I am really pleased with my fitbit. It works So MUCH better and is infinitely more accurate than all the other pedometers I've had. The weekly reports are so helpful and informative. Never had anything like that before. I am hopeful that between fitbit and Sparkpeople I will be healthier and happier. Gerry
Just pulled my Fitbit Ultra out of its winter hibernation in the dresser and am trying to sync it with SP. This is very exciting! The minutes of activity seem to connect. . .but what about the food tracking? I think I'm missing a piece. Can someone please help? Thanks!
I agree! I had another type of monitor that's pushed here on SP and on a certain TV show and it was a complete and utter waste of money. Not only was it completely obtrusive because I had to wear it on my arm, which meant alot of people asked questions. It also was VERY inaccurate. It would count activity if you walked or ran, but if you rode a bike, lifted weights or did the stepper, it counted zero activity. I complained to the company and their answer was to take the monitor off during that kind of activity and then manually load it! WHAT IS THE POINT? Also they charged a monthly fee!
With Fitbit, I've had none of those problems. SO MUCH BETTER at counting activity and no monthly fee. Plus I like the fact that it calculates my daily calorie intake based on my activity.

It was the best "fitness" purchase I have ever made. It has definitely opened my eyes to how sedentary I really was even though I'd do 30-60 minutes of cardio daily. It has prompted me to walk during my lunch breaks and buy a mini stepper for the office that I step on for a few minutes here and there throughout the day. Idon't know if I could ever go back to not having one. I feel totally naked without it.
