Well just got done with breakfast and now I am getting ready to do some laundry and cleaning cause tomorrow is Easter and I want the house to look nice. With 6 kids they love leaving their toys and stuff all over the place. Better start getting busy will check back later....

I been so busy this week between three birthdays and paying bills and grocery shopping and gardening that I haven't had much time to go online. Plus having the kids home till the 13th as they have off for spring break/Easter break. I been going to bed earl too which isn't like me. I am finally able to come online and say hi to all my good friends. I hope everyone is having a nice Easter weekend. We got each one of the kids a chocolate bunny for Easter as they getting too old for baskets. As for Easter dinner well I am making Ham, Scallop potatoes, Yam, Green beans. and hubby is making his favorite dish kasha varnishkes. Plus he brought a nice cake for Easter too. So we already for Sunday. What is everyone else making? We having the in laws over so that be nice you know. Well wishing everyone a nice weekend and Easter. Hope all is well.Good night I am off to watch some TV before going to bed..

Sorry I been MIA just been busy with the family, Well I am doing much better and haven't use the inhalers since I finish all the meds from the hospital. I really don't know what was causing my attacks. Sure wish I knew.My weakness is night time snacking too. So I went out and brought greek yogurt and fruit for when I am hungry. So far it been helping. I have either one before going to bed and I am good. My other problem is I like to skip meals a lot. I am not for breakfast really so I normally skip it. As long as I have my coffee I am good to go. But I was told you need to eat breakfast so I went out and got some grapefruit so I now been having a half with my coffee. It a learning process you know. I need to start drinking more water but I don't.
As for the kids and hubby, they all doing good and well. The kids been enjoying the nice warm weather we been having. We been letting them get wet a lot. Hubby been enjoying grilling out doors.

Just checking in with everyone,

Went to the doctors and he said I am doing good he didn't hear any wheezing in my chest which was good news. So he wants me to only use the inhalers when needed. But he does want me to figure what triggers me to have an attack. He said it could be smells, cold weather,pets, smoke etc. Other then that I am doing good. So hubby took me out for bunch it was just the two of us. Which it as nice having us time you know. Hope all is well with everyone else.....

Today it is nice outside it feels good being able to get out an about. /today we surprising our daughter Tiffany at her school for a birthday party in her class. We bring cupcakes and juices.
Nothing new to report. Still doing good and I finish my meds the the Er dr gave me. So far still haven't needed the inhalers much only once during the whole day which isn't bad. Before I was using them all day long. .I am doing good with my eating too. Staying within calories range. I just wanted to check in and said hi. Hope all is well with everyone else....

Morning Well it 6:16 am here and I am up getting the kids in the shower for school. I am feeling great and bless. Our daughter Tiffany had a great time yesterday. She got a new bike and roller skates. Can't believe she 8 already. Kids are growing up so fast you know. Just wanted to check in. I am enjoying a nice cup of coffee while the kids get ready for school. They like taking their showers in the mornings cause it wakes them up lol. Spent my Saturday outside with the kids and it was nice out. Today we suppose to be getting rain. I sure hope not cause Today is my daughter Tiffany birthday she turn 8 and we having a small family get together. I am doing much better and the meds are working. I haven't been needing the inhalers much either. the only thing I use was the Nebulizer twice this week since being home. Hubby says that good. I been drinking plenty of water and snacking on fruits and eating 3 meals ad 3 snacks everyday. I am on a 1800 calories plan. It must be working cause my clothes are fitting looser. Wishing everyone a happy Sunday.....

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I been MIA, Been dealing with a lot of health problems. Came down sick last week and ended up in the hospital for 4 days with pneumonia and trouble with my asthma. I just came home this past Tuesday evening. Spent the whole day resting and I am starting to feel some what better today. Still under doctors orders to rest and take it easy for the next couple of days. The hospital weigh me in at 262.3 on Saturday. When I left on Tuesday I was 251.2. They put me on more meds and a Nebulizer. I am still not 100% but I a just glad to be home. Jut wanted to stop by and say hi and that I was thinking about all of you's.

Hope Everyone is doing well and keeping warm for these who in the storm area with iced and snow.

Hello, weight-in today, It's official, I am out of the 300, My weight today is 295, my start weight was 340 I have released 45 pounds ! emoticon emoticon

Walking 4 miles a day, strength training 30 min , and 1 hour Zumba. It is setting these extra stored calories on fire. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Thank you for the shout out,Im down another pound so its 39. Don't deny yourself treats but work them in your plan, and when you share a high calorie food, you can cut the calories, and still enjoy your treat. I am glad you are feeling better, sorry you had to give away your cats. No snow down here, in Alabama, it only comes maybe every 8-10 years and then our whole city shuts down, if we get 2-3 inches, its so funny. Take care and you doing some steps is better than none at all keep pushing, we are here for you.

Way to go on losing 38 lbs. Keep up the good work.. I love the goal of keeping 7 chocolates and using them for a daily treat.

Well not much going on with me just been relaxing with the family and enjoying the weather. I donít know what going on with me but I been doing a lot of napping lately. Today I took a nap for 3hrs and I woke up with TOM boy do I hate when that happens. I am doing much better with my breathing since we gave away two of our cats. I havenít had anything that really triggering my coughing either so I am happy. I been using my inhalers less this week with is great. I havenít done much walking this week. So my steps will be on the low side. Did anyone get hit with that bad blizzard? I know my son did as he lives in Elmira NY. Spoke to him the other day and it was very cold and in the minus. Well hope everyone had a great week and weekend.

If you like to snack plan for it and pre-make calorie controlled healthy snack, lots of Ideas on Sparkpeople and most are under 100 calories, and can be made ahead. I was a night snacker, I had to start going to bed earlier to stop the muchin, and if your house is full of unhealthy snacks, get them out of your house donate to family friends, our if you have children, your child's teacher, and tell her to feel free to share with other staff members. Get a container to put tempting things out of site and out of reach, leave fruit in a clear bowl on the counter, you will be amazed how other family members catch on, and in my house they remind me when the bowl of fruit is almost empty. Just ideas that have been working in my house, and just passing them along. We can do this. It's a great thing you jumped back on track, good job.

Started out good today. Night time... My nights are horrible!! I couldn't stop eating... first i ate sweet peppers and drank some water. Then came the chips. Then the peanut chews. UGH!!!!
Going to try this again. Doing well so far.. Will post later w/ the update.

Hi Divas!! I started a challenge yesterday. So far, I'm doing well. I only added 1 tsp sugar to my coffee instead of 2, drank lots water today, eating right and posting. I didn't make it to the gym today.
I NEED TO STAY AWAY FROM CANDY, COOKIES AND BREAD!!!! Didn't have any today. So far so good.

I had to learn this. If its a kid's party, no matter what age, do an active game, and have little prizes for everyone that gets in on the fun. Get a group dance going, get a race going, play scavenger hunt, or make shift CSI, the point is chose the healthiest options, keep moving most of the time, plan out your meals emoticon emoticon some what, and bring low cal option if you can if not try not to eat seconds.
The added calories will be on your body, long after the party and the music stop.

I struggle with this but this has helped me and I am now 38 pounds down.

P.S. the chocolates, keep 7 and give away the rest, and reward yourself a daily treat for keeping your other goals, and track it in your tracker. Sharing high calorie food makes it lower in calories. emoticon emoticon

Just checking in with everyone, Hope all is well and everyone is keeping warm.

I had two birthdays parties to go to and both had pizza and cake and snow cones. I know that I went off plan. I also have another birthday coming up on the 7th. I swear all these birthdays is killing my eating habit. I am trying to eat healthy but it not easy you know.
Then my hubby came home with a big monkey and big box of chocolates for valentines days. I know he meant well and his heart was in the right place. He wanted to spoil his wife gotta love him. I ate 6 chocolates so far today. :(
Other then that things are good here. It a bit cold outside as we only got in the 50 here. Our lows been in the 30's. I pack up all summer clothes and put them away as it just too cold to wear.

Hi just checking in, We went to my father in law birthday today and had chicken with peppers and pasta. I didn't eat too much pasta. I had a small piece of cake.
Today I didn't really eat much cause of the running around we did. So I know I have to eat more. Skipping meals isn't good. I need to work on that. Having just lunch and dinner isn't enough.

Well Yesterday I did something wild and shave the side of my hair on one side only. I wanted a new look. I love it and so does hubby and my kids. I will post a pic of my new hair style. Anyway, I am trying to get back on track with the program after being sick with the flu for 4 days. I still have a stuff up head but I am able to walk around and try to get stuff done. Yea my hubby did his best to keep the house clean and he watch the kids and all. But I am a clean freak and very picky on how I like things lol. So I did some cleaning and laundry today. I can't wait till we get our money in either tomorrow or Tues so we can go food shopping. I want to get back to eating low carb again. I notice in the morning I am not hungry at all. I am not a breakfast person for some reason. So I am only eating lunch and dinner and to snacks.
Well it kind a warm outside today we reach the mid 60's. I hope it says all week long I hate the cold weather. My oldest son who 22 called me and he suppose to be getting snow. I was like you can keep it up there in Elmira, NY. He doing good and keeping warm. He calls me once a month to let us know he okay.
As for the rest of my kids well they all doing good and getting big. Karlton who is 13 is very smart in Math and Science and he loves sports. He is coming out of his shell and acting like a teen. I swear my daughter Jen who is 11 keep getting taller every day. Bre who is 10 is very smart and loves being a tom boy lol. Cameron who is 9 loves to joke and act chilly. He is doing very well in reading. Tiffany who is 7 is also smart and doing her best. She loves to dance and sing. Makayla who is 6 is a mommy and daddy girl she wants to go where ever we go.
Well things been going great with hubby as we talking and communicating more. He dealing with depression and a lot of pain and his diabetes. But I am glad he trying to communicate more.
He also trying to support me in my weight loss as he knows I get frustrated when I don't lose weight and right now all I seem to do is gain and lose and gain and lose lol. I really do miss exer cising but until I can get my breathing under control so I am not having wheezing attracts doctor said no exercising. Just to watch what I eat and drink and limit my sugar and carbs by just eating healthy. So that what I am trying to do. Thanks for letting me rant on and on..

Sorry I been MIA but this flu got a hold of me and I been sick for three days straight, Not able to eat but soup really and sleep all day. This is the first I been out of bed. Boy do I feel like I been hit by a truck lol. Thank god I have a hubby who doesn't mind being Mr Mom. He even made me some homemade chicken noodle soup. Just wanted to check in...

Hi Sandy,
Lol since you are the only one I ever see in here. I think that if you weighed yourself with clothes on at his office then his scale probably added 5 pounds that's what they used to do for us when I was in the Air Force take 5 pounds off for clothes.
I pray that your breathing gets much better for you. I started going to the gym a couple of weeks ago doing couch to 5k it's been going pretty good I like it. I also lift to tone up some and I use Kettle Bells and the medicine ball at home. I really not sure how much weight I have lost my starting weight was 262 I think I have lost 7 pounds since I last weighed in.
My mini goal is to lose 20 pounds by March
stay within my calorie range 1200 calories
to stop eating so much sweets and so many carbs.
Well here is to both of us reaching our goals.

Try Mrs Dash for seasoning she has a lot of seasoning's and there is no sodium in them that' what my trainer (when I had one) had me use.

Hi Everyone, Well just came back from the doctors he wanted to see how my breathing was doing and he gave me two breathing treatments as I was wheezing really bad and my level was on the low side. He put me on another inhaler which last longer. So now I will be on three of them. He also weigh me and I was 250 I was like but the scale I use at home read 247. He said his is right and mines may be off. He also notice that my fingers was swollen and he said it from too much sodium. He want me to watch my sodium intake and the foods I eat. He also said to eat no more than 1200 to 1500 in calories daily and to drink more water. He also said no high impact exercise like treadmill, elliptical or anything that going to make me winded or get out of breath. So I have to keep it on the low side. He said I have to learn how to balance my weight and sodium and inhalers so I donít keep gaining any more weight. Easy said than done you know. So now I am going to have to web search low sodium foods and recipes that I can eat and low impact exercises. Well figure I let you all know what the doctor said. Hope all is well with everyone else.. So guess my new weight is 250 lbs..

Morning well I am sitting here watching it rain like crazy here. Yea it pouring hard out side today. So far it been a good morning. I woke up feeling good and ready for today.
I made some eggs and bacon for the kids and I to eat this morning and they wanted toast I said no toast just eggs and bacon today. I am trying to figure out what I want for dinner and I don't have a clue yet.
Well better get going as I need to do my girls hair a couple of them have really bad knots in their hair so I need to remove them which takes time. I hate when they get matted knotted hair.

Well I am still here but don't think any one else is cause it seem like we the only two left on this team lol. Even the leader not here any more.

Morning well sitting here having some cottage cheese and ham slices for breakfast with coffee figure I come check in with all of you. I am not really into eating breakfast so figure something lite would be okay. It the point that I am at least eating something you know.
Today I am gonna watch my girl go skating and cheer them on. They at the grand parents for the weekend and figure it be nice to surprise them at the skating rank.
Saw on our news that we suppose to be getting some rain this weekend too. I hope so cause we need it they said.
I can't believe it already 2015 and boy are the kids getting big and grown so fast. My oldest is 22 and my youngest is 6. I have 7 total times sure do go fast. I feel very old sometimes lol.
Well I do know I am gonna try my best to lose weight this year. I know I have a long road ahead but I can do it one day at a time. I refuse to let the meds I am on stop me. I can do this. So my first mini goal is to lose 10 lbs by the end of Feb. My second mini goal is to stay within calories range. My third and final mini goal is to limit my carbs and sugar.....

Spent my day in the ER again for this dame cold and infection I have cause I woke up wheezing really bad and was having trouble breathing. Now they thinking I may have COPD I really hope not. Got to go see a specialist now

Sorry I been MIA just been too busy to log on as we getting ready for the holidays.Well it been 7 weeks since I last smoke I am so proud of myself cause the last time I smoke was Oct 3 rd. Now only if I can get this weight to go down I swear I am eating healthy and the scale not moving but up.. But I wont give up that for sure...

Happy Friday well not much going on here just relaxing and enjoying the weather. Feel so good not to be coughing and wheezing you know guess the meds are working. Today makes five weeks of not smoking yea. I am so very proud of myself. One of my daughters has a friend coming over to visit for a bit and then two of the kids are waiting for their grandparents to come over as they going for the weekend to their house. So we will only have four kids this weekend. I finally finish cleaning our bedroom and it looks so much better then before. I just don't like clutter you know. I am going to focus on my health and getting well first. Then I will focus on losing weight. I am going to take one day at a time and keep taking my meds and eating healthy. So that is my Nov goals for now....

I had to go to the doctors. I been having problems with coughing spells and tightening of the chest and wheezing badly. The doc says I have Allergic Asthma due from my allergies which has gotten worst. He also said If you have allergic asthma, your airways are extra sensitive to certain allergens. Once they get into your body, your immune system overreacts. The muscles around your airways tighten. The airways become inflamed and over time are flooded with thick mucus which bring on coughing spells. So he has giving me medicine for it. So I have to watch how much I exercise so I donít trigger it. So I have to plan a new plan with watching what I eat instead of exercises. So it gonna take me longer to lose the weight. I am still wheezing a little. He put me on QVAR and ProAir HFA and Zithromax and Promethazine. I am not use to taking so much meds. Well gonna go lay back down for a bit hubby says I have to rest. Talk more soon.

Well not much going just relaxing. Last night I made stream spaghetti squash for dinner.Instead of pasta I had squash with meatballs and sauce. I love spaghetti squash and so does my kids.
Still doing great with not smoking as it day 21 and I'm going strong. I even lost another pound which feels great. Hope everyone is having a good Friend....

Things are good haven't had any pains lately. But I been taking it very slow and easy. I been only walking for exercise. I just don't want another strained or pull muscle you know. I been watching what I eat and drink and staying within calorie range. I am on day 19 already of not smoking and it feels great. I am just taking one day at a time...

Morning well just getting up and feeling much better today. I made up my mind I am gonna leave the scale alone for awhile instead of weighing myself every single day cause it just drive me crazy. I have gain weight like crazy. Every time I get a chance to work out I re-injured my pull muscle and ended up laid up for a few days. It like my body doesnít want me to exercise. I am 47 and I am finding it very hard to lose weight. I donít have menopause cause I get a monthly every month. But my stomach also look like I am pregnant as well. I hate when someone comes up to you and ask when you due. When I started this journey I was 280 lbs back in 2009 and I work so hard to get myself down to 184 lbs yea it took me till 2011 But I did it. Here I am today weighing in at 248 lbs none of my jeans fit anymore. I went from a size 22/24 down to 14. Now I am back into a size 20/22. My husband I so tired of me dieting and trying new things he at the point enough is enough he told me no more diets or exercise. I am so unhappy and depressed because I fall off track. I am frustrated too. All I can do is keep trying and not give up. We can do this one day at a time.

Well at least I am doing good with not smoking as it been 11 days now

I am starting to feel so much better. I also notice the difference in my breathing too. Day eight and doing good. Well I had a girly day yesterday and went out and got my hair done and nails done. When I try to get back on track by exercising I ended up pulling a muscle or something. I did one of my fitness videos called total body cardio fix and now my side is killing me to the point I was in the ER for it. I swear can things get any worst. It like my body telling me not to exercise you know.

well spent last night in the er again from 1 am to 7 am i was having pains on my side to the point it hurt to walk,lay.sit so they ran test and cat scan they said it could be anything they really dont know why i am in pain. as for my chest being so tight i need to quit smoking. so i havent had any cigs since last night. they gave me something for the pain in my iv and boy did it make me sleep i just woke up believe it or not.

Well I need to find what works for me. The problem is I don't even know anymore. At one time I was very active and exercise 5 times a week. Now I am lucky to even get one or two times a week. Now I am either on the go running around like a chicken without a head lol. Or I am so tried that I just don't have any energy. I have 6 kids from ages 6 to 13 to look after. My husband had a setback where he in a wheelchair now due to his bad knees as his ACL in both knees are getting worst for him to stand.So he needs help walking,getting in/out of a tub and being push around in the chair and getting dress. I don't mind helping cause he my husband. I am glad to help. But it can be very stressful at times. Like today he had to see a PT and he couldn't even stand without being in a lot of pain. Between his diabetes and his knees hes in so much pain that nothing helps. We even downsize in pets cause it was just too much. It very had on my husband cause he feels like he not doing enough and his disability isn't enough either. He keeps telling me that I can do better and I need to find someone who works. I keep telling him I love you and we a team.. But I do understand where he coming from. Today we also got help with food and clothing and I couldn't believe I was back in a size 20 jeans again. I was so mad at myself. He said I am sexy at any size. So I got to find the time to focus on me some how. Thanks for listing team. I just got to find the motivation again.Sandy

Hi Team, I swear I am just so beat and drained from all these appointments and running around. I can't even focus on me really. Last week we had three doctors appt and blood test all for hubby. The week before we had to pick up all the kids glasses from the eye doctor and going to the vet for shots for out dogs. I am just so glad to be home relaxing. Well trying to anyway with kids it had to relaxed. I step on my scale only to see a weight gained. I just don't know anymore. I just can't seem to get focus and stay on track. Something has to change cause I really don't want to be back up to that 280 mark. I got to find a way to handle stress and life.

Just stopping by to say hi and to say I am still here. just been busy.. Hope all is well, Have a great weekend...

Morning,
Well first off My son did go on his trip and now he in Big Bear, Ca till Sunday.
Second, Boy It hot here as hell we been hitting over 100 this week and now that it the weekend it even hotter right now we 99 and its only 10am. They said we going up to 115.
Third, we only have three kids home so it not too bad.
Four, Things are going good with all of us and I am focusing on me again.

Evening everyone, The kids are in bed and I can finally relaxed. Been running around today cause my son who in middle school has a weekend field trip and they need a some papers filled out by the doctor on his meds. So we drop them off the other day and we went back today to see if they were done so he could go. They claim they would fax them Fri morning to the school.. I hope so cause he really wants to go. The field trip is about leadership.
Grand parents are taking two kids for the weekend as well so that only leave us with three kids this weekend. So the house going to be quiet. I told hubby maybe we can do some cleaning and uncluttered. We just have too much stuff. Gonna say good night. Hope everyone had a great day...

Well been on the go all week and finally got to relax on the weekend. It been very warm here like in the 90's. I be glad when it start to cool down some. We did have rain the past couple of days but it really didn't cool down any.
As for my birthday yes it was nice and I had a good time. The kids made me stuff and my mother in law gave me a new purse. Hubby gave me a new fridge and tennis bracelet and nice plant. I had a great time and I did enjoy my day it was special. I can't believe I'm 47 boy how time fly.

Well I started my day with a 40 min walk and it felt good. Since then I been cleaning up the house and catching up on laundry. Been having three of my girl home due to ringworm that they got from rubbing against something the doctor said. So she gave them cream to use and they been home since Thursday and not allowed to go back till this Thursday.
Today we have a women coming to the house that grooms, clips birds feathers,trim their nails and beaks. We have an african grey who needs to be trim. She mobile and only charge 15 for everything.
It warm here as always so been trying to stay cool as much as I can. We still hitting 90's believe it or not.
Hope everyone is doing good and enjoying their Wednesday.
