Hi all! I'm challenging myself to live a vegan lifestyle for the next six weeks. I hope to continue it afterward, but at that point I'm going to re-evaluate things and see how I feel about it all. This is only day 4 for me, but I love it so far. It's actually not much of a change to the food I prefer, but my husband has been a little disappointed with dinner this week. I'm sure he can't wait for these six weeks to be over...
If you don't have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?

Yeah and welcome! Just do what you can, I started out vegetarian and I became vegan about 6 months after that. I just started trying different things and one day realized I didn't need the dairy or the eggs.

Hello. I just joined this team today after buying the book on Monday. My family and I are vegetarian and I am wanting to move toward a more vegan diet, though at this point I'm not sure if I will ever end up being fully vegan. I find myself curious however, and with an open mind, so I will will see where that leads me. :)

yeah, i am trying to be better about that. I've had soups and salads all week for lunch, so I have been getting in my raw foods, and having a salad again with dinner most nights. Last night, we did sandwiches, portabella, basil, and tomato for me, and turkey and cheese for him. Came out great!
It is definately harder when cooking for others. I try to make easy things during the week too and leave the more difficult longer cooking items for the weekends. Try the raw foods at lunch and or nights when he cooks himself something (say sandwiches) and you cook something that looks interesting to you. We have many nights I eat something different than they do.
I'd love to do more raw food and a wider variety of foods. It's tough, because a lot of nights its easier to make a veggie burger, especially if I want my husband to eat with me. He eats most anything I make, but he perfers easy week day meals and likes the stuff that seems more like meat!
