I am getting another fitbit-- I contacted fitbit and they told how to use rice to maybe dry out and then charge and maybe will work again,, but after a few days- not working at all. I got back to them and they are sending me a new one. I didn't think that would be possible so I ordered the smaller one on Amazon meanwhile and I will use both ha! The little magenta one was to be here today but have not seen it yet. My ultra was black that is why I ordered bright color!! But I am so happy to think I will be up and running again soon.

I have the ultra and it says that I wake up like 10 times but have a 95% sleep efficiency. it also says that I take about 200 steps in my sleep?? I am NOT a sleepwalker and not getting up to use the restroom so I am assuming this is just me moving my arm a lot

I've always known that I'm a hard sleeper and my FitBit has certainly verified it for me.
According to my FB I'm generally asleep in 2-5 minutes and for the most part I only wake up a couple times a night. I get a hard 7-8 hrs of sleep and I still have a horrible time getting up. I'm also tired throughout the day, especially come 2-3 in the afternoon. I could take a 20 minutes power nap everyday, then I seem to be good until about 9:00pm.
Even on the nights in which I feel I didn't sleep very well - only 5-6 hrs, I still get a 90+% sleep efficiency. I LOVE my sleep - - and my Fitbit! It's an amazing little device.

WAKEUP60, I would be devastated if something happened to my FB!
Hope it starts working for you or you're able to replace it. Good Luck!!

WOW! I really regret that workout

I am getting so disgusted-- My fitbit is not working at all again. Remember when I thought I killed it when it went in wash? Well, did the put in rice overnight and even charged it for 24 hours afterward. I thought it was all good to go but nope !! I wanted to use at health club this morning and so charged it last night ---or so I thought. It is deader than a door nail. When I got up this morning and checked the charge and it was only charged a little bit- in fact could barely make it out what the reading was. So left it on charger and checked it a few minutes ago and it won't even come on- black screen totally !!

It may also be that it is acurately tracking and you really are waking up that much. If that is the case, you may want to discuss with your doctor.

I should try the sleep tracker too- I am a very light sleeper so thought it wouldn't be good for me as I wake up several times a night. Thinking about trying it anyway.

that sleep tracker is amazing.... it tells you how long it takes to get to sleep and how many times you are awake.. this is one reason i wear mine 24/7 except for showering.

might check for the "sensitive" mode .... I changed mine to see the difference and it cut my sleep in half .... I know better than that as I am a pretty heavy duty sleeper .... talk to me fast cause I'm asleep in less than 3 minutes ..... LOL .... I put it back to the regular mode which is more realistic for me .... and it does accurately say when I get up in the night for any special trips ....

I can tell a huge difference between 7-8 and 6-7 hours of sleep. SP has a sleep newsletter and other tools that I would explore. Some of the suggestions would be to stop caffeine at a certain point in the day, don't read in bed, avoid emails and the computer in general prior to bedtime, etc.

When you check it on the FB page are you looking at it on sensitve mode or regular mode

It might also be that you are turning over a lot at night which then causes the FB to believe you are awake and it allows you 20 minutes after you calm down to figure you are asleep again

Everybody tells me that they would love to knit, but they don't have time. I look at people's lives and I can see opportunity and time for knitting all over the place. The time spent riding the bus each day? That's a pair of socks over a month. Waiting in line? Mittens. Watching TV? Buckets of wasted time that could be an exquisite lace shawl. ~Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, At Knit's End: Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much

I, too, am amazed at the lack of sleep I'm getting, too. My fitbit indicates I wake up on average 15 times a night. No wonder I'm tired during the day.

I am astounded by how much sleep I am NOT getting! Do I need to be concerned my fitbit indicates I am only sleeping 3-4 hours each night? I must admit my number one health complaint is that I am tired all of the time. I am in bed long enough to get a solid eight hours of sleep but apparently I am not doing much sleeping. Any suggestions??? emoticon
