This is AWESOME!! I just ran into this. I use Walgreens rewards ALOT. You can really work this system and save lots of money so the motivation to earn by walking and having it upload automatic is GREAT.

Water is very important for us. We may, and I do, require more than the 8 glasses a day. The link goes to a water calculator I use to see what I need for my current weight. Mt requirement has dropped 9 ounces due to weight loss. Yipee!

Awesome, I'll link mine in. Trouble is, my fitbit is shorting me as much as 2000 a day or more.

I don't take medication and don't shop at Walgreens very often but I have earned over $10 in rewards points just by posting my steps with them. I was doing it before they linked with Fitbit. Now that they are linked, I don't have to go to the site to manually enter my steps. I love it and when I get up to $20 or $40, I will shop there for something.

We use Walmart for our Rx's. They do have a $4 list of meds. Some of ours on that list but some aren't. I take 4 meds a day and for a month it costs me $15 a month for 3 of them. But one of those meds is a 3 month refill which is $10. Although Walmart wouldn't/couldn't fill the pain meds for hubby's surgery. We took those to Walgreen's. They did a one time fill on it for us.

This is very nice. When Walmart does it, I will join. I just don't go to Walgreens enough.

That's a GREAT deal with Schnucks! Unfortunately, I was one of the thousands, apparently, whose CC# was stolen from there. My brother had his debit/checking acct hacked, too.

I guess it's cash-only for me at S and I hardly carry cash. :(

I don't get into Walgreens much so I don't honestly know how to figure how to 'spend' the points but I've enjoyed the coupon aspect (instant).

I do shop at Walgreen's because there's one about 4 blocks from my house & another that I pass by work every day. The other day I stopped & picked up Pantene shampoo, Pantene conditioner, a new toothbrush & a large tube of toothpaste. After the rewards & coupons, my bill was $7.57. I also have $17.00 worth of reward points right now to use.

I did get my prescriptions filled there & really liked the extra reward points; however, my doctor's office told me that my insurance had made arrangements with Schnucks Markets to fill prescriptions with no co-pay. That has really paid off, especially with the meds I've had to have to deal with the current asthma episode. $0.00 is definitely better than $5.00 for generic

Thanks -- I signed up. We have a pharmacy in our small home town where we get all our prescriptions, but do shop at Walgreens from time to time. I like the idea of earning points for my steps! It is a nice extra.

and please tell me you did report that to the states pharmacy licensing board. That is one of the things they want to know about. years ago it was a chain store in a city that watered down cancer meds to make more money.

Speaking of prescription costs, if you are spending much at all you might want to compare prices at costco.com. You can check right online and you don't have to be a member to buy medicine there. I have mine (I take two for HBP) set up to mail to me once a quarter - I spend less now (full price) than I did on co-pays for the same meds at Wal-Mart when I was working.

Thanks for all this info, people, I have something about Walgreens to share: The first prescription I got there was for codeine cough syrup---they gave me syrup without the medicine in it; the second prescription I got there was for ear drops and they were past their expiration date. Do I dare try a third time?

Cool! I don't go to Walgreens often but when they did this rewards card, I signed up because you don't get in-store COUPONS without having one. I'd rather save a couple bucks on an item now and then. Now that I have a way of accumulating points, those 8-10 trips a year may help me, too. We'll see.

Thanks, Lily! I only get to the US once or twice a year, but adding up miles/points will be helpful with the cost of big drugstore shopping trips. I just signed up.

I'm lucky that I don't take much RX. Just something to help me sleep unless I get sick.

That said, I spent over $5k+ last year and 2 years before that due to over-training injuries, then my spine giving out. So, it's not like I'm getting off easy but since I eat pretty well (don't let's talk about Reese's and Pirate's Booty for supper last night COS I can GO there!). I have to with all the health issues in my family!

we have Tricare and walgreens is the only one who does not accept it. I would have to pay in full, which is expensive for a lot of the meds we are on and then wait weeks to get reimbursed. Even with generics it gets expensive

I'll have to go see what other stores! My insurance is such a joke, I often pay more than without.

I wouldn't know that but this year, they asked me (Target) for $4 for a script. I said, 'Oh, I have this insurance now!' They came back and asked me for $10. That's not CRAZY expensive but it's more than twice the out-of-pocket generic. I was so confused, I don't know what to do about that...

Pity I didn't sign up before today, as today's going to be an assigned REST day!

Anyway, especially for those who really log miles, get in fast. It's 20 points for every mile :)

I came into it from Walgreens newsletter but there it is on Fitbit's site, too.
