Does it hold the info for 7 days or 10 days? I think I saw both on here. I have the Ultra if that makes a difference.

Thanks

Rosinvn, I have traveled through security, also but if you go through an airport with one of the body scans then you could get questioned, I did but it wasn't a problem. When I go through a body scan airport, I just put my in my purse while going through security.

SYNCING AND COMPATIBILITY
iPhone 4S and higher
iPad, 3rd generation and higher
iPod touch, 5th generation
PCs & Macs
NEW select Android devices
(Samsung Galaxy S III , Note II)

**** I don't know why they have such restrictions on their syncing but I also have an Android device and that is where I would like the info to go since it is always with me. I have to wonder if they will be expanding this ability at anytime in the future? I have 4G and think it should be able to work with my device just as well as the Samsung.

While looking into getting a fitbit I saw where It is supposed to link with smartphones that have bluetooth and 4G. My android has both and yet my fitbit one will not sync. I am not going to an Iphone, but may return my fitbit for a refund if I can find another device that will.
Is there just something wrong with my fitbit? is there an app out there for the Android users? Any suggestions. I travel a lot and can't keep my computer with me. Very frustrating!!

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can,.....

The FitBit will sync with the iPhone 4S and the iPhone 5, as well as the two latest editions of the iPad. It will NOT sync with older models, unfortunately. Not sure about Android or anything else.

Hi Jean,

I just got my fitbit and it syncs with my iPhone just fine. I downloaded the iPhone app and it just works. There is no app for the iPad yet as far as I can tell.

Nice to spot someone I know on this team too emoticon

Fitbit syncs with a laptop computer, but not directly with an iPhone, iPad, or iPod. When we leave for more than 7 days, I take the laptop with us.

I have worn my Fitbit through security checks over and over with no problems. I know some airports security is more sensitive than others, but I have been fine with mine. If you take it off for security check, be sure to get it back on again.

I am just hearing about fitbit and trying to learn more.. will it sync with a phone or iPod or iPad? If so, that could help while on vacation. The thing about the time zones stinks though!

My fitbit ultra kept track and stayed charged through our 10 Christmas break when I forgot to bring the connector home from school.

The only thing that surprised me about traveling with my FitBit was that it didn't adjust its clock to my location. I live in Mountain Standard time, and I traveled two time zones away. My steps got a bit messed up with my body in one time zone and my FitBit in another.

I read on the fitbit forum that it holds the activity data for 7 days--well that was the Ultra anyway. I would expect the new fitbit models to be similar. I have worn mine through security with no problem, and it has also been caught which resulted in searching and questions. I suggest taking it off when you go through security if you remember. I put it in my purse and have had no issues with that.

Good luck and have fun. I'm loving that it holds data for a few days. I found this out myself when I had trouble syncing my fitbit for some reason but it kept track of the info even though I wasn't able to sync. I'm glad to hear that it will hold at least 5 days worth of information.

i have gone a week without charging my ultra and no problems. just get a good charge

Everybody tells me that they would love to knit, but they don't have time. I look at people's lives and I can see opportunity and time for knitting all over the place. The time spent riding the bus each day? That's a pair of socks over a month. Waiting in line? Mittens. Watching TV? Buckets of wasted time that could be an exquisite lace shawl. ~Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, At Knit's End: Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much
