I have lost an inch on my waist, and inch on my hips, and a half inch on each biceps. I measured two weeks ago. I haven't lost weight, yet. That's next.

Hello? Knock knock! Is anyone home?
How are you doing?
Two months down in 2013. How do you stand?

Personally, I am definitely a work in progress, and taking a chisel and doing the work is hard. Let's work together and encourage each other to make this happen.

Hi everyone! emoticon I've been very very active on SP; it's just been mostly on another team that I'm particularly active with. Since our "class date," over a year ago, I had been exercising consistently and just eating OK, so not really losing any weight. Then I recommitted a couple of weeks before our One-Year Sparkaversary to really get down to Tracking my food. Well the pounds started to immediately come off!

emoticon

I lost eleven pounds in about eleven weeks and got to my goal weight just this past Thursday on March 31st!

emoticon

I'm leaving on a cruise in 5 weeks, so for those weeks I am concentrating on keeping at my goal (or maybe losing a couple of "cushion" pounds) and seeing how I may need to adjust my calories and/or fitness to do that.

Continued success to everyone!!

***Leslie on Cape Cod***

Sometimes it's not easy to get motivated to workout or go to the gym. But when I am finished, I have NEVER once said, "Gee, I wish I didn't do that."

Florida sounds great right now. We're expecting snow. It is hard eating out. I had lunch with a friend on the spur of the moment and had a grilled chicken salad. It ended up having 600 calories! I usually check the nutrition info on the website before I go, but didn't have a chance this time. So, to eat out and still lose a pound is fantastic! emoticon

I just got back from a week in Florida. I was very afraid that I would gain. I did try to eat sensible, and I was active. But eating out every meal is very dangerous, and the calorie counts are uncontrollable. Well I weighed in today, and I lost one pound. I'm pleased

Thank you, Moira. It took some time, but I did it! I find it hard to build up my stamina also, but I just keep working at it. I do see some good coming from it. I have a treadmill, so the weather does not bother me, although I will walk outside when it's nice. It's always good to know you're not alone. I'm adding you as a friend and look forward to see us both making progress. Just taking baby steps.

Zelda You are in ONEDERLAND, that is the way to go emoticon That is my first mini goal emoticon

I have to improve my cardio also but it is slow going emoticon . I was ill this past year and became so inactive that I was nothing short of a slug. I maintained the weight loss, but it is so difficult to build up the stamina to do a good cardio workout. I've been able to build up to about a 2-3 mile walk most days, and when it is too cold or inclement to go out, I use the WII programs. I getting there and I'm proud of the results so-far emoticon
Keep up the good efforts

Hello....I've gone back and forth and am now feeling very committed to the program. I am looking to pick up my cardio and burn some more calories each week. I love the calendar on the Spark page. I realized I was not consistent enough and could make better progress than I was. Hope to see more active users with the group although I have not been doing my share.

Hello???? Is anyone there? We need some activity here. Most of you have gotten near or at your goals, but you won't stay there if you are not keeping yourselves involved mentally. Come back on line and share how it has been going. I'm still waffling, but I'm keeping the original 136lbs off, and now I'm ready to tackle the second half. Eventually I need to loose another 69lbs. Hope to talk soon

B - I'm here. I've been wondering that myself. Where did everyone go? I'm so excited that our Spark-versary is just around the corner. I really wanted to connect with everyone and find what worked, what didn't and how everyone was doing. Hopefully, they'll stop by the team page. Thanks for checking in!

Where is everybody? I was thinking today about the fact that our anniversary is just a few days away. I've decided to make an honest attempt to get back to my goal weight by my sparkiversary! Will take a lot to get me that motivated, but that's my goal. B

I got down to 139 pounds and went from a size 20 to a size 10. I can't remember my first accident, but the second one I fell in the middle of the night, walking home from the grocery last April or May and hurt my ribs. I literally couldn't breath. They did X-Rays on my wrist, elbow and ribs and sent me home with pain pills, codeine I think. I took a week off work, and at least two months off exercise. Then I was told I needed surgery and because it involved my gallbladder, I wasn't to eat any fat or gas producing foods. I delayed it till the Thurs. before Thanks Giving so I could have 10 days off work by only taking 5 days off. Meanwhile, they fed me nothing but sugar and cream of wheat for the 3 days I was in the hosp. (The surgery didn't go as planned, so had to have another, and while in there they did a hernia repair.) I have a 25 pound weight lifting limit, and I work as a custodian lifting heavy trash over my head all night, which has had to be adjusted for the last month from my usual routine. It's very hard to remember not to pick up a simple mop bucket full of water to dump into the sink! I still seem to be lifting too much every now and then and pulling the stitches inside, which the Doc said would take a couple months to heal. So I seem to spend all my down time sleeping and hurting. I haven't started exercising again except for walking fast here at work, at least when I have the energy. The Doc said the reason I have no energy is cause I'm OLD! And the older you are, the longer it takes to recover from the surgeries and anesthesia and morphine, and meds they sent me home with. Well, I'm tired of waiting. Looking at the calendar, it's going to be another month before I feel like myself again. What a bummer! I'm afraid to weigh myself because I'm back up to a size 14 pants, which really disturbs me since it's all on my belly (I'm an apple shaped person) and I don't know what I can do at this point in time without hurting myself. So there it is, feelings of complete failure, even though I'm still down 59 pounds from where I started. It's the sugar, I know it is, because I still can't eat fats without pain, and I tend to load up on fruits as I haven't restarted my veges yet for fear of more gas and pain.
