I don't like resolutions, I like lifestyle changes. I have little goals I will set for each month or each 8-10 weeks for myself. My big picture goal is to lose 50 pounds by Christmas of this year, and to be able to grab an apple instead of a candy bar and be happy with that. It's already working quite well, husband make cake yesterday and I only ate one piece. And it wasn't all that satisfying, I got to say it's the first time in a very long time that I didn't crave at least half the cake.
1)Lose 50 pounds
2)Eat more fruits and veggies everyday
3)Exercise 30-60 minutes everyday
4)Not get out of breath walking up stairs, around the mall or playing with my kids
5)Enjoy life more again
I've already hit my mini goal for January, and plan to keep it going through February. Losing 2-3% of my current body weight each month, and exercising most everyday along with eating healthier. Wishing everyone lots of luck in this fantastic new year.
