On your FB page, under the ACTIVITY tab, you can enter the following search item:
Automobile or light truck (not a semi) driving
and then just enter your start time and end time and this will remove any activity that you "earned" while driving! Unfortunately I have not found one for elevators but perhaps this might merit an email to TECH SUPPORT for FB. Hope this helps.

Yep, I live in the country, and my commute to work counts steps and stairs as well.... It's a bummer, but I haven't found a fix yet. I usually just estimate the artificial steps added from start of commute to finish, and in my mind deduct them from my total step count, since there isn't a way to delete them. Does anyone know how to adjust this with calories burned during this time? I'm afraid it burns more than it should because of the inaccurate steps...
I have Not encountered this...my Fitbit one is keeping accurate count of what I'm doing. I haven't yet experienced it saying I did stairs when I didn't...but it was for a while not counting stairs I was doing, till someone suggested that I don't stop during till I'm at the top of my stairs. It worked.
I'm Not Where I Need to Be...BUT...Thank God I'm NOT Where I Used to Be!

Others have said this on the Fitbit page. I also found that my FB counts stairs when I am on an escalator
Everybody tells me that they would love to knit, but they don't have time. I look at people's lives and I can see opportunity and time for knitting all over the place. The time spent riding the bus each day? That's a pair of socks over a month. Waiting in line? Mittens. Watching TV? Buckets of wasted time that could be an exquisite lace shawl. ~Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, At Knit's End: Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much A true friend reaches for your hand but touches your hea
