When I had my ultra I had trouble syncing until I got a wireless router. After that I had no trouble. I just put that out there as I don't know if you have a modem or a wireless router. I have upgraded to a fitbit one as my ultra stopped working. If customer service can't help you I can give you my old base station, but yours is still under warranty so I would peruse emailing customer service.

I agree with USMAWIFE, please send an email to FB's Customer Service. You may have a defective base station. You might also consider moving the base station to another USB connection. The one that your base station is connected to may not be working correctly.
I have had that last issue. Once I found a good USB connection I have never had to disconnect the base station (now the USB dongle since I own the One). Good luck and please keep us posted.

I would contact FB's customer service I have had my ultra since March and don't have that issue Perhaps they could help you solve it

Everybody tells me that they would love to knit, but they don't have time. I look at people's lives and I can see opportunity and time for knitting all over the place. The time spent riding the bus each day? That's a pair of socks over a month. Waiting in line? Mittens. Watching TV? Buckets of wasted time that could be an exquisite lace shawl. ~Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, At Knit's End: Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much A true friend reaches for your hand but touches your hea

I will follow this thread! I'm sorry that I don't have any advice but I also have this problem. Thank goodness it is not every day but I bet I have to do it 4-6 times a month. Kind of aggravating!

Had my FitBit Ultra for almost a week now, and I love it. What I do NOT love is rebooting the base station at least once daily when it fails to record activity. I have to unplug the USB, reboot the computer, then plug the station back into the USB.

Anyone have any good suggestions? My husband said to reinstall the software. I guess I'm looking for alternatives but he's probably correct. :) I'm just hoping I don't have a malfunctioning base station.
