The thing we need to keep in mind when these studies are done is who funded the study (i.e. would they benefit from the results being one way or another). I know that they say the glucosamine and choindroitin don't work for osteo-arthritis but does help me.

I have read with an article call fish oil is very good for health in improving the immune system and also helps in preventing the type 2 diabetes. Can you please assist me doctor do you suggest that to take the fish oil in which mode (tablet or direct fish). Thanks a lot to you in advance doctor, Nani
Response from Dr. Henry
Though highly promoted (many would say over promoted based on actual data), the proven benefits of fish oil taken as a supplement in the setting of HIV infection are modest at best. Recent studies of fish oil in the general population have generally been unimpressive regarding definite clinical benefit so the jury is out about the role fish oil has protecting health. Immune and diabetes benefits are not well documented. KH
