I knew EJ from another team, the Poodle Team. I had been having problems with severe insomnia and there was no reason that I could figure out that was causing it. EJ was blogging what was in her heart and what had healed her. Not only Vitamins and Supplements, things that are in our everyday food that was literally killing every effort we could make. I learned so much and this was how I wished to live, healthy and taking the supplements and vitamins I needed to be the best me.
One day, EJ posted an article about aspartame. That wasn't the first time I had heard that word either. About 12 years ago, my then fiance said he wasn't going to drink anymore cokes because of aspartame. I didn't know what it was but I followed suit. Not realizing that it was in other things. I emailed EJ and asked her what she thought of my idea after reading her blog, that aspartame could be causing my insomnia. She told me to type into my browser "side effects of aspartame." It was a huge eye opener.
Now days, menopause has a hand in my sometimes insomnia, but it isn't aspartame I can tell you!
Anyway, EJ told me that she was going to have to leave the Poodle club because she was starting a new team, with all the breadth and depth of her considerable knowledge just like this aspartame. She asked me if I wanted to join so here I am, I think was like #4 member or so. I haven't always been active, and that has been crazy on my part because I always do much better when I'm here and focused on what I need. I do suffer from help-itis for everyone else and not so much for myself.
But I pray for all of you every day.
To Daddy's Girl: You have hit the mother lode on information here and people that are knowledgeable about how you can live healthy. Everyone single person here is so helpful and so positive! that's the ticket is to be positive and around those that are also. I don't have that in the real world but I sure have it here! My post will be a little different because unlike all the other members I was the 1st member on this team. Why? Because I started it. You may ask why did I start this team? I belonged to 3 other natural health teams and 1. There was nothing going on with the team. 2. There was NO leadership. 3. I didn't like that fact that it was a battle ground if they didn't like what you said. 4. There was no articles posted to speak of. Just a bunch of questions. 5. I was looking for a Christian team that was about Natural Health as there was none.
And that was when I decided to start my own team. Welcome to my wonderful team of friends!
Wanting to know more about the natural herbs and spices and how to use them properly
If you tell God no because He won't explain the reason He wants you to do something, you are actually hindering His blessing. But when you say yes to Him, all of heaven opens to pour out His goodness and reward your obedience. What matters more than material blessings are the things He is teaching us in our spirit. I have been on so many medications for the past 25 years or so, and not getting any better. I figured there has got to be more than "this"
The breaking point was when I was told I had Congestive Hearth Failure and had to adopt a low sodium diet. I had only recently been hooked up to the internet and did not really know how to use it, but I went searching and found Spark, but then didn't know what to do with it.
As I manouvered my way around the site, I came across this team and decided "this it IT" Been here ever since.
I thought it would be interesting to see what it was going on in your lives that drew you to this team. Was it a health problem of your own? Was it a loved one's health issue? Have you Always been interested in herbs and supplements and vitamins so you went looking for a team like that? Or did you just want to learn more?
I have a husband with a disease (Crohn's). I found a diet that helped him significantly. Then the naturopath added supplements. Both these things helped. I got into using supplements myself. I saw that I was really adding them on, and became a little worried that the things might be counter productive to one another and wanted to learn more.
I SURE HAVE!!!!
