Good suggestion. I'll probably say 85, cos I'm short. Again, this is a massively-large goal for somebody who works, chained to a desk, then chained inside a car to drive to and fro work across THREE counties each day but I believe it's a GREAT aspiration!

Generally-speaking 1 mile equals roughly 2000 steps (more or less depending on your stride length, etc) so 42 miles per week would equal approximately 84k steps per week. So maybe increase your goal to 80k per week?

PERFECT, Raul!

I did email them but your instructions helped where theirs left me still confused (they said you have to manually change and I had done but didn't 'get' that I had to go under weeks).

I only have ONE MORE question:

While I *am* focusing on miles, the steps still says 70,000 (I'm not sure where that came from).
Do we have a guess what it should say if I'm at 6mi a day, therefore 42 miles a week?

I'm building up, mind you! So, it's not PRESSING that I 'fix' it but I'm curious. I assume everybody'd is different as my legs are shorter than most peoples :)

Just curious on this one. I'm happy with the miles goal being correct! emoticon

Lily, I looked at my GOALS link and it appears that they do not coordinate with the goals on your ACTIVITY section. I know that I changed mine from 70K steps per week to 125K steps per week at one time but for the life of me I can't remember where I did this! I think that the logical place was in the SWITCH GOALS link but, as of right now, it only allows me to select a different goal but I am not able to edit the goal. This might be a site issue. I will be sending a message to their Customer Service and inquire if there is an issue.

UPDATE:

OK, this fix is too easy!
Click on the Weeks tab in your ACTIVITY section then hover over the activity you wish to use as your goal and then EDIT. This will change the options available to you on your SWITCH GOALS link at the top of the page.
Like I said, too easy!

USAWIFE: I think I will.

Robbin: I can *see* miles and steps but if my daily mile goal is 6 miles, 6x7 (days of the week) should equal 42, not 35!

Mine shows both steps and miles

I tried to get mine to change and it did not work either. you might want to contact customer service as the issue might be something on their end

Everybody tells me that they would love to knit, but they don't have time. I look at people's lives and I can see opportunity and time for knitting all over the place. The time spent riding the bus each day? That's a pair of socks over a month. Waiting in line? Mittens. Watching TV? Buckets of wasted time that could be an exquisite lace shawl. ~Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, At Knit's End: Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much

I used to have mine set at steps. I changed it (successfully!) to miles (6mi/day), which is great but the upper right corner that shows on Dashboard still says x% of 35 miles per week.

6mi/day=42mi/week, right? What am I missing?

Thanks!
