those goals. It's important to re-set goals every so often. Time to do it again.

My Number 1 goal these days is to sit down and compile pictures to start a photo album for my 18 month old granddaughter. I value pictures - they are so important for family members as we get older. Time goes so quickly and pictures are a tangible re-connection with the past for us all.

Have a great day everyone, Pat emoticon

I'm going to reach Level 19 today - can't believe it! I remember when I started with SP and saw other members at level 17 or 18 and thought "it'll take me forever to get there". I don't know where that time went but I've learned so much by being on this site.

Have a great day everyone! Pat emoticon

On 5/6/2012, I said:

"Earn 500 'Fitness Minutes.'
Give up one food for a week. Change or add to that food the next week."

I'm very close to 500 Fitness minutes (475?) for May.
I made a "No ice cream" rule and only stuck to that for about five days. However, I have NOT had emoticon , emoticon OR emoticon ! That should count, right??

thanks for my picnic basket goodie - well- goals - so far i have been very good on my water intake and have cut way back on coffee. of course the warm weather certainly helps with that. i have stuck to ONLY WHAT IS ON MY SHOPPING LIST and therefore - very little temptation around - so i have snacked less and when i do snack - choices are healthy .
i have not done all the exercise planned -
so that is one thing i really have to work on.
i also have not reached my expectations for weight loss - consistent weight loss should be a minimum of one pound per week - and i will still aim for that.
so - i think i have improve d- but not nearly enough. BB emoticon
ps also have gotten the garden planted - looking forward to reaping the benefits - emoticon

Last month, I said,

"My Short-Term Goals:
Eat at least one serving of fruit per day
Lose 5 more pounds over the next month
Exercise for 30 minutes X 3 days per week
Record ALL Nutrition X 1 day per week or more."

I think I met the "Exercise for ... per week" but that's all. Maybe I should concentrate on a shorter list. Here are my goals for May 2012:

Earn 500 "Fitness Minutes." emoticon
Give up one food for a week. Change or add to that food the next week. emoticon

I've been steadily working on my goals and doing well with all of them except reaching my goal weight by April (months almost over and I actually put some weight back on). I realize I can't do it all. Work, and life in general, has been demanding and I've had to do a lot of adjusting and readjusting but am back on track with food/exercise.

Have a great day, Pat

With Hubby's new health issues we are planning and eating much better dinners - this has helped me with getting in a healthier mindset as far as eating. We are doing pretty good with our new food goals.

Exercise is still very limited, but I won't give up!

Goal is to continue losing slowly - 1 pound a week - while my knee is recovering and I can't walk/run. Also do upper body workout 3x a week and continue with baby steps to spring cleaning. Work this month on finishing some projects in my sewing basket - and big goal - paint the master bathroom and hall bathroom - one at a time of course!!

Great Idea Pat.

My goals are simple because I can't determine if my back is going to let me do much in the way of exercise. I have been giving some simple floor exercises and I have a goal to make sure those get done the required 3 days a week, but I will try for four. I will also keep going to the chiropractor and give the decompression time to work it;s magic. If I get any relief I hope to walk at least around the block too, but I will wait and see how the treatment goes first.

I'd like to keep this "spot" available for goal updates and discussion. Post here if you'd like to put your daily, weekly or monthly goals in writing, share your thoughts and "plan of attack" so-to-speak. No pressure! Just another way for us to share along our journeys emoticon

March goals update: I didn't lose any weight; stayed the same. Given the stress of this past month, I'm okay with that. continued working on the family photo gallery and got some pictures/decorating done in my "Pat Cave". Also, I got pictures of my grand daughter (framed and album) to my Mom. I've continued to pay additional towards my car loan and am close to paying it off! I've been reading but didn't meet the goal of 15 minutes every day but have fit in reading when I could. I was trying to conquer the habit of cuticle nibbling and have made some progress.

Goals for April: Lose at least 2 lbs.; continue to read/finish the book I'm currently reading; continue working on family photo gallery; pay down the car loan - of course, continue on the path of tracking exercise, water and food. Pat
