I'm not sure, I'm not an expert. However, I do know that when I first begin to exercise (the first couple of weeks) my muscles and joints hold on to water as they are repairing themselves and adjusting to the new activity level. I find that if you stick to it, the weight loss begins in about the third week. Hope this helps! Again...I'm no expert.

Hmm. I put on a pound so I wasn't too happy about that.
I've been aching in places I didn't know I had, and I just cannot jump up and down on one foot.
I've out 1.5 inches on my calves, but lost about the same on my hips. So I must be changing shape.
I'll stick at it because I like having a daily challenge. It makes the whole thing more manageable to me is smaller sized chunks.
Good luck everyone!

I am going to have to say no, not because this isn't a great workout, or that I am not doing the exercises, but I do many of these exercises 5 days a week, and others that are not shown here, so it is really not affecting my weight loss at the moment. I have added some exercises to my daily routine, that I didn't try before and that has been fun and I am less afraid of the stability ball than I was before. So all in all this has been a positive experience.

I notice a difference in energy, attitude and my body just feels tighter and smaller. I'm in same boat as last post though, bad time of month, so we'll see if there is a weight change next week. Also, I'm really close to my goal weight and the ounces come off slooooow at that point.

This bootcamp has boosted my overall exercise from roughly 20 min every day to roughly 40 min by the time I get all cario in !

No weight change (probably doesn't help I'll be getting a monthly visitor within a day or two), but I can feel a difference in my arms in particular. I think once the monthly visitor is gone, I'll see a weight difference as well.

Yeah, I've seen a change ... get this, I GAINED 2 POUNDS since last week. emoticon

I hadn't even really been doing this as part of a weight loss plan (had gained maybe 5 pounds in the last few months of being lazy), and now I've gained MORE weight? It may be my medication though. Still. emoticon

Yes! I've done all the days, videos, cardios, and missed the no caffeine day. I've lost 3 pounds!! Will measure tomorrow.

I do think I'm sleeping harder.

But the biggest thing I notice is that I've stuck with something for a week!! And that's a big deal to me. I LOVE completing the cardio and videos. Each day I do so, I feel stronger within my "self", more motivated and more proud.

I'm looking forward to Week 2!

Thanks!

Lost 1 1/2 pounds. To me it looks like my stomach is not as big/bloated as before. I didn't measure so I really don't know and hubby isn't much help, he just says that he really can't see a difference yet. I think my clothes are also fitting a little better too.

I lost 2.5 pounds this week. I did a lot of the videos in a modified fashion and was right on Days 1-4. I got a severe pain on my right side between my neck and my shoulder and that limited the rest of the week for me. I got 165 fitness minutes in that I wouldn't have and now this week I'd like to extend my streak beyond 4 days!

I haven't weighed myself yet, or done any measurements. But, my mood has been much improved - even my PMS was manageable this week, which it has not been the past few months. It was a VERY rough week at work and though I was tired, the workouts really improved my energy and mood as soon as I got home. I feel less heavy and much stronger. Loving it so far and plan to keep on going!

I've lost 2.8 pounds! I am loving it, even though I am having to modify the workout videos due to location of my computer and it's capabilities (or lack thereof) of watching a video fluidly. Eh.

I have downloaded them onto my iPod (which is SO time consuming) and bought a component that enables you to watch it on your TV! So this week will be a lot easier to manage! Yay technology!

1st off: BESSHAILE great topic, I thought about starting a similar one myself! :)

- I lost 3.6 lbs this week but I'm sure a lot was due to water weight and I hope to lose 2 lbs a week at most. I'm also fighting a bad cold and food just isn't tasting as good as usual.
- I'm sleeping better.
- I feel like I'm paying more attention to my body during the strength sessions. I usually do the whole body 2-3x a week so splitting up the body parts like this has been an eye-opener in certain respects.

I'm down 4.5 lbs. Couldn't be happier. Does anyone know another group like this with videos and daily challenges that goes past the 4 weeks?

I'm down 3.2 lbs, lost an inch in my hips and 1.25 inches in my waist. I'm making exercising a priority and becoming more mindful of what I'm eating. This week, I was able to complete the entire cardio video without stopping, but still needed to make some low-impact modifications. Maybe next week I'll be able to do the video twice!

Here's the change I've noticed. It's been mostly mental. I am focused. this bootcamp challenge has really put my head back in the game. AND i won the spark book. I am thrilled about that. I would write that in all caps, but didn't want to annoy anyone. YAY to everybody on their first week toward success.

Getting better and better every day,

I've done the abs workout today, cause I didn't get chance yesterday - wow that's going to hurt tomorrow!
Lost a pound this week - really pleased cause i've gone over my calories at least 3 times this week

2.2 pounds and inches off my waist and hips. What I'm most proud of is that I spent three days on the road this week and I still got bootcamp and cardio in, and ate healthy foods. I usually gain weight on business trips!

I weigh in on Wednesdays for the Winter BL Challenge, so hopefully I'll see a good number there. I did notice that the cardio video was easier for me this week. I'm almost at my goal weight, so I really need this to fire me up and get rid of these last 9 pounds!!

When I started Spark Your Body Bootcamp I had been sitting at a Plateau for months, so I decided that I was going to follow it perfectly and for my 30 minute Cardio a day I was going to start P90X, and I was going to stop looking at my Calories, Fat and Carb number and pay attention to the percentages of each and follow what Jillian Michaels recommended for me. It ended up that I would wake up and do the SP Video and then I would usually walk on my lunch break at work (I am at only about 5 miles a week) and then I would come home and do the P90X, although it is a strenuous program it makes me feel so good that I can usually get through 40 minutes (except Ab Ripper LOL I can do 5 minutes) I also have been tracking my food the day before so it is planned out. This morning I woke up and I weighed myself and I have lost 8 pounds this last week and a total of 5 overall inches. Maybe it is my body catching up after such a long plateau or maybe it will keep going strong with consistent weightloss and loss of inches, I am not going to focus on that. I am going to take each day as it comes and do the routine that I am doing. I am finding muscles in my body I didnt know I had, I am finding strength to have a full life and still make time for me, and I realizing that inside I am happy. So today I have something to smile about because I worked hard last week and I deserve every pound gone and every inch lost.

Amaze Yourself.

No difference in my weight, but my clothes are a little looser. I don't expect to actually see the scale drop until the end of the month. No matter what happens, I'm going to keep going!

I lost a pound and a few inches...The biggest thing I'm noticing though is that I am making the exercise a priority when before if I was a little too tired I would say, "oh, I'll do it tomorrow"...so this is a great change for me. I hope to make this a habit after bootcamp is over...

According to my scale, I have lost 5 lbs. I'm sure a lot of that is water even though I take an RX water pill daily due to edema of lower legs & hands. But that is enough ecouragement to KEEP ON GOING!!!

I don't believe my tape measure though, because it says I lost:
1/2" in my bust
1-1/2" in my waist
1-1/2" on my hips
I know my clothes fit better emoticon but THAT much in 1 week?? I think maybe the tape measure was held too tight this time or too loose last week or something. I think I'll go re-measure.....

ANYWAY, I've lost weight and I'm eating healthier, have MORE energy, LESS stress and just FEEL SO MUCH BETTER!

SPARK PEOPLE ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!

I've read most everyones posts....KEEP UP THE FANTASTIC JOB!!! WE can do this!

I don't want to get to a particular "size", I want to get to a healthy weight for me.

I have to WANT to do this for ME and nobody else.

I've noticed a little more muscle definition in arms and my mood is definitely brighter. I gained 2.2 pounds instead of losing. I'm trying to not let that discourage me. :)

I'm proud of myself for working out every single day. I don't always look forward to it but always feel better afterwards. I have also noticed sore muscles! I forgot I even had some of the muscles I've worked out.

On to week 2. :)

I lost 3.2 pounds since last Sunday. After my first couple of workouts I thought I would die. I was so sore but I did not give up and pushed through everyday. I found as the week went on the soreness left. I am proud that I managed to complete all my workouts for the week. This group is definitely what I need to get my weight loss back on track.

I definitely feel stronger - my weight has stayed the same but then I did have a couple of dinners out this week. My legs definitely feel more toned and I lost 1/2" on my waist, an inch on my hips and 1/4 to 1/2" on thighs, so long may this continue!!

I don't know if it's my eyes deceiving me (but my clothes are as well), but I've noticed some muscle definition in my arms and my pants seem to fit around my thighs much better, even being looser. I also am sleeping better at night and seem to have a lot more energy. :) My food cravings have also shifted from my sweet tooth towards fruits and vegetables more.

Can't really tell much in the weight-loss department since my weight seems to fluctuate in a 4 pound range, but I FEEL lighter and have more energy. I also notice that by watching my eating, by the end of the week I could eat less calories and feel fine.

Other than aches and sore muscles and that sort of thing - and perhaps a new found sense of humor about your gracefulness.

The big change for me has been an increase in the water I crave - I'm drinking 10 glasses a day now.

The other thing kicked in yesterday. I found myself craving protein and being a lot more picky about whatever I did eat, looking around for more nutrition packed food, rejecting empty calories for food that will make the body feel better. Now, craving complex carbohydrates instead of cookies is a new one for me!

Anybody else notice any changes?

Believe it
