I'm new to the Fitbit as well and not sure how the challenges work. I don't do a lot of walking but have started getting on my treadmill every day for at least 60 minutes. That's my minimum for the treadmill, until it starts to warm up then I'll be walking outside and can probably get more steps in. I do get more steps in when my husband and I go out exploring our area when its nice and it looks like it's going to start getting nicer around where I live. I'm looking forward to being able to be outside more.

There are other challenges? Where do I find those? I was hoping for some simple weekly challenges here, like stair climbing or steps or something. New to this group as I just got my Fitbit this week and really like it so far! I needed something to encourage me to move more!

I find it challenging BUT I also know my limitations and time available to be able to get in that many steps. I also think a lot of these getting that amount of steps have jobs where they do walk a lot each day (like in warehouses ) and can do it.

Also a lot go hiking or running each week which gives them more steps And you also have to figure those who wear it on the treadmill and get more steps that way

So do what you can do and challenge yourself perhaps with others who are walking about the same or a bit more than yourself

Everybody tells me that they would love to knit, but they don't have time. I look at people's lives and I can see opportunity and time for knitting all over the place. The time spent riding the bus each day? That's a pair of socks over a month. Waiting in line? Mittens. Watching TV? Buckets of wasted time that could be an exquisite lace shawl. ~Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, At Knit's End: Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much

Does anyone else find the FitBit Challenge disheartening? I strive for my 10,000 steps daily. I get very excited when I am able to achieve more than that. However, I am getting very discouraged with the challenge. When I log into the challenge on the 4th day of the month and see that people are already over 100,000 steps and a couple of people are already close to or over 150,000; I don't even want to bother. I think it's fabulous that they can walk or run that many steps in a day, but for me it's not realistic.

I joined the challenge. Just don't know when it ends. The first page says SP is "extending the challenge". The details list an ending entry date of March 1st. Confusing.

From what I understood, once you have your fb synced to SP your numbers are automatically sent to the challenge
