@ TRIATHLONBABE:

If you are interested in keeping track of your activities you can add these activities in the FITNESS NOTES section (at the bottom of your Fitness page); otherwise, I would follow BOOKAPHILE's suggestion (so as to avoid double posting of minutes/calories).

I log strength training that doesn't include many steps directly on Sparkpeople. You might also want to include swimming, bicycling and anything else that is exercise but wouldn't register as steps on fitbit.

Question: When you are logging your activity in SP, after syncing your FitBit, do you still log all of your specific activities for the day?

I've had mine for a month and the only time I lost it was the day I put it in my pocket because I was wearing a white shirt and the black clip showed through. Luckily I lost it in the house and it ended up in my shoe somehow.

I have a leash- but it doesn't hook up nicely to to the clip. But I either wear my One on my hip, in my pocket, or on my bra- it all depends on the day!

Agreed, I have grown to love the floor counting, too! It certainly would be great if the FB were interchangeable.

Agreed, Terry- WELL WORTH IT!
Raul, yes they have had to have accounted for that.. being worn on the wrist..so hopefully the numbers would be really close. They need to make it differently, because the others on the wrist show too much activity. (that's why they work for sleep.. showing each arm movement) I don't want to wear one on the wrist ALL the time though, and I'd miss the floors. So I am not planning on getting a Flex. (I returned the Zip I had.)
I do wish we could switch back and forth .. so I could run with the wrist one and wear another one the rest of the time.

I've only had my fitbit for a week, but, I love it!! It's amazing to see just how much I walk and the number of stairs i climb a day (no wonder I'm tired at the end of the day)...This was money worth spent!

Congrats on the 100,000 steps week Vicki!
Thank you for information. I suspected that the data from the One and the Ultra would be similar. The Zip comparison is surprising. I wonder how the Flex will compare. I suspect the numbers might be higher given you wear this device on your wrist.

Hi Raul, funny i was just thinking of sending you a message.. as I am about to hit 100,000 for the past 7 days! Whoo hoo!! When I get up tomorrow that number will be gone!

The numbers were pretty close, closer than the Zip. The One gave me more VAM, as did the Zip when I tried it. Is that because my Ultra knows I am quite active and makes me work harder for my VAM? I have to say that after this happened with the Zip, i pay less attention to VAM and Active Score (which was also higher, as it depends a lot on VAM) cause they seem too variable. The steps were more off with the Zip. The One and the Ultra were really close :)

And there's my 100.. catch in on my dashboard while you can! I

Hey Vicki:
Out of curiosity how did the data compare when you wore both?

I've only had my Fit Bit for a week now. I clip it to my bra daily and haven't had any slippage issues.

I have used the One since November with its little rubberized clip. I wear it on the coin pocket with the bottom stuck into the bigger pocket when I wear jeans. If I don't have a pocket or a thin waistband, I wear it on the bra. I've never used a leash and never even had a close call about losing it. I can see it might come off IF you didn't clip it fully on your clothing or IF you wore it in a place that rubbed the case aside so it could stretch and drop the fitbit, but I've never had a problem with it. I really like it!

Nope, no leash. I keep meaning to look into the leashes you all mention sometimes; but, have not done that yet. I use the little soft plastic holder that came with it.

using both at the same time on one dashboard under one account, can't be done, but the dummy account like you and I mentioned can

Amy, yes, I bought it as a backup. I created a dummy account for it and wore it for a couple of days next to my Ultra, for comparison. Then I stopped wearing it.. I didn't like it as much but decided not to return it, since I am on my third Ultra and know this one too, will crack one day. I probably should have held out as they do seem to keep producing newer models.. but I didn't want to be without one at all. It's too bad you can't easily switch between them on one account, as I would run with the One as it is more waterproof.

Pam, I'm not sure what you mean by setting them both up on the dashboard?

Amy, i have both and you have to set them up on the dashboard for each model and it will go into the one account, but you can't switch /alternate between them

You probably could have two different accounts if you were to wear both but they would not sync together and both defeinely would not sync to SP, it would have to be one of the other

What do use the one for? A backup. Will the both sync your same account? Of course on different days

Knocking on wood... I've used the One daily for about 3 months now and it has never fallen off. I wear it on the waistband.

I think so. I have never lost my Ultra as I clip it over the bra. I tried the One which popped off the bra, (though I noticed right away, it perhaps wasn't pushed down all the way) and it also looks like it could pop out of the "mandatory" clip holder ( I have read reports of this)
I'm not sure how the leash would help but I know people use them (maybe more on the waist?) I don't want to be bothered with a leash. I never had an issue with the Ultra (using it without that big clip.)

i wear mine on my bra so it is about the same as loosing the ultra

Some have said it is easier for the case to break on the one compared to the ultra
