you might want to pre order it you also may want to see if best buy and amazon have it finally on their sites you will get it a lot quicker

Everybody tells me that they would love to knit, but they don't have time. I look at people's lives and I can see opportunity and time for knitting all over the place. The time spent riding the bus each day? That's a pair of socks over a month. Waiting in line? Mittens. Watching TV? Buckets of wasted time that could be an exquisite lace shawl. ~Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, At Knit's End: Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much

I do not own a fitbit yet but learned about it this week and I wanted to get the One right away. I went to the site and saw the Flex is coming out and I'm waiting for that. I think that would be much better for me :) I'm very excited!!

I am pretty sure that it does track steps... this is what the "ad" for it says:

Flex™ Wireless
Activity + Sleep Wristband
Tracks steps, distance, calories burned, active minutes, hours slept and quality of sleep.

@ INGMARIE:
Click on your picture on the upper right hand side of your FB page. That will drop down a menu, click on Account Setting and this will open a page where you can adjust your walking and running stride. The FB is not dead-on accurate but it is within less than 1% of the actual distance (when your stride is set correctly). I ran a half marathon last weekend, which is 13.1 miles and my FB credited me with 13.5 miles. Considering that I probably took some extra steps along the route that is pretty darn accurate!

@ USMAWIFE:
Thanks for sharing this link. I am very interested in the Flex although the fact that it does not track steps is a bummer.

Since this product will not be realized for a few more months, it would be hard for a lot of us to know that information yet.

I just bought a zip and am loving it. What I don't like about the flex is that you can't check your steps unless you are near a computer.

Ehh, I prefer the aesthetic of the One. (If I'm lucky my replacement will show up and not get lost in the mail this time!)

I really like the One because I can wear it discreetly at work. The Flex may be a little more "on display" than I'd want during business hours. I do like how many choices the company offers.
