I'm glad someone mentioned the 3-hour timeframe. I've seen mine at its finest after a gym workout, but then later in the day the flower is smaller again, and I wondered what specifically was governing that behavior. Thanks for the insight.

When in doubt, take a hike.

When I've looked at my fitbit one, it has countless petals and 3 leaves and I haven't looked carefully before. I'd have to look more carefully in future! emoticon

The most petals I have ever seen on my ultra is six so perhaps like you say, newer ones have less leaves

Everybody tells me that they would love to knit, but they don't have time. I look at people's lives and I can see opportunity and time for knitting all over the place. The time spent riding the bus each day? That's a pair of socks over a month. Waiting in line? Mittens. Watching TV? Buckets of wasted time that could be an exquisite lace shawl. ~Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, At Knit's End: Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much

I have an ultra and had an older model of fitbit before I had my ultra. I am assuming it is the same with the one, and maybe the zip (but a different graphic). The flower on the ultra represents how active you have been over the past 3 (?) hours. It might be most biased towards your most recent activity (as it tends to grow quickly during exercise). I believe it goes up to 10 leaves. They use to say 11, I've never seen 11 leaves on my fitbit flower, 10 is the most I've counted.

when it is small, you are being least active and the larger it gets the more active you are being

it grows when you get out of bed because you are becoming active again and then when you rest for a while, it gets smaller

It is measuring your activity level

I understand in enteral - when I'm sitting still (like getting my spark points for the day) it gets smaller and when I'm walking around it gets bigger, and when I'm running it gets big. But what exactly is it measuring? Why does it grow immediately when I get out of bed in the morning, but stay tall for a while after I sit down...
