This is really timely for me as my Ultra died today on my long run. No matter where I put it here in the PNW it is exposed to either sweat or rain and they don't last long. I have to say, though, that I have never seen such good customer service for anything ever and even though it's sounds terrible, I LOVE MY FITBIT!

Sounds like I'll get the One as I live in a house with a lot of stairs and I have been known to run down the the basement & back up late at night just to pass some threshold. I used to do the sleep thing a lot and it is interesting but it can't really tell the difference between laying still & sleeping.

thanks

@triathalonbabe, make sure your Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. You may also need to pair your phone and Fitbit. This confused me at first, as well.

@ TRIATHLONBABE:

It should sync every 15 minutes when you are nearby your computer. Have you tried just reloading your FB page instead? It may be syncing but you just may be seeing old data on your FB page.

I went from an Ultra to a One and so far I like the One. I'm having a bit of an issue and it may not be, it may just be me trying to figure this thing out. I have the FB app on my phone, I don't get how the info downloads to it, if it's wireless. It's almost like it doesn't read my FB when I pull the app up on my phone. Also, it seems like I have to "Sync" my FB to my computer every time. I would think that if it's wireless that it would automatically sync. I don't mean to sound goofy but shouldn't it automatically sync when I get near the computer without me having to manually sync it?

I think I would really love a Flex although it doesn't track stairs. So, I just got the zip for now until it is available - then I will send the zip to my daughter. I'm really enjoying my lil blue Zip in the meantime though.

This is my first fitbit, so I just went with the Zip since Im just mainly counting my steps.
Im also using a app, Myfitnesspal to log my food as I find it easier than Sparkpeople for some reason and sync the stepping to fitbit.

I like the holder of my Zip---but not experienced the other one so no comparison---not sure if I really need all the other stuff on the One anyhow---I use it for the steps and do not bother with my sleep part anyhow.

I sell a lot of things on Ebay and did a search for the Fitbit One. There's several "buy it now" options for $89.99 + free shipping. I'll end up buying from there and get ebay bucks for purchasing on ebay that I can apply toward something else at the end of the quarter.

can't wait until I can order one!

Raul, thanks for the information. I talked to my friend this evening at our exercise group and she emailed Fitbit and they are sending her a new holder and wrist holder. I use my Ultra without the clip on my waistband.

Raul, the reason you find the One less bulky than the Ultra is that you used that big clip. You need a bra ;) I never use that big clip. Therefore the One is more bulky to me.

Love my Fitbit one. Thanks for the charging reminder. I wear it all time time, and am challenged to get in my 10 floors a day, and I do pretty well!

@ DLDMIL:

I have had no issues with the holder for the One. I charge my One every day so I remove it from its holder every day and I have never had it pop out. I do make sure that the device is securely wrapped by the holder and, like I did with my Ultra, I make sure it is on my person several times a day. I favor the One because it is much less bulkier than the Ultra, the screen is easier to read in the sunlight, and it is water-resistant!
Regarding the Flex, since it does not count floors or have a screen that can be checked throughout the day I think I will stay with my One.

Not sure where you are located, order it eiter from amazon, staples or best buy. You will get it a lot quicker than ordering directly from FB. Also if you get it from staples and you are a staples rewards member (free program) you will get five percent off the purchase online or in the store

I think I'll have to get the One. I like all the features, jut not the price right now. I love the Burgundy color shown, but Black is really nice and goes with everything.

Hubby is paying bills right now. I'd better wait till he goes to work tomorrow to order..hehe

I was wondering about the silicone holder on the One...but the zip just seems to be a much lower caliber than the Ultra or One. I'd miss the stairs and sleep tracking and backlight. I can't believe there's no backlight! I really loved the Ultra. I wonder if the One will fit in the Ultra's clip? I'll have to sneak this order, my hubby is not going to like this.... emoticon

I appreciate your comment..it really helped

I bought the One because I don't have to buy batteries for it like the zip requires. It recharges from the computer. That will pay for the difference in price eventually. I've had mine since November and never had a problem with the holder.

That is exactly why I am not thrilled with the One.. the holder! I am afraid it will pop out. The Zip has a similar holder. It is overall less sensitive (no stairs, no sleep tracking, and no backlight when you press to read the display)

I don't think they compare! Definitely get the One if the extra $ is available.
I've tried all 3.. I returned the Zip. I really prefer the Ultra best, but I know its days are limited, so I just got a One cause the price was down to 93 on Amazon. (the price varies there) I tried it out, and decide to save until the day the Ultra breaks. (I'm on my third Ultra, they seem to last 5-7 months, but I'm being really careful since this is my last one.)

I still have the Ultra and love it. I am not sure what I will do when I have to replace it. My friend has a One and is not pleased with the little rubber holder. She has had it for about a month and the One will not stay in the holder.

Today, I dusted off my Fitbit Ultra, had it charging from my laptop usb on the bed. I got excited thinking about dedicating myself again to logging in and track everything. I even Re introduced myself to the team, added more friends and ready to start tomorrow.

Then the inevitable happened......Fitbit Ultra got broken (by me) climbing over my husband on the bed because the dog wouldn't move....Well, I ended up sitting on it...UGH!

So here I am asking because I'm in the market for a new Fitbit. Which is your favorite?
