It is very hard to get the steps in when the weather is bad. Luckily ours has turned around and I have gotten in over 10,000 steps a day since the weather changed. It would be too hard to walk back and forth in my house until I got there. I hope your weather gets much better soon.

I had 5892 steps yesterday. I find it harder to log in much over 5000 these snowy days. Guess I need to look for some new inspirations to get moving more.

I've got to find mine and dust it off. Counting the steps does leave me with a sense of accomplishments.. I haven't used it since before my surgery back in August.emoticon

Rapunzel, with your long golden hair,
Why would a pedometer NOT be allowed? I have worked in buildings requiring security clearance and a non-communication device like that was always allowed. Help me understand.

I am glad everyone is in on the challenge for the month! Try to step it up a little everyday! Get a 500-1000 more steps each day you walk! I know that we all can do it!

This is a great idea. I like counting steps because I can't always track my mileage. It does feel great when I see the 10,000 step mark.

Terrific idea!emoticon

I wear a pedometer everyday, well I might have missed a couple in the last two years I've been wearing one.
I walk a LOT at my job so I average 10,000 to 24,000 steps a day (apx.5-12 miles).
It's taken me awhile to get here that's for sure. But ya know what? It feels really good :)

Today I did 5128 steps. Starting tomorrow, I am going to do it twice, to get in the 10,000 steps I need to lose more weight...

Starting today, let us all start counting our steps, either walking or jogging and try to get as many as possible. The best is at: 10,000 and that is my goal! I will be doubling up my step routine starting tomorrow to do it too! Who is with me?

Who is up for the challenge?
