If I could get it to enter my food in the tracker, I probably pay $500 for a new one!

Some of the apps I use are:
1) one that emails me if I have not synched.
2) synch to Endomondo
3) synch to Earndit
4) synch to a weight trending graph report

None, other than it is quite addictive.
Have you visited their App gallery page? Here is the link:

There are several apps you may find helpful with regards to the management of your One.

Well maybe not a manual but at least something that says ALL the feature options you can do.

There is no way I would have ever known about using the stop watch for specific exercises if no one had mentioned it on here.

I pretty thoroughly read the fit-bit site before I got mine to make sure I wanted it because of the extra cost. Was originally going to just get a regular cheapo ( $15 ) pedometer.

Is there any other features I may not be aware of, that aren't explained on the site?

Agreed but I think the company feels that most consumers don't even look at a manual when they receive their product. At the very least you get some instructions on how to start with the One. With the Ultra you basically received nothing at all!

Oh OK thank I didn't know you could do that.

I think its kind of weird that there is no actually manual for the fit bit IN the box that it comes in. I know there is a online one but I think they should still have one in the box.

@ VIZZLEV:

Basically it is all about movement and the time of day. Very little movement overnight will usually be interpreted as sleep, while a lot of movement during daylight hours will normally be interpreted as an activity. Both types of RECORDINGS (sleep or activity) also have the option of being switched to the other if FB got it wrong.

I thought you were only suppose to push the button and start the stopwatch when you're going to sleep. How does my fitbit know the difference between a sleep recording and a workout recording?

@ MATALYNN:

You may consider creating RECORDINGS of your various activities. These will provide you with a "snapshot" of a certain time period during the day. To create a RECORDING hold down the button on your One until the stopwatch starts. Do you activity. When you have completed the activity then hold the same button down until the stopwatch stops. Once your One has synced with the FB site click on the ACTIVITIES tab and your recording will be with with its individual graph. You are able to edit the time started, time ended, and add notes for this recording. To do so click on the EDIT icon on the upper right hand corner of the graph. Be careful because the DELETE icon is right next to the EDIT icon.
And, yes, the calories burned estimation that most cardio machines provide is very high compared to what you actually burn.

OK I figured out what is going on. The mn I walked on the treadmill was 45 mn and the treadmill said i burned 450 cal ( which is roughly 10 cal burned a minute )but on fit-bit site i examined it closer and calculated the cal for treadmill and it says I am only burning about 30 calories for a 5 mn span. making my 45 mn walk really only burning 270 cal ( close estimate calculation ). So then the other calories from my morning fairly active 40 mn was added also but by fitbit was only 120 calories for it ( about 15 calories for 5 mn )

I always new those gym machines were off with the calories burned but never thought it off by that much.

I use myfitnesspal to sync my fitbit. I tried SP for about 2 weeks and it just wasn't my bag.

OK so its my second day with fit-bit and I went to the gym and walked on the treadmill for 40 mn and a stepper machine for 15 and had just regular activity in the morning.

But I noticed when i synched with my fitness on sp that i had 80 fit-bit minutes but only about 380 calories so when i was looking at the fit-bit site where you can break down your activity to time active I had 40 mn of very active and 40 mn of fairly active which would match my 40mn at the gym treadmill and and the fairly active was 15 on stepper machine walking dogs b4 gym and walking and getting ready at home but the calories were only for the very active. I know I burned at least 380 cal from the treadmill cause i was on it for 45 mn with high incline and 4.0-4.4 pace.

So I was just wondering why they don't have calories for the fairly active showing up too on the sp fitness page also. Its a little confusing. cause they should only show the very active mn then if they aren't going to count the calories for the fairly active time.

just wondering if others have noticed this too?
