Ignoring an Italian feast? Is that even POSSIBLE???? Are you yanking my chain? ;)

Really well done! It sounds like your new mealplan is really working for you! Are you planning a reward for yourself?

CONGRATS BJ!!!! emoticon Well done!

My Jan. reportback: I have stayed on my new diet - never wavered off course at all.
Was put to the test this last weekend when we had a lunch at Italian friends, but I ate my food and ignored the multi course feast they where having!

Total lost in Jan. = 6 inches! Yay!
Running fitness improved - can run further between walk breaks

Tweaking my goals a bit. I need to quantify these goals so that at the end of the month I have some numbers to look at. Going with the 80% rule: 16 days left in the month, so 12 of those should be spot on "goal met".

Eliminating Gluten: 12 days with no food containing gluten
Avoiding Added Fats: 12 days containing less than 40gm fat
Avoid refined/added sugars: 12 days with no food containing refined or added sugars.
Eat from the blood type food list: 12 days with 80% of the food in my tracker coming from the list
Eliminate Alcohol: 12 days alcohol free

Eat real food...not too much.

Late the the game...but in the game none-the-less.

Goals for January (Its all about nutrition):
0 to little Gluten
Avoid added fats
Avoid refined sugar and be cognizant of that which is added.
Eat from the blood type food list
Start working to eliminate alcohol. (Sigh...)

Sounds like you're both off to a great start in 2012! Well done!

Eat real food...not too much.

Nice work, you! I've had a good week, too. I'm not eating as much as I like :( but I'm not hungry all the time. Weird. Normally when I try and eat 1200-1400 I'm starving constantly. I think it's partly about upping my breakfast protein, although my overall intake hasn't changed. I also think it's about no sugar. HURRAH!

We ARE rocking it! :DDD

Jan Week 1 went well!!!!
So happy with my new "diet" - fat seems to be going while I'm eating as much as I like! Yay!
Plant-based diet seems to be the solution!

Let's rock the next few weeks!

Yep! You know those sunnies I bought ages ago and said they could be my reward when I'd earned them? Yeah. They're still on the fridge. I haven't met a single goal for a year.

However, I will earn them, when at the end of January I haven't eaten any sugar for a month and I have done 10 minutes of cardio every day. I'll post a piccie of me wearing them.

Love your goals, Sam. They are very like mine! Lets rock it!

My January goals:

Nutrition goals: Stick to MWL McDougall plan (working well so far!)

Just a reminder to myself: REMEMBER "RAVE", which stands for:
NO Refined/processed foods
NO Animal foods/products
NO Veggie oils and fats
NO Exceptions! And daily Exercise!!!!

Exercise goals: Keep to 5 day a week exercise plan!
3/4 days running (slow jog with walk breaks) 5K route - build up to running full distance
(starting time (31 Dec) = 40 minutes)
1/2 days riding my mountain bike - build speed on 10k route (starting time (3 Jan) = 35 minutes)
Occasional sessions of swimming, hiking and maybe a spinning session or 2 (Keep it light and easy!!!)
Try to incorporate some weight training - but don't stress if I don't.

DON'T OVERDO IT SAMANTHA!!!!!!!
