I agree with USMAWIFE, please send an email to FB's Customer Service. You may have a defective base station. You might also consider moving the base station to another USB connection. The one that your base station is connected to may not be working correctly.
I have had that last issue. Once I found a good USB connection I have never had to disconnect the base station (now the USB dongle since I own the One). Good luck and please keep us posted.
